Seeing a lot of comments about "which brand do you recommend" and realized I probably should have mentioned it in the video! Of course, I recommend FreshCap (our brand) available on our website or on Amazon!
My question is this. I bought some lions mane powder as well as cordyceps powder. I am planning on mixing these together and put in "00" capsules, what I want to know is how many capsules do I need to take in the AM? I was thinking 2 of the mixed capsules. I also take moringa, turmeric and black pepper, I started making my coffee water with dandelion root (I French press my coffee), I am also on a BP med that I take. Can you help me out, need to know how many capsules to take of the lion's mane and cordyceps. Please advise.
Mushrooms did wonders in my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder years ago as a teenage. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Spent my whole life fighting cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
From my experience it really works excellently! It doesnt even need to be a full hit. With potent shrooms 2-3 small ones will still make a clear difference. It will be a few hour cosy rumbling moment around rest time, but afterwards its just calm and you feel amazing and gain your freedom. Psilocybin is different dudes, its the only "treatment" I would recommend to someone who genuinely wants to get better. There is no addiction, withdrawal, or negative side effects. It's just pure healing., far more effective than any anti-depressant. You can thank me later,
I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.
Psilocybin mushrooms healed me. I can't explain it but my experience has been spiritual and eye opening. I also started micro dosing. It really helped me get rid of depression and anxiety.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Germany. Really need
Changed my life. I’ve struggled with ADHD and was put on amphetamines at five years old, I stopped taking them around 17 and suffered from psychosis for about two years. I found these mushrooms and your brand at just the right time when I was 21. I always refused to take medication. I’m honestly not sure where I would be if I hadn’t started taking lions mane, I definitely wouldn’t be living the lifestyle I am currently. Thank you for making an amazing product. I’m 23 now, I’ve been taking small steps to better myself over the past two years. For anyone reading this you are blessed and may you never give up on yourself 🍄💕
Just discovered my ADHD. Thank you for sharing your experience. Now I’m even more certain in my decision NOT to take the meds! The natural route is the one for me. Also thanks for the encouragement. You have been through so much to turn around s as BD give good energy to strangers is beautiful. UPDATE I did the supplements for a month an loved them. They helped, but I got on an anti depressant and honestly, I don’t know what else could have come close to alleviating my symptoms. People have a stigma against Adhd, but I was holding on to stigma against meds. I officially stand corrected. Do the research, and get some actual help you guys. The natural things are amazing for supporting mental health, but if you have co morbidities, meds can help you get a grasp on life again.
Hi, I was wondering if I want gradually decrease the usage of my prescription stimulant medication and consume this Lion’s Mane Mushroom instead. Do you able to stop using Amphetamine after consuming this mushroom?
I've used lionsmane now for several months and noticed a profound improvement in my mental functions (I'm a PhD candidate). Also, my appreciation of things in life like beauty and nature has deepened. Oh... and also, I spontaneously stopped my lifelong habit of heavy drinking😮!!
The post shingles nerve pain in my 80 year old mother's face is gone after Lion's Mane for 7 weeks. She has stopped taking Lyrica after 15 years for this.
That’s great news. How did she take it? Any brand? Fresh? I have a gentleman with similar condition, friend of mine, even though I’m a male nurse, I’m aiming to switch to a Natural Health Coach.
That sounds great. I’ve been suffering from PHN for 4.5 years now and Lyrica is getting less and less effective all the time. I’m going to give this a try.
@@japanluv It's been 3 months now & pain is gone. I'm very partial to brand Host Defense. She takes 2 capsules a day. 1g. a day. We almost lost her in December. We had to help her learn to walk and talk again. Between Physical, occupational therapy & home nurse. We did not give up on her. My Dad had passed during all this. Today she is talking care of herself, even driving again. I have to give Lion's mane some credit here.
At night I typically add Lion's mane powder in a hot drink; in that form it is fine. I am a teacher, and at age 83 my cognition and memory continues to be sharp.
