Bowing for Irish Reels (Using Man of the House) 

In this Irish Fiddle lesson I look at choices and alternative strategies for bowing on Reels. Playing everything with single bows makes a tune lifeless and unstructured, while adding bowing patterns using slurs can emphasise certain beats of the bar. Using man of the House as an example, I set out a series of different approaches, explaining the purpose of each, its advantages and disadvantages.
