Bowl-Lift is more practical To add: Another advantage of the Bowl-Lift is that it can put a hot/ice water basin under the mixing bowl. But there is no way to put the Tilt-Head in place when combined with the machine base...

Will the tilt head version operate if it is NOT locked in position? Likewise, with the bowl lift version operate if the bowl is NOT locked in the upper position? Thank you.
On these models they will turn on if the bowl is not locked in or completely raised so you do want to make sure that if you are using one you are doing so safely. If you are looking for those kinds of safety features they are usually found on more industrial equipment. I have and have worked with larger mixers that all have some sort of safety feature that either shuts it off or will keep it from turning on. It's usually something like a sliding guard that needs to be fully in place , or the bowl needing to be fully up. Hope this helps.
Is that a ceramic bowl in the tilt pink one? I only have the stainless steel bowl that came with my mixer but am finding I could really use a second one for making whipping cream etc. And wondering which bowl would give me the most versatility.
Yes, it is ceramic. The ceramic ones are pretty and decorative, so I do like them for units that sit out in areas that can be seen. But if you are thinking of having an extra for tasks like whipped cream, I would go with stainless steel, since it will get nice and chilly in the fridge quickly and that makes it great for making whipped cream! Hope this helps and really either way you go having a second bowl is always a good thing!
I have a pink kitchen aid mixer 5 quart with a glass bowl and I wanted to know if my tilt head could fit with a stainless steel bowl or ceramic bowl too ? I really wanted to invest in them from the kitchen aid website ! Please help I just found ur page and I hope it can help me with my business thank you ❤🎉
If you look at the listings on the KitchenAid site. The products like the extra paddles/whips and bowls will have information about what models they are compatible with at the bottom of the description of the item. There are plenty of additional bowl options if you are looking for a second one for your mixer that are compatible with a 5 quart tilt head. Hope this helps!
