I am familiar with pipers Clarks as I bought one a weekend with I was going for a beach house weekend and realized that I had forgotten to bring slippers. There is a roti shop in San Fernando that has piper roti on their menu board. I wanted to try the roti as there is now an explosion of these cheaper roti around Trinidad. At age 90 my father has gotten a little fussy.

I suppose I really can't fault Papa for being extra careful at his age. 😄 God bless him. Keep loving him up. Old folks are more than gold. 💖 💖💖

I guess you are referring to the part about the roti. That was the plan but we changed mid stream as explained in the video. But there will be a $10 roti video.

Yes they do have salt. Although I buy them I space out my consumption, maybe once every two or three weeks. Sometimes I only boil the noodles and do not use the seasoning pack instead making my own seasoning.

I have nothing against the roti. I was just explaining why I did not go for it. In fact last Saturday evening I went thru Marbella and double checked where it is located so that when I am ready to make the video I can find it.

Dog is a highly prized delicacy and so there is no way that it would be sold cheaply in a supermarket.

May be in china. In many countries like the uk it’s banned. food especially meat even from European countries don’t get a pass to sell their products. They found illegal monkey meat being imported from Africa in england a few years back being sold at market places under counter, some were also legit businesses. Am very careful when buying food.

@jasvq7 Some places and also people do not want certain types of meat sold more because of an emotional attachment rather than health reasons. Dog meat is an example of this. As you mentioned eating monkey meat is frowned upon but in Trinidad monkey is eaten during the hunting season. Many people shun eating rabbit and it is because rabbit is associated with Bugs Bunny. However rabbit is widely sold around the world in supermarkets. The important thing is really how the animal was raised, slaughtered and then the meat stored. From what I have learned dogs for food do not run around in the yard but are raised in cages just like how they raise chickens. Actually chickens run around an enclosed pen while the dogs do not touch the ground. It is my understanding that the UK banned horse meat last year but in France and Eastern Europe horse is commonly eaten.

@@pointboy12 Never knew Trinidad eats monkey meat. Not a 100% if horse meat is banned in the uk, it was missed advertised as ground beef to the consumer which caused a big problem. Things like rabbit is big in Europe especially southern parts.
