"It's not just a birthday cake" hit me so hard. These two brothers are in a house full of love, and now they have a future they can hope for, all because they found a place where they were wanted and cared for.
Weird self aggrandizing diversity adoption if you think about it. Over a million black foster kids need adoption here but the parents go out of the way to get a real African. Bizarre af.
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 Jesus buddy, I don’t think their goal was to adopt a “real African”. I have a feeling there’s probably a little more reasoning/story behind just randomly selecting two brothers from Sierra Leone ;)
More to do with the wealth of the family that adopted them than anything else, most adopted children encounter some kind of difficulty sadly. But yeah, these now-rich kids will probably have an easy life. Good for them.
yeah, there are places in the world where getting just the basic needs every day is a challenge so when they're brought in first world countries; they're easily amazed at things that most people take for granted. Being from that hardship makes you have a new level of appreciation for things . I am from a third-world country but knowing that there are people that are going through life harder than me makes me appreciate what I got and see problems are not as hard as it seems .
These guys already look financially comfortable. And they even had 4 kids. And yet they saw that and could have done nothing. But they chose to bring two kids in not separate them and give them a better life. That's not at all and easy thing to do. But they did. So props to them. Because sometimes doing nothing isn't enough
@@DerekOfRivia it doesn't pay well if it all lmao, it just gives tax breaks if you do get money its usually not a lot and SUPPOSED to be for the kid. You're think of foster homes, which still don't make much money. But if you wanna harp on the money benefits, why don't we just get rid of adoption? no, exactly, shut up
to be fair though, at least the people who have that kind of money are putting it to good use, adopting kids (especially older kids and boys and sibling sets, all very hard to place in homes.) Normally I'd be all "that is an apartment building, way too much for one family" BUT if you're gonna use the space to adopt waiting children - okay, you're cool.
The world was a better place when children learned how to read through the wisdom of scripture. Some still read a proverb a day. There are 31 chapters in the book of proverbs. Perfect to read the chapter that coordinates with the day of the month.
Teary. I myself am adopted from Mexico, but I was adopted as a baby and never knew life as an orphan. I shudder at the idea of being homeless or growing up without my family like these boys did. I am so thankful there are people out there who are willing to adopt brothers like this, especially older ones from around the world. What a beautiful story!
My 9 year old nephew had a full blown meltdown because his birthday cake had a captain america figure on top, and he wanted ironman. I need to show him this video so he can appreciated how fortunate he really is
@srji489-I get what you’re saying man, and I feel the same way, but in the end, these people gave a home to two kids who otherwise wouldn’t have had one. Bottom line is it’s a good thing
@@srji489how? why would americans only adopt american children, that’s the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard, there’s kids all around the world who need families like this beautiful one, what you said is disgusting get help.
"It's not a birthday cake...it's a blessing cake" What a beautiful sentiment from an exceptional young man. Sierra Leone has been through so much with the civil war. I hope these two kids have a wonderful life
This broke my heart. I'm so happy those young men got a home. Think of all the ones that don't. Unless humanity gets it's priorities in order, I fear for our survival.
We are here at this time in human history TO MAKE IT BETTER. WE are going through so much ugly to teach us ALL that our human flaws like GREED, SELFISHNESS, LUST FOR POWER, ABUSE OF OUR EARTH and each other MUST CHANGE if we are to go forward and make this all better. But the change starts from within. We are seeing the ugly and worst to make us fight for the decent and better World we want.
I agree. It's so nice to see the ones who are lucky but it's terrible to think that there are enough resources for everyone but not everyone will get them.
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 We're all people who need love and family. These boys are just as deserving as kids living nearby. Your comment is just sad.
@@lhp-r3923 they’re choosing self aggrandizement over helping someone here. It wastes a ton of resources to get one of the African adopted as opposed to a local orphan. Also many historians argue the loss of Africas able bodied people throughout history has helped contribute to its lack of modernization. It’s sad that people like you agree with this kind of bs, obtaining a trophy child for some fetish.
@@lhp-r3923 I find it by being outspoken against unjustifiable stuff. Lots of people are complicit smooth brains, and they don’t even see something as wrong despite it being blatant. I’ll die peacefully when it comes knowing I’ve already changed a bunch of people. ✌🏿 I have no hatred 🤣 but can’t let smooth brain actions just slide either. GL kid
Being adopted, please do. All my friends with biological parents raising them, always talk about my mom and dad, and how amazing they are. I was blessed, and as an adult, if ever given the opportunity to meet my biological parents, I would be just fine only saying thank you, and keep moving. These people with a huge house, didn’t do this for fame and clicks, they obviously don’t need the money, and that makes this right. Those kids will be soo loved.
Damn ... this got me all teary eyed. We all need to be more like these boys. We take things for granted here and forget how lucky we are just to have a roof over our heads and running water and food at the store down the road. I wish the news would do stories like these more often instead of constant stories of violence and division.
@michaelwashington4550 I am so glad that you sent me this small response. I just lost my wonderful mother this month and my dog that I had for 14 years. Little things mean a lot when you have hard times. May God bless you and all of those that you know and love. Take care and thank you !!!
"It is a blessing cake". That really resonates and is a paradigm shift for me. Especially since as I grow older, I tend to look at birthdays more as time lost. Thank you, young Abraham - for reminding me that birthdays are blessings.