Psilocybin containing mushrooms save my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit
Psychedelic’s definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here
I am feeling the same way too. I put too much on my plate and it definitely affects my stress and anxiety levels. I am also glad to be a part of this community.
After countless seizures from T1 Diabetes over 30 yrs, I've developed a tremor. After 4-5 mnths from introducing Lion's Mane into my fairly balanced low carb diet, I'm noticing MUCH BETTER control over my fingers and barely any trembling. I love Lion's Mane. Strongly suggest. Thanks for your great content.
My dog used to have frequent seizures (2-3 week) and they were getting worse. I removes any food with corn in it from his diet and he is almost completely cured.
oh my god. Im a T1 diabetic and this comment scared the fuck out of me. im glad you are well now. sheesh, so thats what can happen if you your sugars arent managed properly.
@@lpg12338 I'm on the dual pack of capsules by Oriveda. I kept it at a low dose for about a year, but now am taking 5 capsules total a day. Almost 0 shaking.
Psilocybin containing mushrooms saved my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.
The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
I love tripping, I just found guy that has them all the time I just buy a big bag an eat them at will. Every time I run out and stop tripping their is never a withdrawal or any kind of need for more like most other drugs sold these days. I don't do it for mental health I do it for fun it's great I love it.
Saved me as well. I used to get vestibular headaches that caused vertigo daily (would be super rare to go two days vertigo free). I did a strong dose, and noticed I didn't have vertigo....strange. That was 6 months ago now and I have had a few very small bouts with vertigo. And when they come I only have it for a few minutes instead of a day. Absolutely incredible
I have been using lions mane for over a year now and during that year I went a very short period of not using it. During this time I noticed I was slower to react and process information. This mushroom is incredibly beneficial and aids in depression, anxiety, and maintaining focus. It’s literally saved my life.
I've encountered Lion's Mane on many occasions on my hikes thru Forrest Park in Portland. You've inspired me to not only try eating it, but to try and grow it as well. Thank you.
Ive been taking Lion’s mane for 4 months, not expecting much. My reading comprehension and memory has increased dramatically. Im reading longer and maintaining interest because my reading is smoother and I’m grasping concepts and ideas and retaining that information. It’s great! I recommend to all.
Are you on any other medications? I am interested in trying it myself, but i'm on an anxiety medication (clonazepam) and I can't find any info on interactions.. I've read mixed information. I want my comprehension and cognitive focus to increase, was hoping to try this.
@@leondarko8491 I don't take any medications. I would talk with a doctor about any anxiety medications. I don't feel anything from Lion's mane when I take it. There is no buzz or high feelings. I think it's pretty natural. It's just ground up mushroom without any psychoactive effects. I don't wanna over hype it, but I definitely notice improvements. I don't even have to take it all the time, I can go weeks without it and I believe it restored the mylelin sheaths in my brain. Im still reading and comphrending very well.
I have differed from chronic depression / anxiety since childhood. I’m 68, I started taking Lion’s Mane supplements a couple of weeks ago and my depression disappeared immediately and completely! It’s a miracle! I feel reborn! I’m happy!
I feel like taking it before bed would be super powerful because of the nerve aid it provides would just help your body rebuild/repair more effectively when sleeping
Lion's Mane has been shockingly helpful for me. I've had chronic neck and back pain for over a decade due to injury, scoliosis, degenerative disc, and syringomyelia. I've also had a traumatic brain injury and have been suffering from depression. I took Lion's Mane simply out of desperation for anything to help, but I wasn't expecting much. After a couple of weeks use I've noticed a dramatic improvement to my mood and energy. My back pain isn't gone but I'm handling it much better and not having to lean on narcotics so heavily. I feel more alive - actually excited about things - something I haven't felt for a long time. I will say if I take it at night I don't sleep as well, so morning dose only for me.
Thank you for your post. How much do you take a day? My husband and I are struggling with health issues and are trying natural ways of healing. Thank you!
