Boy Terrified After School Bus Driver Left Him at Wrong Stop 

Exactly it will make your heart drop out, and then to find out it was because some idiot decided to be especially dumb, it makes you want to kill.

My bus driver is sometimes 45 min late and its an hour long drive so sometimes we're 20 mins late to school

Imagine the School bus stops, every child gets off but yours 😱

This is why I believe kids should have phones when riding buses..

This is a lesson for us parents to put our adresses on something that our kid bring everyday and teach them about it, Or even teach them to memorize it if they're old enough to understand what adress is.

Me too in kindergarten.. I was walking home from the bus stop when a neighborhood dog was off his leash and wouldn't let me pass by. I was stuck hiding behind the corner of a fence for hours crying my eyes out until a lovely lady driving by noticed and offered me a ride. It was my first year in America didn't know a word of english but knew not to get into strangers car, did anyway cause I was so scared..😭,, I was staying with my aunt & uncle at the time and the next day my aunt walked me over to the dog owners home and explained what had happened and they were very friendly and apologetic.. till this day I am grateful to the stranger and my aunt.

True but I would try to raise my kid to not be afraid to call me when they need something. I rather my little kid "worry" me then trusting some random stranger. This kid smart though for knowing his friend house and not just any house.

It wasn't the middle of nowhere. Right at the end she mentioned the drop off was an approved address for the family. He knew where he was it just wasn't his house. I think there is more to this story and I'd like to hear the bus driver's side.

Idk about you, but it was risky in my neighborhood to walk a couple blocks from my house by myself because of kidnappers.

I have had a worse one than him I was in kg 1 bus driver leaves me in the middle of a road far from home I started to panic than some random guy came and asked what happened and luckily just some days ago my dad thought me his phone number so I called him with his phone and I was bought back home

I think because that’s the address that the boy had on record, it says at the end

The driver wasn’t in the wrong. He went by what was given him as the route so he can’t be charged. The address they had on file suggested that was his stop. But he still should’ve listened to the child because he knows his stop.

@@Niecy20111 he shouldn't have listened to the kid, since that would have made him liable, there's a reason there's a registry of addresses for each student. If kids could just ask where they want to be dropped off, then they can use the public bus where they're free to do that.

Exactly, I remember when our son was in the hospital. He was more concerned about his mom worrying about him.

I mean my moms a bus driver and parked the school bus at our house. I'd end up falling asleep on the bus a lot. And one day my mom left me on to nap lol. When I woke up I was confused and when I got to the front I just started balling lmao.(thinking I was locked in) eventually after my mom hears me screaming she comes out and just shows me the handle to open the door😂 I was a smart kid that's for sure. And idk why I remember this lol. Must've been traumatic because I was 5 then😂

I faced the same when i was like 7 years old! My mom always told me to run for the house which has more than 1 car and sign of toys outside even small bycycle coz thats high chance of family with kids and will totally understand and help

Happened to me before. Me and two others tried to chase down the bus but they ignored us. We were lucky that it we had walked in that area before and knew had to get home. We took another kid who also got dropped at the wrong stop and waited till our parents came home to take him to the school

The defence from the substitute bus driver was that this was the address they had on file for Quincy. However, if the young man is adamant this is the wrong address, then call the school, just don't dump him and consider it a job well done. School Bus Drivers - mandatory background check. !!! This happened to me I was terrified for my life.

@@AprilG SAME, but not like this. it was 9 years ago, that is, when I was 9 y/0, I was left alone in the school 'cause the bus left. They didn't even check on students. It's not completely their fault ik. It happened so when I was searching for my elder sister, as we always go back to home together- But that day IDK why she left alone, and I was searching for her madly. Then I ran to our office room to inform about her, infront of this office is where our School buses used to be parked and to my surprise, my bus left. That terrified moment is unexplainable- I cried my lungs out that some staffs came running towards me and helped me out. They tried to distract and talked to me, made sure I was okay and sat near me. They even gave me biscuits, so that I don't cry lol- It was even harder 'cause I neither knew my parents phone number nor the address, so it was harder for the staffs to contact- I can also understand my parent's situation! After about half an hour my parent's came to School while they were checking for me all around. I still remember that relief faces of my parents. It was quite unbearable to see my mom crying and so I cried. My dad hugged me. The staffs were also happy. They told me and my parents that a kid should always know their necessary information like phone numbers, address and all. From that day onwards, I never forgot my dear or near one's phone numbers!! (P.S. My sister was @ home)

It would be horrible but that’s the location the driver had on file, suppose he should have took him back to school.

I work with school aged children and this is absolutely unacceptable like my blood is boiling! you call the school to verify, you don’t just dump the kid on the street like that. this could have ended horribly, thank god it didn’t.

My father in law Refused to drive me and my 5 year old the nearly 2 mile each way when she started school and told me she was old enough to walk by herself. He sat there the entire year watching as my child cried once it got cold. Mind you he had no job nowhere else he needed to be, and we offered him gas money, he simply didn't give a damn. I'll never forget that, and this reminds me of and brings the anger back like it was yesterday Edit, I walked her of course and walked to get her everyday. Sorry I didn't make that clear. However it's a hell of a walk for a child that young when simply a full school day wears them out at that age.
