If my manager called and told me we need to talk, I'd call her without hesitation. She's an amazing person and she actually cares about her employees and if something is up, she talks it through rather than immediately placing the blame. I trust her to hear me out and make a decision from there.
You’re very fortunate. Not everyone is so lucky to have a boss like that 😞 Don’t take advantage of that, just saying this in general, not towards you specifically.
My immediate senior is very very nice and sweet. She is my mother's age around 50s and i am her son's age around 26-27.. She brings food sometimes for me.. So I'll definitely call.. But.. My uber senior ( senior's senior) is very brutal and degrading kinda person. So, leave on read.
I've actually had a friend call me with her cat's death. She was crying that she wouldn't be able to get the body back from the vet because she couldn't afford something. I asked her what vet she brought him to, and once we got off the phone I called that vet and payed for her to get him cremated. She went back to the vet next day and was surprised that I had done that for her.
I ignore most of the calls from my job. I usually listen to the voice message to see what they want. Since I work as a cashier at a grocery store and am a student in college, I really treasure my days off. So most of the time don't work on days that I'm not scheduled. I'm trying to live my homebody lifestyle. Working as a cashier drains too much of my energy. By the time I get home, I'm tired.
Yeah I'll be like "yeah I'm free, what do u need me to do?" Following with; "will I get paid bonus?" (This is either for my Stage design job or my nana needing help with her small business.)
Boss: We need to talk Me: I'll see you at work tomorrow Boss: Are you free this weekend? Me: [reads text on lock screen preview. Never reads the text in messages so it stays unread]
10:25 6am got a text message from one of my best friends.... 30 minutes later I am on my way to pick him up from a small village somewhere in the Netherlands and need to drive there for 2h from Germany. Never asked what went wrong, he only told me that a online date went not that well. He paid for the gas and got me a breakfast from a rest stop. 😁
Ex Partner texting we need to talk (assuming a woman is the ex and you are the man) probably means you have a kid. Other way around is probably something like, "You should get tested"
I don't understand the mentality of an ex is an ex. Like come on. At some point you were close enough to have a relationship. Unless there is cheating involved why hate your ex?
people don't want to live in the past. these were past relationships that most likely left a big imprint on a person's heart. if your ex is gone, it's over. he/she shouldn't be in your life anymore
@@xanneig being friends with your ex doesn’t have to be living in the past, in the same way as being friends with a childhood friend doesn’t indicate you’re back at 10yr old when y’all hang out! i think that if the relationship was toxic or if one part is still in love/still wants to be together, then you shouldn’t be friends. but if you had a good friendship while in ur relationship and have no intent of getting back together in the future it can be very rewarding to be friends with your ex!
My best friend is definitely the type that will wait till you give them more information before telling you if they are free or not. Even if they are. Granted he's kind of a big homebody so you tend to need to make him do plans at all.
"An ex is an ex for a reason" I don't completely agree with this outlook. People break up for all sorts of reasons so it's still entirely possible that you could be friends and still care about an ex
The lady who keeps saying she'd call them, and talking about anxiety is a superhero lol. I would neeeeever call as response to a text unless it's the can you call text 😂
If an ex texts you we need to talk, you should do your best to make the effort to talk to them. With that being said if it’s not a “I’m pregnant”, or “I tested positive for something” then that will be a short talk. 5:35
This was really fun to watch and so funny too. Love seeing the different generations take on different things. This was a great subject as well, comparing guys’ responses and girls’ responses. You should do more Generations React episodes. Like one on the new game show Generation Gap
Hehehe these are interesting hehehe!! Crush: *"r u free this weekend?" "I'm expensive"* and Ed's reaction just hahahaha!! Just the response of wyd? From the significant other I would be like sending something funny
not enough fire starters in this one. my responses were phrased to start a fight. " I'm with my people what's good?" " borrow money? I look like I got money? "
Just realized how cruel I actually am, all these people would respond to their friends and parents and stuff and then there's me who never even answers my texts lmao
For me, using k is more annoyance than anger. Like if the SO asks me to take out the trash or do the dishes I'll send k back. Cause imma do it, I'm just not happy about it. XD
I use K as an affirmative response to a question because it is only 1 letter and my phone works by charging for each text message and each text message is 159 characters long. I can say more with short forms and therefore get more texts out for my money. However, it works for incoming, too, but my friends have phones paid for by their children and can do whatever they want on them and I get to pay extra for their long, properly spelled texts. So some of us is poor and not using either of the 2 major phone networks.
I totally got a Facebook message a few days ago from an old friend asking for money. I figured they just meant to send it to someone else so I didn't respond 🤷♀️
Huhhhhhh????? K means "I'm mad at you" !?!?! Like the elders, I thought it was the shortened letter for 'okay' to type quicker and not waste time. I guess I have to be more careful now ;-;
It does mean “okay.” But usually whenever people use it, it’s used as a way to show annoyance/anger/frustration. Not always, but in most cases (especially amongst young people).
6:33 Wow... Well that's a shitty response... Regardless of what you think of the person/animal/thing, it's never okay to say that about something that a _friend_ loves.
I hate some of their responses. I wouldnt want to have a friend that would respond that way if that were to happen. Especially since my cat is my baby :(
(From a man's perspective) As a friend, you should probably know how the person is going to respond to something you are emotional about. My first thought was, "bury it". I think men would give more of a solution to the event, women would give more of a solution to the emotions. Also, the response would probably be different if it was a same gender conversation or an opposite gender conversation.
@@CrazedPop I think most people know to either bury or cremate the animal… common sense. It’s not really a logical way to console someone you’d normally care about (in this case a friend). If some men agree, I think maybe they should think before they speak if that’s the way you handle situations that are similar to this. It shouldn’t come down to gender when it comes to having common sense.
@@Loncyrus Yeah exactly! Everyone knows that a beloved pet should be cremated or buried, so obviously the person would be sending that message to seek comfort, not ask for a solution.
In the similarities portion... nobody mentioned that through all the generations every guy was like DTF when propositioned, even in the middle of the night... none of the girls were LOL
I don't like calling very much, so I would text back or ignore. But I only ignore when I don't have time for subjects that could turn into a long conversation.
I guess I'm like the elder people, I've never heard about k meaning you're mad at someone and no one who I text with uses k like that. How did the letter k, what you mean and my friends use to abbreviate okay, suddenly became the letter that stands for I'm mad at you. Just tell people you're mad at them, it's far less confusing and it will resolve things quicker.
I would be worried about how my phone has a text from "Today 2:40 PM" if it is only 10:04 AM as shown in the top of the phone... I would be like "Hold up. Wait a minute. Something ain't right!" :o
Love Jaklya LOVE LOVE LOVE Ed (his answers totally same!) Always always Jair cracks me up! Liking that they had diff age groups responding - interesting! IZZY Gal You rock!
EX-PARTNER: we need to talk is very different for men and women.. assuming its not an infection call (get tested), women tend to know when a baby is born.. for men it might mean that your ex-gf is now your baby mama..
