Brad Lidge needed redemption from that home run he gave up when he pitched for the Astros in the NLCS against the St Louis Cardinals in 2005 when Albert Pujols took him way deep at Minute Maid Park and I was happy when he finally got it in 2008 when he won the World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies,Lord Colton Of Gallifrey
I remember he came into the Mother’s Day game against the Braves in 2010, I was with my dad and I was only 8 or 9, and he was like oh god here comes lidge, it was right after he came back from the injury. He wasn’t great, but he got the Braves 1-2-3 I believe (there were some well struck balls, I know from rewatching the game on RU-vid). I think that may have been the only time I saw him pitch in person.
I really wish I could but there’s not footage available from the 08 regular season, I have all the postseason games recorded but literally all the regular season footage there is can be found in my 08 highlights vid
@@NothingifnotInconsistent oh well this is still amazing. I cant believe the MLB channel doesnt have something, probably because comcast broadcasts most of the games and they suck.
@@NothingifnotInconsistent there’s one I’ve been trying to find from that 08 regular season Phil’s on the road at Atlanta. Lidge 1 out from the save, tying run in scoring position Base hit up the middle to center, victorino positions and times a throw home (I think to coste) PERFECTLY to throw out the runner and end the game, and thus kept the 48/48 alive
@@jbdixon4020 sadly MLB took the full highlight off youtube a few years ago, but... I actually have a version with no commentary saved and I used it as the opening for this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_wsKdmbzO1k.html
