Thank you for teaching me basics of boxing. Today when I practice on a punching bag/double ended bag, people ask me if I was a boxer!
@expertboxing
@expertboxing 3 года назад
hahaha the best compliment ever. next week someone will ask if you train people

@@expertboxing actually some parents do ask me if I could train their children. We don't really have a boxing culture in India. So anyone throwing good punches is assumed to be a trained boxer. I came across your RU-vid videos around 3-4 years back. Followed each and every thing you taught, and today I can throw really good punches and defend myself. So thank you million times 🙏🏽

Hello, I have a problem with my posture, when I started boxing I stood left-handed, since it made me more comfortable (I have no experience in martial arts), my right hand is the strong one, and my coach told me that I have to put the right back (right-handed stance), but it took a while, I feel like I became a one-arm fighter (just using jabs and hook with my left hand) and never had a chance to connect with my right cross, it was awkward, less coordinated, and zero precision. But when I stand southpaw it feels more natural, the left crossing is faster and more precise and I feel that I can get more out of it since I can use both hands, but the problem is that it is not that strong. What I can do? Should I use a right-handed crossover with force, but without speed or precision, or a left-handed left crossover that is fast, precise but not with much force?

Do what your coach said, and don’t stand so sideways. Share a video of you on our Facebook groups so we can see exactly what you’re doing.

I was having this problem when I throw any straight punch with my elbow joint hyperextending and causing pain. People tell me that I should fully extend my arm when I thrown a jab but when I fully extend I hurt my elbow always. Do you know anyway I can help this?

@@expertboxing I'm double jointed in my elbows, this happened to my when I hyper extend my elbow when I punch. You don't have to go that crazy with it just extend to full extension

When I slip and roll punches where should my hands be?
@expertboxing
@expertboxing 3 года назад
around chin....the lower you slip, the lower they go...the problem is people don’t always bring the hands back up when their head come back up

I am having an issue with leaving my body open in my stance my elbows are in and hands are up but body is still open
@Feedback406
@Feedback406 3 года назад
Tucking your elbows is just the base stance!! but you need to actually parry the body shot by angling yourself with your legs and using your legs, waist and feet to catch the shot with your elbow don’t reach with the elbows you have to use your waist legs and feet to contort your body to block the body shot with your tucked elbows