@@howdeedoodee6603 well if we Google the avg cost of adopted kids from sierra leon, I’m getting the Google result of almost $20k usd. Usd to Sierra Leone’s currency is $1usd to $20,000 leoneans…. So a single adopted kid is near 400million leoneans…. That’s clearly not adding up, these kids are being sold not adopted.
This was so sweet. I legit cried when he cried at the cake. I’m so glad for both the family and the two boys found each other. I hope there is more cheer and love for all of them in the future.
This video has taught me the true meaning of birthdays. And that is to look forward to the joys that are yet to come from a new year of you being alive, no matter how major or minor those blessings may be. I think the older people get, the less they enjoy birthdays because they forget what birthdays truly mean. So remember to enjoy being alive and treasure all your blessings.
What a beautiful way to express himself. I got teary eyes watching this. I sponsored a sweet boy from Sierra Leone and it brings so much joy seeing his progress. God bless this wonderful family ❤
Seeing his reaction made tears well up in my eyes. How beautiful. Those boys truly are a reminder to love and appreciate the little things ❤️ wishing them the best life… with parents like that I don’t doubt that they will
This is so awesome. I wish these two young men nothing but happiness and success for the rest of their lives. My only hope is that they are not jaded by living in the United States and don't become by all the toxicness of our country. May they keep their loving and outgoing spirits forever.
Can I tell you that I started crying when he said "blessing cake"! What a beautiful thought and so very true! My Dad just blew out his 90th birthday candles. Truly a blessing!❤
What a wonderful couple to adopt 2 brothers so they can enjoy growing up together! Extremely admirable. So often siblings are separated during the adoption process. I feel the love this entire family has in their hearts. Thank you for sharing with them the blessings you received from God. May God continue to protect you all and increase your riches millionfold. I pray also that these 2 African brothers and your own kids will succeed in their education and in whichever career they later choose. Wishing you all a long, healthy, happy and blessed life.
OMG, this brought tears to my eyes. I felt his feelings. This goes goes to show. How blessed we are . And how unfortunate others are. The power of celebrating someone’s existence in this world with a cake. Just to let someone know , how happy everyone is . To have you in their world and life. Those two really needed their parents. God bless them all. ❤
This is the most beautiful heartwarming thing I have ever seen. This really made me shed tears! God bless this whole family and God bless these two brothers! I am so greatful and thankful to have such loving parents and to know the Holy Spirit and to know God everlasting love 🙏
Beautiful 🥲😌. We all have to be grateful for what we have. We all take so much for granted. Thank you Abraham, James, & the walker family for reminding me of that
May God bless you and your family. For giving these boys a perfect life. This is the most beautiful thing that you do is put a smile on someone's face by helping them, when they need it most. God bless you all
Geez!!! finally a great story and people still have something negative to write! Bless that family for making a POSITIVE difference in these young men's lives! God knows that they didn't have to do anything to help those young men but they did. now with that being said all of those negative comments let's see how Karma works!
@RealMenloveblueberrywaffles Yes! I totally agree with you 100% You would think that after surviving the COVID situation people would be more grateful to hear some positive news, but I guess not. Have a great day and stay safe!
This is a heaven sent story. That’s found in the midst of a racist city. Look! It has to be pointed out, so no one will be victimized by this story. I’m so thankful to see love, outside the people that look like you, and or just your family. We need to spread love wide, spread it far, and spread it often, so it will return to us, from all directions. You see! Life’s like a bank. “Whatever you deposit, is what you will withdraw. If you deposit love, you will withdraw love ❤️ If you deposit hate, you will withdraw hate. 👺In other words, you will reap what you sow. No matter what color you are. Listen! You can have a billion plus on your side. If you don’t have God, on your side, you’re out numbered. Also! man can stop man, but no amount of men, can stop God. He will do, all that He said, whether you believe in Him or not. Again I say, very beautiful story. It really touch you, to see the two young men so please, grateful, and thankful, that there’s love, outside where you expected it. I love to hear him say, “mom and dad. I pray that no one will ever get angry enough to call them out of their names. If you talk to them first, it won’t be a shock to them. Your love will make those hurtful words roll off of them like water on a ducks back. 🥲May God continue to give this family all that they need, to hold this family together, and continue to spread love . ❤️💕
God bless this family!!!!! I am sending them positive energy & pray they will be happy & continue to be a blessing to one another!!!! Everyone deserves this kind of genuine joy in their life!!!!🙏🏽💕
Massive tears over here😭! To hear him say it was a blessing cake, killed me. To the parents, thank you! You opened your hearts and home to these brothers. Continue blessing for all of you?
'That's not just a birthday cake. That's a blessing cake!' Such powerful words from a 12 year old that has already experienced more pain, fear and suffering than most 50 year old people. And when he ran to hug his Dad and then his Mom! Tears flowed throughout the video.
@@nousernamefound.7 no he doesn’t. He does look older than 12 but not 17, his voice hasn’t even completely changed yet. Also keep in mind the kid may come across as older to you because he grew up in difficult circumstances and had to probably be more mature than your average kid.
This was the most precious video I have ever seen. Those boys are in awe of absolutely everything. And how lovely it is to see things being taken for granted through these boys eyes. God bless you all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
