Boxing has it all: great characters, tragedy, triumph, drama. But the sport is also packed full of knuckleheads. You know them. The fighters who couldn't keep from opening their mouths, couldn't stay out of trouble and so forth.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves podcast, we focused on the recent International Boxing Hall of Fame induction weekend and recent knuckleheads, which inspired more history-based knucklehead talk.

Great stuff. Surprised that Trevor Berbick didn’t make the episode. Marvin Johnson was in Canastota in 2019, health-wise he wasn’t all there at times. Chris Smith tried getting a bunch of west coast guys to visit the IBHOF, but they never responded to his emails. Thanks for the ACBHOF shoutout. Hope to see you there Aris. 😉🥊

I went to the IBHOF in 2012 when Tommy Hearns got inducted. I couldn’t have picked a better weekend. I got to shake hands and have photos with Hagler ( my all time favourite boxing 🥊 idol) Plus Hearns, SRL, Donny Lalonde, Aaron Pryor who I got to buy a drink for in Grazianos awesome guy was Pryor. Micky Ward, Dicky Echland, John Mugabi, Marlon Starling, Kevin Kelley, Leon Spinks , Buddy Mcgirt, Terry Norris, Ray Mercer, George Chuvalo, Gerry Cooney, 🥊 No way I will get a better weekend than that. I haven’t been back since 🥊

Lmfao I remember that victor ortiz interview cus I remember laughing my ass off that he said, "I'm here to support Diabetes" or something like that as opposed to Diabetes Awareness ;-;

Talking of Cortez I got to speak to Cortez the Referee and I asked him about the fight he reffed between Azumah Nelson & Jeff Fenech in 91 and he said ‘ oh I don’t remember referring that fight “ 😳😳

Morrison did not really give me knuckleheads vibes. Taking a fight when he has the Lewis fight planned was risky and backfired, but it's not particularly dumber than many things other champions have done. The other points are just personal insults of his hairstyle, sleeping around, staying in his city and such.
