@@thejoatmoo If you place the cover on so the seam is in line with the latch it won't. This is just because of how the cord wraps around, so my latch is facing near 12 o'clock and I was trying to make it aesthetic by putting the seam at 6, and it was hitting the latch because the cord went straight over the latch. Once I switched it up there is no real pressure on the latch because the cord completely misses it, there's about a 1.25 inch gap between the cord running around the bottom of the can to the next portion of cord running above that. Slightly kicks off my ocd cause of the seam not being where I want it, but no big deal. The only real bummer, which is also a positive in it's own way, is that it takes a bit to take on and off if you want to put the can on another firearm, but the cover is extremely secure. For reference, I'm running the mini, but the locking mech is the same size as the regular RC2. Hope this helps.
why does it have to be 1/4" from the muzzle? Some one else posted a video of it being slightly passed the muzzle. that looks like it would make more sense as not to burn the cover.
It truly depends on the can and use case but usually the ends aren’t getting as hot as the middle of the can, so leaving the edges exposed allows the cover to cinch on to the edges better to reduce the chance of the wrap rotating.
Great video. I discovered their product doesn't work on the AAC 556SD because it covers the release lever at the back. Product is well built, but despite mfr's specific recommendation on product, it won't work (unless you install the cover after it's on the weapon/remove the cover to remove the suppressor).
Yes, it’ll work with the AAC 556SD but it’s not ideal. You will have to cover the latch a bit. So I understand the original commenters frustration. I also run this exact setup. It’s GTG but not the best fit compared to other others cans.
They tried making my buy the custom cover but I opted out and they weren’t too happy, but I like how it fits going the non custom route. I will be buying another
I am trying to use this on Sandman S. length of suppressor is 6.8 inch which length cover should I buy?? is key-mo gotta be covered? and does it still function fine after covered? (take off / put on)
Usually 6.5” for SiCo omega but if you’re using the anchor brake, definitely leave it exposed. Covering the ASR mount for this specific setup is recommended. Have you checked the size chart on our website?
