Pulling off 5 vanishes back to back needs to transition into a clash that zooms out and shows bouncing shockwaves. Just reuse the dash clash inputs.

8:07 i think they needa add teleport clashes after like 4/5 consecutive vanishes, it just gets dumb watching and waiting for whoever has lowest ki to lose imo. but the tighter timing after each vanish is a good idea too

The Z vanish should be a forced clash after 4 just like in Tenkaichi 3. Having it just based on Ki sucks. It would force people to not rely on it, and it would end in a meaningful transaction

the vanish wars are wack af, after 2 it should be one of the little quick time things like beam fight, or like have other options like up+vanish,down+vanish...

People were posting that android 19 gameplay as like what competitive sparking zero looks like but this is it. Patch some cheese, make vanishing and super counters harder and this is some entertaining stuff

8:28 I think the original ultimate ninja series had the speed increase when doing those vanish chains. Who knows they may try to bring it into sparking.

This game is genuinely so good, as someone who didn’t grow up playing the other budakai tengaichi games and started watching dragonball with the abridged series I’m so glad I got to experience this game(I suck at defense though) and love the community for it

Yajirobe, Afterimage Strike, unblockabled are why I think this game should not have had a ranked mode. The classic games are revered even with poor balancing because there wasn’t an official ranked mode. Ranked calls for balancing, and Balancing isn’t what we had in those classic games.

Major issue with this game, it sucks because I like it, is the better you get the less fun it becomes. Like online is the same 3 tactics and every game has a vanish war every engage. Yes, I like online, games, no it doesn’t need to be balanced but playing and playing against the meta is not fun.

outside of the transmission battles, watching this games competitive scene is actually very entertaining

Vanish war kinda annoying to watch. 3 things that shouldn't be in this game. 1) Instant Sparking/full ki skills 2) unblockable attacks 3) no increase difficulty window on counter vanishing. It makes the game waaaay to spam reliant with those 3 things always being prioritized and over utilized.

30 seconds into the video and I already gotta say I agree Afro, I spent a lot of hours as a kid playing budokai tenkaichi 3 and this is it for me honestly. This game is just so good, it’s bringing all my nostalgia back and has met every expectation I’ve had.

I agree with the vanish wars increasing in timing speed. Every button press would make it not only more fun but cinematic and truer to the anime as well. To the point where the pro players are blinking around like crazy during a match.

For watching it, sure they need to change the vanish mechanic. But for being in the fight, at the end of the day, it's about focusing and mastering the technique; fighting so fast to the point you don't even know what's going on. It might be boring to watch but it's still fun to watch 2 players who've mastered the mechanic showcase their skills.

This is my fav series from you dude. I love seeing get hype and the commentary on the fights.

As far as the Vanishing wars go. I think they should take a page from Dissidia FF. Specifically the pursuit attacks. The attacker has the option to do a quick bravery attack or a slower HP attack and the defender has to dodge at the right time. If the defender dodges too soon expecting a brave attack they get hit by the HP attack, but if the defender is overly concerned with getting hit by the HP attack, the attacker can keep getting the quick hits. It creates a mind game . They just have to add some extra level of decision making to vanishing.

vox as a player is the only reason this was interesting to watch. the faith in his super counters to preserve hp when he was at a ki deficit in a vanish war was fucking dope to witness. if it wasnt for the absolute AUDACITY of his gameplay style i wouldnt have made it past the first fight ngl. kudos to him on the dub.
