hauskonzerte.com/ Valeska Steiner und Sonja Glass mit einer wunderbaren Vorstellung ihres Songs "Drive Darling". Gedreht im Kiki Genusslokal in München.
I cannot tell you how much I love this song. I think of my wife and the many, many trips to Cleveland for cancer treatment and how, despite it all, she made the trips so thoroughly enjoyable.
Valeska Steiner is my late husband Claude Steiner's needs. What an amazing songwriter. Even if I had never known her I would love those songs. Boy is a great band. I'm so sad that I lost my copy from their first album when I crashed my car but thank God it's all right here on RU-vid! Like, subscribed, and shared. And here's my comment.
You close the door and start the motor I roll the window down I raise my hand and wave goodbye To neighborhood queens and clowns and Children in the front yards They hide and seek and laugh I can almost hear you thinking How could these days go by so fast And no rear view could picture What we leave behind Drive darling, drive darling, Drive darling, drive darling, drive A silent conversation No words cause there's no need We let the tapes mix up the years And press repeat and press repeat The trunk is filled with records And books and tears and clothes I'm smiling on the surface I'm scared as hell below And no rear view could picture What we leave behind Drive darling, drive darling, Drive darling, drive darling, drive Good morning freedom Good night lullabies Drive darling, drive darling, Drive darling, drive darling, drive And when we arrive The hardest of goodbyes You will dry my eyes Somehow you're always by my side The one who holds my kite And watches over all my flights Once, once that we arrive The hardest of goodbyes You will dry my eyes Somehow you're always by my side The one who holds my kite And watches over all my flights And no rear view could picture What we leave behind Drive darling, drive darling, Drive darling, drive darling, drive
ich find das so süß wie die sich immer anlächeln :) und die beiden haben dazu auch noch ein wunderschönes lächeln !! UND ihre musik ist auch noch total schön.. was will man mehr !? :)
Great song because it has distinctive but complementary verse and chorus, plus a two part bridge that takes the song to another place. The pace of the song also shifts to create mood. Effective and heartfelt lyrics top it all off. Excellent songwriting! Any band is lucky to have one of these in their whole career.
I wish Sonja would sing more often. :) It sounds like she has a beautiful voice, too. I hear her background sing in a few of these acoustic performances and it sounds lovely.
Such a sad thing that's this song isn't more known around this world... How can it be possible ? A lonely guitar, a beautiful voice ! So simple, and I'm more moved by it than if I listened some super sophisticated song. Wonderful...
I love this song so much. I remember that I was listening to it when I moved to a big city to study and was scared and had panic attacks during the night. So I used to calm myself down with music and BOY was one of the bands I used to listen. It's funny that I came across this song by accident then and it matched my life perfectly.
ihre Stimmer ist so schön samt und trotzdem bestimmt . Eine tolle Künstlerin. ich liebe sie

Don't reduce them to their beauty - they obviously are more than that: artists. Good ones as I think. Looking forward to seeing them more often in tv or anywhere else.
I may a new fan of them but in the US there was very little distribution. I bought the acoustic version of your stuff and loved it, Can not wait tip see you live in Europe.
