so I just wanted to share something I got sexually assaulted, not harrassed by a middle aged man( a worker at my school) when I was 9 . I felt uncomfortable but I had no idea what that was and I didn't even realise I was assaulted until 8 th grade. I thought it didn't affect me but it really did, I can't go out alone even in broad daylight cause if a man with such a kind face can do it anyone can.

The girls choose to remain quiet because society doesn't support them. Mindsets are uplifting about how a woman shouldn't be ashamed if she is harrased because it's not her fault. Girls, if you ever go through something, reach out, shame those men in public and don't be afraid. Reach out for help as much as possible, there are NGOs that run for supporting women like these, to provide them shelter. This is my ultimate motivation to become rich and powerful so that I can support women that have been harassed. They don't deserve to live in fear and should not.

I went through this twice in my life., and the bad thing is the person who did that was my cousin, it has been 14 yrs now but I still hate him he has his own life now but due to that incident my life has never been the same., I can't trust any men I feel like the same thing would happen again...

I've been harassed 2 times this one time I was all dressed up and I was walking to my friends house and this car pulled up beside me and it was a grown man he kept on asking for my number and age I told him I was 15 but he still kept on following me I felt very uncomfortable so I just started running this was a scary experience for me he wouldn't stop following even after I told him my legal age. I told my grandma what happened and she told me maybe you shouldn't have worn that dress.

When you walk on an empty street with a girl walking in front of you, you have to choose either to slow down to get away from her or to cross her, because continuing behind a girl in such a situation makes her afraid. This is how we learned morals in our family.

At 22 I have a lot of hope for the next generation. They're being brought up with more care towards each other. I can't remember that my parents ever explained to my brothers how they should behave towards women, but i was told i couldn't go out with friends after dark because 'I was a girl' and they didnt explain the actual reasons behind it. Now when I'm talking to a 12 year old boy (at my job) I can explain any misconceptions he might have and tell him to look out for the girls around him and he'll listen attentively and ask questions. Imagine the kids who are now being born. Not only does it feel horrible to always have to be alert and scared, it also takes away a certain freedom. As a woman you won't do certain things for your safety men don't even have to think about. I truly hope that someday we'll be so many generations further that this whole mindset in society will be changed. Although I think I won't be alive to see it

my friend once called me and i was in a situation where i couldnt pick it up but before she called once again , i got a bad feeling and i called her . she sai that she was being followed and she said she can fight them but shes scared . i asked her not to do anything silly or try to fight them cuz they ( who followed her ) were 3 men and shes just 1 . its risky . i asked her to keep me on the line and asked her to go to a crowded place and not home . she did and i asked her if someone she knows was there . she said no . after a while , she was wandering non stop till they left . after she got to her home , i warned her to get anything like pepper spary or smthg .its danger out there so be alert , especially my girls and women
