I'm amazed at your threading an arrow through all those twigs!

@Cheekis102 your wrong. this can get cleaner because he spined the deer, thats why it dropped. heart shots are cleanest, spine not so much
@brycerush98
@brycerush98 10 лет назад
Why is a spine shot so frowned upon does it not kill the deer and paralyze it I mean I guess he doesn't die as quick but once he's paralyzed like that you can quickly move in and finish him im just asking so no hate plz
@prakticlej8677
@prakticlej8677 7 лет назад
Bryce Rush I agree I know people that spine shoot when it's there then drop a second arrow in their lungs or as close to the heart as possible.

Let's end the Hate Debate by saying this: He obviously didn't TRY to spine the buck - no respectable hunter ever does. And it's impossible to aim for, you would miss 90% of the time with a target that small. The reason he looks excited isn't because he spined the buck, but because he SHOT it. Anybody who shoots a large buck with a nice rack is going to grin. I am sure he put it down as quickly as possible after. I will admit though, it's not nice to see them suffer - we hunters try 2 avoid it

He would have hit it in the lungs just like its supposed to, it dropped a little before the impact,, I've had em do that to, and have shot and the not flinch an inch,, ya never know if they will or not,, but for all of the people criticizing the guy ought to suck a dick,, dead is dead..

Hi! Can i use a part of this video in a compilation to promote bowhunting? In our country, we're fighting to legalize bowhunting, and we need some collections of GREAT bowhunting videos that show how quickly animals die from a broadhead to the vitals.

I've made a mech broadhead that has 500 pound fishing line which is tied to a tree so when the deer runs 15 feet it yanks the broadband outwards doing double damage does this seem super stupid or does it have a point?

The animals you get your meat from at the super-market get killed too, but that meat from that deer is nothing like you would buy at the super-market. No chemicals, no hormones. That is as natural and clean as you will ever find. I agree whitetail deer are beautiful animals. Not one hunter makes a perfect shot on a deer every time he or she shoots one.
@MathewsHunter117
@MathewsHunter117 12 лет назад
@Cheekis102 actually it was a spine shot paralyzing the deer it didn't die right there it probably couldn't move its legs you'd know that if you read the description im sure he shot it again after the camera went off.

@Cheekis102 No the reason they drop like that with a BOW is when you hit them in the spine. ruining some of the tenderloins and backstrap

Yes, but in this case the vitals were more than likley not hit. A second arrow is reqiured threw vital organs before it will die.

I have been watching bow hunting videos for a while on You Tube. I am completely burned about people's comments. The anti-hunters make their comments and the hunters respond. All very counter productive. Why do antis watch these videos? You are preaching to the choir. Why do hunters respond to them? You're making them feel justified. And last but not least I'm tired of the other hunters who think that they are perfect and criticize at every opportunity.

I unfortunately spine-shot a 7pt this past bow season. First time I've ever done it without purposely trying to (A straight down shot) and it was the result of the deer jumping the string on me(another first) at about 19 yards. Reason I say unfortunately is I did not have time for a second shot as he fell down on the backside of some brush and small trees. By the time I could get down from the treestand with another arrow, he had dis-lodged the broadhead from his back, managed to regain mobility and took off. Tracked for a while, ran out of blood, quickly realized I did not hit any vitals(IE: The top of the lungs) and that the deer went on to survive that archery season, and the following rifle season. So, that's the only good fortune to come from it. I'm sure he'll be sore for awhile but can't tell you how sick to my stomach I was thinking I was going to let an animal die a slow death even though realistically I couldn't of done anything differently since he indeed jumped the string pretty hard.

Nice shot. Bushes were in the way looked like he was starting to realize the jig was up. And for all the critics shut up really get a life. I have shot a deer before with a 300 180 grain bullet 50 yards double lung shot it lived for 30 minutes before I found it still alive. That's when you pull your trusty knife out and open its throat. A lot of deer jerk after hitting the ground. Nice buck man.

that is true, both my first two deers where gut shots. mind you both shots went through the heart and lungs so the bad shot didn't cause the animal to suffer, (both dropped within 50 yards) just was a mess for me to clean up afterwards. and it was stinky

@Andrew0099 Really??? You do know that the deer jumped the bow string...that's why it was hit in the spine. He ducked it just enough that the arrow got his spine...with that said it was a great shot, the deer just happened to jump the string...happens all the time. Maybe you should stop talking trash and pay attention to the video.

