Excellent documentary...,the guy narrating seemed to be very knowledgeable & a "hands on" kind of scientist. I particularly liked how they showed some detailed research methods on these deadly yet fascinating creatures. Most nature docs are too watered down in their presentation IMHO.

The Irukandji jellyfish may be even deadlier, it’s so tiny it’s almost unnoticeable and the symptoms from their venom can mimic a heart attack or stroke.

Strange I just watched a jellyfish called a irukandji jellyfish witch is very small just off of Australia and the show mentions that it is the most deadliest in the world

If the Chinese people came to believe these jellyfish were good for their health or virility or as a delicacy, Australia wouldn’t have a problem with them much longer. The people of the most populous country in the world are adept at eradicating or nearly eradicating species of animals.

I drove up to Port Douglas from Cairns when I was visiting from England. And I remember stopping in the car nd deliberating wether to take a dip or not. Sat here now feeling safe and happy I decided not to take that dip. Port Dug is where I nearly walked into a Golden Orb. Despite this I absolutely love Australia.

Growing up in Darwin I used to watch them swimming along at the wharf. I've seen them as big as shopping bags, and they move along pretty quick. Got stung once when I was a teenager down at the beer can regatta. Just a 6" piece of tentacle on the inside of my leg. Pain was crazy. They say if you survive the first 10 minutes after a proper sting then you will most likely survive. And they can leave some impressive scars. Fun fact - they used to be called Sea Wasps, the problem being that tourists would think wasp, and look in the sky for them. So they were renamed.

When I went diving off the Great Barrier Reef one November they said they hadn’t seen any Box Jellyfish so far but I still opted for a stinger suit, can’t be too careful.

See the 60 minutes documentary about the Irukandjii jellyfish in Australia. It's WAY more dangerous and deadly and in comparison makes the Box Jellyfish look like Sunfish!

I’m watching this at 3:42AM high and here I am thinking he is god. He got stung by a manta ray and is picking up deadly box fish for fun. The kid was dying on the floor from the sting and he was just there 😂.

I dont think I've ever seen a more unprofessional professional. He knows the potential DEADLY outcome and not only lets his dog sniff around in the water but cant even put a $2 pair of rubber gloves on ? That's just down right foolish and dangerous. If he wants to play with death that freely there's much less painful ways to go. I have no respect whatsoever for so called experts like this guy.
