Box Removal 1980 Chevy Scottsdale Square Body Tear down continues.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. This is the 2nd video in the 1980 Chevrolet Scottsdale Paint series. in today's video, I will be removing the doors off the square body. and I will also be removing the Box so that the truck is ready for metal work and body work in the next episode.
definitely ran into a lot of issues on the 1980s Scottsdale box and majority of the rest of the truck LOL most of the bolts had to be cut off. when you start tearing into these things for restoration something to be expected make sure you keep your Sawzall close by LOL.

Thanks I appreciate that, I've got the front half of the truck welded and patched up sprayed in primer and all ready for paint there now. Gonna be sweet when it's all finished up

Hey thanks I appreciate that. I don't know if you have seen it or not yet. But I did a budget build paint series on my brothers 1979 Silverado 10 pickup truck. I have all those Older videos posted on the channel here as well. that truck turned out Really good for being painted in my parents' single car garage

Nice to see it coming along, you have your work cut out for you. I knew the box was gonna be a challenge for you. Excited to see the progress. First vehicle was a 1982 Toyota 4x4. Bought it when I was 17 back in 1994. No power and burned a lot of oil, would love to have it back. I ended up breaking it in half. Good ole salt. Great video.

The Box will definitely be a lot of work but 100% it can be brought back, just needs some welding and patience. Saving that for last lol. I've got the front half of the truck in primer ready for paint right now. It's coming along good. Ahhhh the salt yeah when I lived in Ontario the salt really did a number on vehciles Over the winter months

Nice. Question are you going to keep the roll bar because I think you should along with the sweet seat covers or built in padded seats. Thumbs up.

Oh yeah everything that came off the truck is going to either get polished up like the step sides chrome etc and in the roll bar case it's going to get sandblasted and repainted black. Same with interior everything going back to the orginal look it had in 1980. It had a really sweet retro style stripping paint job on it that I'm going to put back as well

Great that you are back with another video, the progress you make in the timelapse is amazing. Hope you are doing well and I am looking forward to more updates - especially on the F-Bodies of course :). By the way, this might be a bit odd, but have you ever thought of EV-converting one of your projects? I had this thought that when you make a Knight Rider conversion with one of the F-Bodies that making it an EV would be very interesting - basically resembling the "future tech" KITT used to have, including the strange sounds it made when driving :).

I've got about another 3 videos for the truck on the works right now. Just have to finish up all the editing. I have been ridiculously busy with work these past few months. Haha I need to figure out a way so I can work on RU-vid projects full time. My dad's helping me right now with the truck here heading to the city this week to get paint for thr frame and start putting it back together. No that's something I haven't thought of. When the time comes for the black Firebird I thought I would probably go a 350 for thr KiTT build if I can

I've still got the 58 Impala, been tracking down the parts I need for it. I've got majority of the metal for it now, still looking for a drivers side quarter panel, and floor pans and braces that will ship to Canada. Been ridiculously hard to find places that have the 58 parts that will ship out here. Auto city classic in Minnesota has pretty much all the parts I need for the 58 but they won't ship to Canada anymore

I am a confident engine rebuilder on s crusade against "will it run videos". EVERY UNKNOWN RUST ENGINE OUGHT BE TORN DOWN AND SENT TO A MACHINE SHOP FOR MEASURING NEEDED PARTS / REPAIRS.
