We were contacted by the Trigg County Sheriff Dept. to recover this unit that had crossed the median and almost went HEAD ON into ONCOMING traffic! Luckily there were not injuries and everyone walked away! Thanks for watching!!

Holmes 750.. now thats going back some!!!.. i do believe Mr Hal over at Sumter down in So Cal still uses one to this day alongside his newer Vulcan v100's. Proof the ol gals still have life in them! Nice recovery of that box truck! Bit of a tricky one but done nice and methodically. Thanks for sharing as always!

First I wanted to say i don't tow big rigs so my question is just to know. Why didn't u keep pulling back till whole truck was on shoulder then connect to front

I learned years ago that there could be say 5 experienced operators same equipment and do a job 5 different ways. And in my mind if it’s done safely with no additional damage then they’re all good 👍

Absolutely!! Our biggest issue as to why we havent purchased them yet is we dont have 1 dedicated recovery truck so they will probably always be in the wrong truck when needed!

So the blue endless loop straps we use are rated for, 42,400lbs working load limit in a basket or 21,200lb WLL in a straight line... comparing that to 1/2in g100 chain rated for 15klbs WLL in a straight line and chain does not have a basket rating, you can technically say its rated for 30k in a basket but there is no actual basket rating due to the links always being in a bind when it wraps around something like a hook or frame rail. the only worry with straps, is getting cut, which these have aprotective cover that does a good job plus we use strap protectors when extra is needed. Not bashing, I was a chain guy for a long time but straps have proven themselves to me time and time again.

@@Zraupp10 I gotcha, I've been using straps for a few years on the UL. Towing everything from 5500s to loaded TT. They have proved themselves to me. The only one I have had fail was my fault going thru a dip entering a parking lot I hit it against the ground and exploded the ratchet. I say it often in my videos some guys use chain some use straps. I'm not a chain guy.. to each their own.. as long as it gets there safely I think it's all alright. 👍