Everyone always talks about extinction but no one ever mentions over population, too many deer means less food for the growing population of animals. I'm not saying you should kill a deer every time you see one, but never killing any animals has repercussions. Look at the native Americans when Columbus came to America, they were more in touch with animals than we were, and they still hunted them, because they are NORMAL and clear thinkers and knew when to stop hunting, and when it was time to.

@tharve03 If you had any idea of animal anatomy, when you spine shoot an animal above the shoulders it cuts the spinal cord and the animal dies within seconds because the heart and lungs stop due to no neural transmission from the organ to the brain. Not from a slow bleed out as you said. Before you make false claims, make sure you know animal anatomy.

+Ryan Oremovich Yeah all these shots I see people taking through brush bother me too, but remember your watching though the camera's point of view, not the hunters. Often it may look like there's a danger of a branch deflecting the arrow from the camera's view, but to the hunter, he can he see a clear path for a clean shot.

you do realize without deer season that deers will populate 50% of their entire population in a year. which will cause havoc on the environment and kill off a lot of native animals in that area.

I would like to see you hit the bulls eye every time. Perhaps we can go to the range together and you can show me your perfect marksmanship. Give it up no matter what happens people are going to get upset. It's unfortunate when an animal suffers but shit happens. Im sure it wasn't done on purpose. My father neck shot a doe last season and had to put a second arrow in her to put her out of her misery. ( She took a step backwards when he released the arrow.) There is nothing you can do sometimes

You need to immediately put another arrow in that deer! Every time a deer drops from an arrow it is spine shot and the first reaction should be putting an arrow in vitals not celebrating while a paralyzed deer is laying there alive.
@THEBEAVEREATER
@THEBEAVEREATER 2 года назад
No way that's a spine shot..ive shot tons of deer in the vitals and dropped them in there tracks
@AO-ip6yx
@AO-ip6yx 2 года назад
I guarantee that was a spine shot. And no you haven’t dropped tons of deer in their tracks with a bow and arrow without hitting them in the spine. never does a Deer drop from getting hit with an arrow in the vitals all you have to do is watch the thousands of kills on video to realize this…maybe in your world but not in the real world! You are lying or have no idea what you are talking about.

I have atleast 20 times shot and dripped deer in ther vitals I always shoot quartering away and blow the opposite shoulder out they drop I shoot a ravin and it drops them most of the time..I jave killed thousands of deer all over the qorld
@AO-ip6yx
@AO-ip6yx 2 года назад
@@THEBEAVEREATER For a person that has been all over the world you aren’t very good at using spell check😉. Anyway, I still understood, you said you’ve dropped at least 20 deer in their tracks without hitting the spine. You also said you’ve shot thousands of deer all over the world. I’ll assume “deer” means big game animals and I’ll also asume thousands means 2,000 as that is the minimum that it could suggest. So out of 2,000 animals, 20 of them dropped where they stood correct? That means roughly %2 of the time. First, I wouldn’t call 2% “all the time”, nor would anybody I know. It would be more like occasionally, sometimes, rarely, or once in a great while. Second, A spine shot is obvious by the way the deer reacts physically, it is an immediate shut off of the body, usually involves the straightening of the limbs, . an involuntary nerve reaction and it is obvious when it happens. This deer was spined, no question about it. Yes, a deer can drop when hit with an arrow without a spine shot, is it the norm? No, the reason a deer drops it it’s tracks when hit with an arrow is because it was spined the overwhelming majority of the time.
@AO-ip6yx
@AO-ip6yx 2 года назад
@@THEBEAVEREATER Also, at the end of the video you can clearly see the deer trying to get up with its front legs working and it’s back legs are dead weight, it can’t move them a millimeter, how does that happen without a spinal cord injury, like being hit with an arrow? Oh, and you can see the hole in the spine quite clearly!

Absolutley amazing how all these "pros" never ever miss. What a joke. Even the real professional hunters miss the sweet spot from time to time. That is why it isn't called target practice. Ask the real pros like Mike Waddell, Jim Shockey, Stan Potts if they miss. It even happens on their TV shows . If these twits think they are better shots than Stan Potts they are full of it. You got a nice buck that fell in it's tracks. Good work, great video, too!

Ok now that I took some aggression out on the haters, I would like to talk about the video. I know it wasn't the best shot to take but if you notice I drew back at like 39 sec into the video and released over a minute later. For me that was a long time to hold that draw. I knew that buck could stand there as long as he wanted and if i let the draw down he'd probably see me and be gone. So argue with me if you want about the shot but he filled my freezer quite nicely.
