This is a wee video of my short stay at the Braemar Caravan Park with a wander round the beautiful Braemar village and Braemar Castle.
A beautiful place indeed, especially in autumn.

My mother is a Findlay, and Braemar is their ancestral home. I'm first generation American, of British parents, and was born and raised in Kentucky. When I was in Braemar, I was amazed at how much it's like Kentucky. Easy to see why so many Scots settled in Appalachia!

It must have felt like home when you visited Braemar :) I looked at some photos online of Kentucky and the pine mountains. It is very like the Braemar area! Beautiful place to live 😍 When I visited the Balmoral Cairns near the Balmoral Estate the woodlands were very much like this.

Spent my summers there, My family ran a B&B, great memories! Was just showing my kids where I used to go and what we got up to!

Thank you. This was my first time visiting and didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to find out any more about what it's like living there. @@loveexploringscotland Just reading information provided in your link I don't wish to spend 90 minutes driving into one of three cities. I want to patronize local shops with a range of good food, though it looks like I may be disappointed.
