Looking at the comment section, its all patients here! I am a medical student and his videos are really helping me out! any other medical students here?
Thanks alot. Your videos are always so helpful! Could you make a video on anal fistula especially about Goodsall's law. I have hard time grasping the concept.
I developed a Perianal Abscess followed by an intersphincteric fistula. After doing an MRI, my fistula was classified as stage 2 according to St James classification indicating a
I had one and had to have to surgeries to get rid of it. Currently have a seton let's hope everything goes well. Please if you ever have a pain like it dont wait till it's to long tell your doctor and get help. There is no reason to be embarrassed.
@Blue 30's Not as much as the abcesses do. Unfortunately the seton didn't fully work and now a year later I am having the same issues. Also they give you or atleast me like a month of painmeds.
@@johnfalkenrath6485 my doctor made the incision so dam big he placed a square plastic and stitched it to drain the wound.. im so in pain and everytime i look at it i gag 😫
just got the surgery today. was wide awake. the worst pain ever. yeaa screaming and crying. horrible. was dealing with hemorrhoids for a year and a half. eventually it escalated to this mess. hopefully i have a full recovery and never have to deal with this again.
@@mv4242 funny you ask. that first procedure i should have sued tbh. all they did was drain it and didn’t even drain it right. plus they did it with no anesthesia. back in september i had to get a seton placed for a fistula. literally just yesterday they went in and replaced the seton with another and hopefully after this i’ll be done. this stuff his hard to get rid of y’all.
@@statpadford I have suffered from this abssess for 6 times and now i get a treatment of ksharsutra, that is permanent treatment of this fisula , I think u should try this ,
Oh I bet you wont if you experience one, I got Perianal abscess a few years ago and it is pain as F, after surgery you literary cannot sit and there is always a worry of a reinfection when defecation.
i have developed a perianal abscess when i was 4 years old, at that time the doctor cured it with an ointment.. recently after 14 years it has reappeared!! i had to undergo a surgery, because the abscess was super deep, almost like a fistula, but fortunately there was no connection with rectum... this shit is super annoying and painful, never underestimate or wait out/use remedies, always go to doctor! dont be ashamed of it, as it can grow into insane complication... right now its my 3rd day after surgery, 5 stitches, bleeding from both rectum and the wound, cant sit, can barely walk with really bad posture, cant even lie properly, bowel movement is pure agony! everyday fevers...and worst thing is that it can get easily infected...
@Kyta Fowler oh hi, well the worst and most painful phase was only around 2-3 weeks after surgery....aaand now im feeling great! the wound has closed within 1st month although the scar has not completely shrinked yet, sometimes i feel slight itching..i kept cleaning it with water cca 2-3 times a day and then disinfecting it with betadine once a day and filling it with some kind of gel, and changing gauze often, i was also using aquacel(i think its called) it has Ag+ and woah i was soo impressed how effective it was at curing the wound... and btw ive already had anal sex few times..and everything is okay, it doesnt even hurt...
Thank you so much! I just found a hot, painful lump on my - ahem, you know where - and suspect I have an anal abscess. Your video presented very useful information. I am calling my doctor first thing in the morning!
I got surgery last week and during the surgery it was so painful.. I was screaming in the hospital and it was embarrassing. But now I feel great and I can sit safely.
I had a total of 6 surgeries for anal infections. After the last one, I developed a fistula, which now I have to live with. I hope every day that I'll find some way to make it heal-up and go away. Great video, informative and helpful, thank you.
@@mustlovedogs5569 lol are u mad , who put random objects in anus , fistula are caused by constipation. Constipation leads to fissures and they further get infected and turn into fistula , u don’t even know how painful is this condition, how can u make such statement and make fun of this , are u even human 🤢
@@mv4242 oh I don’t insert things but I work in an operating room and ud be surprised. Bum hole owner definitely contributes to these conditions. They don’t magically happen. People should look into Botox injection there to help them heal.
I just jad my abscess surgically drained yesterday. Beforehandni had 10/10 pain expecially when my sphincter for days. Immediately relief but i am wondering why am i still contracting my sphincter? When i go to pee even incontract and its painful still because the wound thats left. How can i qiit doing this? Im afraid to go poop and have that happen
Oh wow I didn’t realise a bartholins cyst was classed as an anal abscess, I’ve had this twice now and over the last week or so I’ve been wondering if I have an anal abscess or the start of another cyst, it’s on the same side….. I also have Crohn’s disease

I don't know wether i have a abscess or anything else but i have some kind of pimple like thing in the edge of my anus and there's a opening in the middle of it I can touch it because it's like 2cm inside the opening of my anus it won't bleed but pain is high I can't poop properly and sit properly even walk properly because pain is getting much higher when it squeezes I need to know what is it
An anal abscess has formed outside my anal opening. A lump that is small grape size. I have been taking very high antibiotics by doctors prescription and taking warm baths. I could barely walk on the first day but after 4 days of medicine intake, I can now walk but the lump is getting hard and hard. The swelling area has been reduced. Should I still go for surgery or is it getting better? Do hard lumps eventually fall off?
I'm embarrassed to go to the doctors about this because it's not too severe yet, but after nicking my anus after shaving a few days later there is a pea sized submucosal pale swelling. Does anyone know if this could be an abscess growing, and could it disappear on its own? Or is it just some sort of inflammation, or haemorrhoids?
I would suggest that you go to the doctors office, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, it’s totally normal. Usually it can start as an infected hair follicule given you have shaved, then later develops into a fistula. Ignoring it is not the way to deal with jt as the infection can get worse over time and latter develop into more complex situations, Ex. Perianal fistula. I hope that your okay by the time you get this message.
@@2fifty3am40 Sharp pain, swelling and bleeding during bowel movement due to abscess and fissure... Medicine doesn't work because infection needs to be surgically drained... Had my surgery 2 weeks back... Feel much better now👍
@@2fifty3am40 You gotta accept the fact if its abscess then no way you're gonna get better with medicine or ointment. Sooner you get it surgically operated, lesser the chances to develop something major like fistula would be..! Although 50 % patients develop fistula after abscess treatment. Fingers Crossed!
@@2fifty3am40 It was a Day Surgey. I was given general anesthesia and surgery went for 1.5 hrs. After that I regained consciousness. There was no pain till 6-7 hrs due to local anesthesia injected and after that you need to take pain killers for couple of days and sitz path for pain management. Good Luck!
@@2fifty3am40 first i already go to a surgeon and he said its a perinial abcess spontaneosly open coz it drains itself,he just give me antibiotics and pain reliver but still i see ous draining untill now and still have some pain but my abcess has an opening so what shud i do i go back to doctor coz realy i am afraid
