2:18 to 2:30 With the slight "WTF" look on your face.... "if you look at me...(pointing to your face for attention focus) ..."THIS" is what I look like". lmao Yeah...clearly somebody took the "idea" of the one-drop rule waaaayyyy far beyond understanding...

Dutch Braid, French Braid, Dreadlocks, 50 other names.... NO cultural appropriation , the Vikings wore them long before the Africans who were stolen and forced to come here. You wear your hair ANY way you want. (and it looks good, by the way)

I had a stripper friend who went around telling customers I was Egyptian because she thought I looked Egyptian and it sounded exotic, so she figured I’d make more money if people thought that’s what my heritage was.

That's funny and she is probably right and funny as I simply pulled Egyptian out of my ass and not for any reason other than if sounded unique and funny. Though I'm not sure if in your case it made any difference as I've said before and will say again, you are very attractive so... , but then guys are funny in that way. I will ask, do you think it made a difference? Personally I've never understood the draw of strip clubs. I mean paying money to simply watch a woman and get all worked up and do nothing. Sure I get that some will, if you pay enough, will do more. Guess it's just never been my thing. Sorry for my absence, but been for several reason. As largely been busy getting my new little homestead operational, but also find the tran topic tiresome. We all have our thoughts on it, but I'm ultimately a 2 gender person, though people have a right to live their life however they see fit, freedom of choice and all that.@@oakleavesandonions771

This will always be a charged topic, and unfortunately, race is deeply imbedded with said topic. America is a melting pot that refuses to recognize itself as such. We live in a society where eurocentric features are the norm and anything else is dirty, unkempt, and unprofessional. There are black women who will not care if you braid your hair because at the end of the day your going to do what you want. Other black women care is because more times than not there are white people who will wear these hairstyles but hate black people or say raycisis things about black people/women while simultaneously wearing and/or portraying a black woman. Now, with that being said, it seems you are already doing your research when it comes to this hair style which is cool. However, as a woman who is white presenting, I think it's best to listen to both sides so that you can fully understand why there are people who do have a problem. I get you have feelings about it however so do black women and as one myself, we deal with hair discrimination from practically everyone. I mean you said it yourself that you didn't like your curly natural hair because it was unkempt to you. That's the society we live in and that is a view of ethnic hair on a daily basis, especially at any workplace. As a white presenting person yourself, have you gone and supported the crown act in your state? Has it already passed? And if so when? If you know what that is and have an understanding of why it needed to be passed in the first place then I think it might help you out as far as having a better appreciation for the style. When it comes to hair, every ethnicity has thick and/or thin hair. It just depends on genetics as with most things. The reason box braids have not been close to your scalp is simply because you have silky textured hair. That's it. Silky hair is harder to grip so it's not going to turn out the same as a person with more textured hair. Also, the dry scalp is lack of oil since the natural oils of your hair has to adjust to the additional hair. Keeping your scalp moisturized will help. I honestly don't know how to keep this kind of hair style longer with the your texture of hair because unfortunately I haven't seen anybody that has had braids with your texture last longer than maybe a week. Again It's the texture. There is more history in America of box braids. I recommend this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hWVzi8pX2jw.htmlsi=BK3EWMUSfHTr99cM Intelexual media does a great job of going through that history if you are interested. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to care enough to do your research. I hope this will help out at least a bit. Also, you remind me of a friend of mine who is white presenting but she is latina. So that might be possible for you but that's just my guess. I hope you have a great day and blessings to you and your family and congrats on your current pregnancy 😊. May it be an easy birth and may you heal rapidly.
