Whats up guys in this video I go over the pivot. The pivot is a very simple yet effective movement in boxing. It allows you to create angles and those micro movements in boxing is all you need to confuse and catch your opponent off guard!
The pivot is so quick that it is often overlooked in boxing. Not only is it a great offensive tool but is also used for defense especially if you are caught up against the ropes.
Most of the time you will need to take a step before you pivot. If you don't take a step and pivot in front of your opponent you are just setting yourself up to get hit. STEP SLIP PIVOT to create the ANGLE and then throw your PUNCHES.
