No, I think it fits well into mario kart 8's jazz and rock genre of music, but it does fit well with sm3dw's theme for bowser since that game also uses a lot of jazz.
Unless you mess up the shortcut at the last turn and get screwed by a boulder, and have to slowly and shamefully drive to the finish line in 8th place.
My favourite part about this track is the fact that at 0:07 the music matches what is going on on the track. The moving valves in the background sinks up well to the drums
@@silhouettoofaman2935 There's a lot of music that has groove in it, that is not necessarily called groove in its genre name but I get yer point. One of the things that kinda bugs me as I get older, genres that used to be a common thing become distorted over time and people just assume that that name applies when it doesn't.
@@DavesOSTs Yeah, I had some trouble installing it. The issue that I had was that I was using the default unzipping app on Windows. Using WinRAR worked though.
@@jamesreardon5132 Tbh, I like this one the best, with the Mario Kart: Super Circuit version being the second best; the MKWii version is fine, but a bit too dark sounding for me, and definitely not metal enough lmao EDIT: I do, however, like what they did to the MK:SC version of that song with the MKWii arrange tho, I think that's the reason why I like that one so much actually, since MKWii was actually the first Mario Kart I've played haha
Sounds like Steve Vai style music, in all honesty. I know it's not him, but the style, from the playing to the music, just sounds like something he would do.
Wait....Universal is building a Nintendo land at Epic Universe and has the biggest Hard Rock cafe in the world in Orlando at CityWalk. Bowser Weekend anyone? Can even invite Jack Black to MC the weekend.
It reminds me fighting games instantly. Guilty Gear for sure and also Iori's The king of fighters themes, not heavy metal but they include jazz instruments.
I love the fact that other bowser castle theme in MK are slow and show a lot of tension like if you had a long way to go before fighting your nemesis while this one is straight up going right to your nemesis knowing it gonna be epic
This song is not only one of if not the best arranged songs in this game by instruments alone, but the progression is so badass. The way it starts off with some guitar riffs inviting you through the gates of hell, then a metal melody with jazz undertones, right to a full on jazz segment, then to a guitar solo where at the end, THE JAZZ ECHOES THE DAMN BASSLINE IN THE BACKGROUND god I love this song.
This has to be my favorite Bowser Castle theme in the entire Mario Kart series. Never thought a Jazz/Metal combo would work, but this song proves it's possible.
It's honestly a crime we only have 1 Bowser's Castle in 8 deluxe. I mean come on, we have 4 rainbow roads and 3 Mario circuits. I hope the booster course pass will give the other recurring smk track motive some love.
I absolutely love this track and everything about it, but DUDE that E-Guitar really didn't stop a single time, even if it didn't have the melody and it is the best thing about this track
While exploring the visual setting of this track, I noticed 6 separate cannon turrets that periodically swivel and fire. Are we racing this course in the middle of some war??
High key some parts sound like thriller from the king of pop and because of how famous the song is I wonder if that was by coincidence especially since he’s supposed to have a menacing type caste
I remember a time where Bowser music was orchestral and not hard rock/metal. Last time I wrote a comment like this someone got severely and worryingly angry at me.
It has been both for a long time, like Mario 64’s bowser’s theme was clearly rock influenced, but the Galaxy games had orchestral pieces because it fit better. Bowser’s fury music is rock, but the music that plays in the boss fights is choral and orchestral with a ripping guitar line all the same and it is awesome. Odyssey has a mix of the two as well, with the final boss being orchestrated.
I love how this theme is basically a mix of world bowser from 3D world and rock music, and they somehow made it work (however, I still think 3ds bowsers castle is little bit better)
