This week's project is just a quick clean up of a boy's axe. I gave this one to my buddy Petey while we were at Jacktown. I filmed it before we went and it just didn't get put into the play list.. I am working on a few more projects but the heat and my job is limiting my shop time. I hope you enjoy the video. As always thank you for watching.

Good morning George. I have a couple axe heads in Florida that I will be bringing up to Pennsylvania that you can check out, maybe at Jacktown in July. The heat here in Florida has been no worse than what you have been getting up thrre lately. Water is your friend...

Hello Patrick, thank you. My friend also enjoys restoring tools. I left it so he could do it how he would like. I gave it to him while we were all together at Jacktown. He had to drive with it home so i didn't dress it.

Looks good Super George. I have a couple of my dads old axes to restore, a Collins and another with a manufacturer stamp i can't read. They are both really old and they will be retired wall hangers when i get them finished. Be safe while you're out of town brother

I was just admiring your shop. It looks very clean and organized, thats my goal to obtain. I bought a set of scrapers the other day and I used them recently, they are pretty cool. I like the handle real well it looked really good, it cleaned up good. Good video George have a good one.

I cant speak to Razorback axes, but at work we went to their shovels and now we buy them every 2 1/2 years. Before we were buying them every 6 months. ( Still looking for the shovel trees to start growing because Im sure some got buried) Have a great week!!

Thanks Patrick! Speaking of buried I lost my Milwaukee knife in a hole the other day. I think it fell out of my pocket when I was climbing out. Now I wish I didn't do such a good repair. It may never be dug up. Take it easy Brother.

Dark-handled axes are not that common. Usually they are light colored. The effect on your axe is cool. You are a generous guy to give something nice like this axe to a buddy. Dunlap anvil on the bench in the background is very cool.

Thanks Pat! I thought my buddy would like it like that and he's a bit more into axes than I am. I picked the anvil up at a junk shop a few years ago. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it.

Hi from Australia I was horrified when the stain went on as I thought it would come out too dark, but it actually came out quite nice 👍 well done Curious ,are you going to rub boiled linseed oil into the handle ? just a thought great tidy up on the axe cheers greg

Hi Greg, Thank you! I rarely use boiled linseed oil. I can't stand the smell of it! I was working with that oil the other day and oh it was soo bad. I'm a plumber and would rather smell my job. LOL. I gave it to my buddy so he might oil it.
