Bouse Fisherman Intaglio & Quartzsite Rock Alignment

The Quartzsite Rock Alignment consists of the word "QUARTZSITE" spelled out in 11-foot letters along with an arrow, a compass, and the number 11 indicating the distance to Quartzsite. It is pretty interesting to see from the ground, but of course looks much better viewed from the air. It was formed in the late 1920s or early 1930s to assist pilots delivering mail.

The Bouse Fisherman Intaglio is a little further along Plomosa Road towards Bouse. No one knows the origins, or exactly when it was formed. Hundreds of years ago? Thousands? From the ground it doesn't look like much. From the air though, it is quite remarkable and detailed.
