Bruce is the man he won’t even let you buy everything you need for a bow first time in he wants you to take your time and learn your bow before buying accessories great guy and honest
First time I met Bruce I went in “need a 70# draw, $1500 budget” type of rookie stuff... he slowed me down, made sure I got the bow that worked for me instead of the sale. I’ll never shop at another spot.
I stopped into Bow N Arrow Shop because you highly recommended them in your videos and I am very glad I did! Nick and Ernest were great at helping me pick out a new arrow rest and adjusting my bow to better fit my form. It was also great meeting Bruce as well. Thanks for the recommendation and keep up the awesome content! Hope to bump into you either at the shop or at the range sometime.
I want to thank you for this video. Had you not taken the time, I wouldn’t have known about this shop. Went in yesterday and they hooked me up with a new NXT 33. They spent like 3 1/2 hours tuning it to me. Simply amazing service. I’ll never let anyone else touch my bows, and I’ll never buy a bow anywhere else. So cheers and thanks for this video! Joe
15+ years ago i would drive from AZ to See Bruce the Dude is amazing ...when i lived in lakeside i was in regularly ...just a peek in to this mans character while ELK hunting in Montana in 2005 My Bowtech Allegiance limbs had feathered i called Bruce and He called His REP ....Next day i was setting up a new Bow at a local Shop Free of Charge and i shipped the Bad bow back ..The Hunt Continued... Thanks Brother if you Read this ...hoping to see you soon Jim!
Whoever the guy in red is would have my buying a bow every year if I saw him. His demeanor is relaxing and he seems super knowledgeable about the field and it's obvious he wants to help, not just sell.
Thanks for the great rundown. I've been shooting a Bowtech General for 10 years, I picked up a Hoyt Maxxis along the way and I finally want to buy a brand new bow for myself and I was zeroing in on either the Revolt X or the Elite Kure. You gave me some good data to think about so I'm grateful you put these bows through a comparison. Thanks and well done!
I'm very impressed with the guy first off stop looking at names and find out what it is in a bow that you need to get you where you want to be and works best for you . the guy seems to be very super honest and up front with his customers, seen that in comment section. Makes me want to do my business with him on line or over the phone thumbs up man.
Excellent reviews and awesome bows. Loved the calm approach to the features of each one, not trying to preach but to teach the goals that every brand has behind the tech they fit in their products.
Great video. So glad I found that shop..drove by it while working and pulled over to check it out..Earnest helped me out that day and I was in the next day and ordered my first bow with the help of Jim and Bruce helped me get it dialed in when it came in. I'm a south paw and went with the Diamond edge for my first hunting bow.
So many great options right now, they have all found ways to step up their product. I went with Bear, but mostly because they are in Florida where I am. Great video!
Most informative video I've watched yet. I just bought a revolt yesterday. My local shop is getting it set up for me. I thought I was going to get the Mathews VXR but walked out with the Revolt. The Mathews was really nice as well but I I loved the draw cycle of the revolt, super smooth. These days I am all about comfort over speed especially since I went to the Garmin A1
I though the pse evolve cam was a twin cam. I just bought this bow. It was by far the most comfortable bow to shoot imo. And it is hitting at about 8 FPS faster than ibo. I shot the vxr, the Kure, the bow tech, and this and I loved the pse. Just super smooth
I wonder if the Kure was set to 29" draw length at the cam or measured, and if set at the cam only then did it feel long? I shot one set at 30" draw recently, and it was at least 31" and maybe more (I know exactly what a 30" draw feels like). A bow magazine tested the Kure and found that the bow measured draw length did not match the cam markings at all and that once you adjusted it to an actual measured 30" draw that the tested speeds were reduced quite a bit.
@@metro9636 Went to bow shop yesterday and shot the Revolt X. Place sells Bowtech, Elite, Hoyt, Mathews, PSE, and Prime. Owner told me "by the time you correct for the Elite Kure's draw length being too long, the Revolt X is a faster bow despite it IBOing 5 fps less than the Kure." So there's that. He said you have to put them on around 28.5 inch mod settings to hit a 30 inch draw versus the Bowtechs are pretty much dead on. I bought a Revolt over the Revolt X because I wanted the extra 0.75" brace height for bowhunting in a saddle with heavy clothes on in the winter.
@@MrShysterme Were the bows measured on a drawboard and what were the speeds. My Option 6 and Enkore are faster than my buddys bowtech SR6 and brothers VXR set at the same specs.
Great insightful unbiased post Sir. The funny thing is, I had the opportunity to test a few bows a week or so before you did this video.....AND I PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT ON THE BOWTECH. I’m really quite stoked to get my new shooter. It will officially be mine for Valentines Day. Please just don’t tell my girlfriend about it or I’ll be sleeping outside. Hahahahaha Jokes aside Sir, thanks for the great video. Cheers from Toronto.
Great review. Lots of technical information as well as speed. I'm in The market for a new bow and was set on a particular one. With your advice I think I will spend a day or 2 shooting many. Thanks guys.
The general feeling on the PSE Nxt bows seems pretty lukewarm? why is that? is it that they tried to improve the Evolve that wasn't really in need of improving in terms of the overall performance?
I was a bit surprised with that. I was always told PSE was a very aggressive draw, but wicked fast. I was expecting at least 295-305 fps at the chronograph.
Absolutely! Glad I became a subscriber, can’t wait to see more content. Good honest reviews and in depth descriptions. PS liked the PSE NXT 33 a lot also! Glad to see that in here.
I was just in San Diego yesterday to visit the beach. I'm surprised you can even own a bow in California anymore. I grew up there in the late 80s and 90s. It's a different state than it used to be. Soon, everything will be illegal.
I’d never buy another Bowtech carbon riser bow myself. They are known to warp… you’ll be replacing in 4-5 years from now as the cams start to lean so bad you’ll be afraid to shoot it. Do a search for “carbon riser warping” and you’ll see what I mean
When I can afford a new bow hopefully the guy that sets me up is still working in Hudson WI close enough to me. He set me up perfectly twice so definitely going back to him when. I save the 1500 for a new setup
