It's very emotional to see all four members together even though the difficulties in the group. They got together to be HONORED they all deserve it all.
Nate is a born leader by nature you can really see haw matured he is I have watched him in most interviews he is a leader . Boys 2men for life all the from Durban.
Mike deserves the walk like everyone else in the group!!! Their history cannot be written without him. He completed the style and new sound Boyz2Men brought to contemporary R&B back then which set the pace for other artists. It only hurts the rest of the 3dudes that Mike resists to make a come back yet they respect that.heir best years were undoubtably those with Mike and they sold the most records then.Bless you guys! Wow...some of y'all in the comment section really are trippin'. A group is nothing without a bass singer, especially in 4-part harmony. I've seen Boyz II Men live both before and after Mike's departure and you can clearly here the difference. Not saying they were still weren't excellent as Wanya, Shawn, and Nate are all obviously great singers, but Mike completed that 4-part harmony which is the job of a bass singer. From the Melvin Franklin in the Temptations, to Michael McCary in Boyz II Men.
I just watched an interview before this where they told Larry King they basically didn't need Mike. They said Nate would lay down the vcals for him, and Mike would just go back in and mimick them. His role was only necessary bc while Nate was capable of singing either baritone or bass, he obviously couldn't do both. According to them, Mike was more or less a filler that they only "needed" for live performances. When he decided to quit it obviously pissed them off, but it didn't change what they were capable of, only what the fans were use to seeing. I personally think they fell off bc the visual dynamic was no longer appealing to their fans. We were introduced to (and fell in love with) a quartet. We are much less impressed by a trio.

I can't blame Shawn for being so emotional. To think that they went from being Students at a Performing Arts High School to Legendary Superstars is quite overwhelming. They are still alive, had no drama, they kept it real and in The UK they are Heroes. In fact whenever a Group auditions for a Show like The X Factor or Britain's Got Talent, they almost always sing a Boyz To Men Song. They are so influential that in 2002 on Popstars The Rivals the Kids sang One Sweet Day during The Bootcamp/Workshop.
Also very well-deserved award. They certainly EARNED this! They have always been the epitome of CLASS and true gentlemen who are so talented. AWE-SOME! Congratulations to them. They have given us some of the best music of our time.

I just watched Dallas Austin( Producer on their first album "CooleyHighHarmony") yesterday on Vlad Tv on RU-vid and he said Boys II Men are assholes that`s why he didn`t want to produce their 2nd album II. Sad that he didn`t produce their 2nd album, cause Dallas Austin is a dope producer.
It started with the man that only introduced three members on stage. Mike came on stage with them then he acknowledged him. I have respect for Jimmy and Terry Lewis for correcting it.
Definitely a great group but I prefer them when they were four members and wish Mike would come back to the group. You can see tho in this interview that there’s awkwardness between them and Mike which is such a shame.
in their other interviews they've expressed how mike only wanted to be apart of the group when things were going well. They even said they had not seen mike for like 8 months or something before the star unveiling. musicianship looks great when the times are good and audiences (all of us) sometimes can't see past the lost member, but I can only imagine how it felt to carry his weight for 10+ years. also, if you're a bass singer, you know what your role is. it's an important role, but if you want to be a front man maybe you shouldn't sing bass.

When the other three made it through the grit and grind, singing in places with 500 capacity seating with 50 people present and a woman riding a mechanical bull, Mike was not there. It is only after they were successful AGAIN that Mike appeared hoping to go to Japan and split the proceeds four ways. You do the math!
I wonder if Shawn and Juanye were crying because if Mikes presents and they know what really happened between them and Mike as to Mike not singing in the group any more.All i have to say is everyone watch Iyana Vanzant Fix My Life this season on OWN and you will see his side of the story as to what happened.I notice in a Larry King interview as usual they seem to dance around the truth,but i do understand the dancing around speaking on Mike's health because of privacy or not fully knowing his situation, but the rest is bull to me.After watching Iyana concerning Mike i hope in the end they can work things out and not end up like the Temptations.I do love my black so i pray they work this out and as the a Spike Lee movie is stated Do the right thing,much love Boyz ll MEN.
My thoughts exactly Cynthia. I saw the Iyanla Fix My Life with Mike on it as well. And I just saw that Larry King interview you're referring to as well before watching this. And as much as I love them I felt that interview was BS too. It came across as if he wasn't important to the group. And that he just left on his own due to lack of interest which is not true at all. But I'm glad to see he was included with them for the receiving of their star and given an equal opportunity with them to speak during the ceremony. And I like that he told them he loves them at the end of his Thank you's on here. 💗
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with you on that I'm happy to see all four members together to be HONORED on the Hollywood walk of fame. Mike health issues was the reason he couldn't perform they had no reason to down him like they did. But through it all I hope they can reunite back together AGAIN it's not to late, I'll keep them all in my PRAYERS 🙏

Mike will never be replaced Nathan said on Larry King show they thought about it for a while. Then they asked the fans and they didnt want to warm up to a new person and I can respect that. We as fans have every right we're buying there albums.

Nate said on a breakfast club interview he wasn't showing up for jobs and when they tried to bring him back for the 20th anniversary, he wanted the same money they were making while he was there and they said no. I see him doing shows now with another group singing Boyz II Men covers. Boyz II Men still got love for him and there's always a spot open, but he gotta come correct.

Clearly Mike no longer belongs with these gentlemen. Back in the day he did and that star is a much his as it is theirs. Mike was the ONLY one who turned to them to look each of them in the face and said publicly that he loved them and did so by acknowledging each of with I Love You Man by their individual names as he turned to look at them while saying it. If that's not the epitome of being a real man I don't know what is. Be gone with nonsense about Michael please. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
I don't have a problem with Mike being there, I have a problem with his behavior. Mike WAS a part of the reason Boyz II Men got famous, and that is ultimately what eventually led (with the continued hard work of the other 3) to them getting that star. But Mike should have understood that this was really the other 3's big moment because he is no longer a part of the group, and if they hadn't of busted their asses for appr. 10 years without him, they would not be getting this star. Mike should have been SERIOUS, dressed WELL and had a SHORT respectful speech thanking (whoever) for the star, and thanking the other 3 for continuing the legacy of the group without him. Thats it. His speech should have been all of 3 sentences. That's it. This was Nate, Shawn, and Wanya's moment, NOT Mike's. They are the current members of Boyz II Men. He is not.
This is Mike's big moment as well he worked as hard as the rest of the fellas. The albums that's out now didnt really hit the charts as the ones Mike was on with them.
