Outstanding explanation. Thank you so much. I had a Hartmanns procedure 10 months ago in the UK. Hoping for a reversal soon. I have adhesions and your explanation was so very helpful in visualising my issue and the likely outcome. My problems started with diverticulitis. I’d never even heard of it when I went to A&E. Next day they operated and removed part of my colon and left me with the stoma. I can’t stress enough how important it is to not ignore the symptoms and get it checked out. I would have died from the peritonitis if I’d left it any longer. I feel so lucky to be alive.

Very nicely and clearly done. You let a few medical terms slip without definition, such as "necrosis" (which means death of a tissue, anyone who is confused), and "sepsis" which means infection of the bloodstream often caused by "peritonitis" which is infection of the "sac" surrounding the gut, but by and large QUITE understandable by anyone who makes an effort and some understanding of plumbing. Your explanatory and artistic skills are very impressive.

I have general surgery exam tomorrow (just 12 hours later) and I have been watching your videos about general surgery for 1.5 hours. This is not normal in my exam times in general. However, your videos really make on my mind an overview like you say and I learn/remember the pathopysiology of diseases, this makes the informations be permanent. Like you say on your website “We have two hands. One of our hands for ourselves, one of our hands for others”. Thank you for share one of your hand with us. Loves and respects form Turkey. Omg you are so accurate with that. ERs in America are the worst inn the world! ER doctors: Your issues don't fit my kindergarten chart they gave me after I made it thru to the fifth grade. I'm finally getting a pill cam tomorrow morning. I found a real doctor that studied and practiced in India before moving here so he knows allot more than these doctors that are paid to drag any illness as looking as they can, no wonder America has the worst cure rate percentage in the world but America pays the most for health care. Tell me someone's not getting PAID!!

Stephanie P So where do we go to to avoid getting a run around? Canada, UK? US doctors suck? If u get a bowel obstruction and sepsis...they would have to sedated u and cut u open right? Treatment is still top of the line in the world right? Or is it like winning the lottery to get a competent ER doc and surgeon?

Armando. Fantastic video. I’ve had a number of small bowel obstructions due to adhesions and the first time I went to A&E by myself in a taxi with a sick bowl convinced I had food poisoning! I was quickly diagnosed but the surgeons shield you from all of this. By the time of my 2nd 2 weeks later, I was a google expert and therefore terrified, lol. I also got MRSA and sepsis that time and was lucky to survive. Best video I’ve seen though with just facts and no scaremongering. Thanks.

I believe I have dyssynergic defecation. I have been this way since I was 5. This would be classified under myopathy. I realized that there were white bumps appearing all over my body if I allowed stool to build up. After a few days of taking laxatives, enemas and the aid of a finger my skin began to clear up. I guess that the toxins were entering and circulating around my body and caused the skin problem. Does anyone know how to treat dyssynergic defecation?
