Nope, they couldn’t fit an audience in the studio because of the pool taking up so much space so it’s all canned laughter/applause - at least no one had to sit there and pretend to be impressed/amused by this lunacy
The tilted camera angles and weird staircases are a bit much. I feel like I'm watching them walk through an M C Escher painting. The fact that none of them fell on their faces while moving around this set was quite an accomplishment.
This is the best thing on television in the history of television. OMG...so good. It's better than what's on TV today.....yeah!! that is some of the comments I see people saying about this fiasco called the Brady Bunch Variety Hour.
There was no live audience either. I'm going to bet the band was probably recorded off site somewhere else and played back as well. Same with the announcer.
Perhaps all of the cast should have had a fake actor portraying them as it's essentially a fake show.. Made to look like it's played before a live audience with a live band and a live announcer. None of which existed.
There is talent here. Yes it's true. But remember, the talent is being projected through the Sid and Marty lens. oh, btw, Florence has a bitchin' bod. I could never get past that haircut she had in the TV show. This is an improvement.
I'm so happy I saw this video clip. I wish the Brady Bunch would continue on TV w/ original members. Didn't they look so lovely? What a great number and dig those groovy threads! I'm still holding out for another reunion and more episodes,at least they can do the same ones. Perhaps Donny and Marie will make an appearance and Davy Jones will sing and they can do another Snow White and the 7 Bradys. I hope Jan wears her glasses and Greg stays away from that bad hair tonic. What about Mom's vase?
This travesty of a "tribute" was just crying out for James Cagney to rush in with his tommy gun, and blast them all to smitherines, all the while doing that move where he runs up about 3 feet onto the wall. Dandy indeed. QUESTION: Where was the BLUE?
Marsha/Greg...Fake Jan/Peter...and Cindy/Bobby always paired up together seems a bit incestual to me. Ironically, fake Jan was the best part of this disaster.
I wasn't a fan of The Lawrence Welk Show either. However, I would say that they actually had talent and ran for around 30 years as opposed to eight episodes for this train wreck.