@@cindyebner5556 I've been taking the suggested dose on the bottle (varies by brand). I've also stopped taking pain meds as I've come to realize they were causing more harm than good (inflammation, mood). I and some others I know have also found some ache relief from Reishi supplements (though some have tried with no noticable effect).
@@nicomyth Thank you for your reply. I hear ya about pain meds. My husband and I are working on trying to wean him off some of his meds after learning of side effects. Can’t wait to try lions mane to see if it will help. Thank you!
@@hehehheheh9484 after about 2 weeks I was feeling a little better but thought it may be a fluke - natural ups and downs. After 3 weeks I knew it wasn't a fluke - I was actually excited about life. I take Freshcap now, but I started with just a cheap supplement (Deals Brand or something cheap sounding). About a month ago I tried to stop taking Lion's Mane to see what would happen. My pain and depression started to return within 4 days
After 8 weeks of taking this I was able to start acing my job interviews, receive numerous job offers, and went from a general laborer to executive vice president in 8 weeks thanks to being so sharp in my interviews. Blessed.
I just started taking lions mane from “Real Mushroom” company and I must say that I’ve never felt so calm and focused. I was diagnosed with adhd and I use to take medication to manage it. Long story short I hated the side affects from the medicine which resulted in taking trazadone just to sleep. Since taking lions mane I feel true mental clarity. It feels clean and natural. I also sleep a lot better towards the end of the evening because I’m less anxious and I’ve accomplished much throughout day. Lions mane is truly a great supplement to manage adhd
Ive been taking this for only 3 weeks and my short and long term memory have both improved tremendously. Im passing tests with higher scores and my focus is also eagle sharp. I am so glad i stumbled across this. This could be a great natural subsitute for people that take ritalin or any other similar medication i feel. I will continue to use and praise this for the rest of my life
After hearing about Lion's Mane from both documentaries and the locals at my Farmers Market, I bought a supplement I found online with over 3,000 good reviews. I get seizures monthly in my sleep (which I take a presciption for). Neurologists have always warned that the medicine has a reputation for impacting memory due to all the neurtransmitters being dampened, hence my strong interest in Lion's Mane. The first day I took it was in the evening. The next morning I noticed that my FitBit measured more REM sleep and deep sleep than I've had since I bought the device. Sure enough, I soon saw an article that says Lions Mane is known to improve REM sleep. So you're right, can't hurt to take it in the evening!
@@niellalien I got Host Defense. I'm on my second bottle now, and haven't had a seizure since I started. I'm also reading books for longer periods of time than I can remember. One could claim the reading might be a placebo effect, but nevertheless, it's happening. And the lack of seizures are beyond my conscious control. :)
Great video, thank you. Alzheimer’s runs in both sides of my family so my husband, sons and I started powder two years ago. Absolutely positive changes all around.
@@danielbrook-gg7ld The only problem with psychedelic therapy is the brain damage it causes in every dose. Every dose causes damage, there’s no lower limit where psychedelic becomes safe.
I am very impressed. I never heard of this mushroom until I went to a Farmer's Market. My daughter bought some for me and can't wait to try and eat this. Hoping this helps with my husband dementia.
I was drawn to taking Lion's Mane after a spinal cord injury, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, it looks as if the nerve damage is permanent. I've been taking this for 6 months and I'm really pleased with some of the benefits that I wasn't expecting. Soothing the gut is one benefit. I seem to be getting much more nutrition out of my food without changing my diet. My basic health is so much better than it's been for many years and my mental health is improving, too.
spirulina, chaga, miatake, shitake, lion's mane, maqui berry, grapeseed extract and vegetable juice/smoothies are my favorites. Celastrus seed extract and lion's mane with spirulina alone will give you enough energy to replace coffee all day without any of the jitters. I also like to take those mushroom complex extracts and mix them with white grape juice which is loaded with ormus so drinking that all the time with lime juice (which purifies your heart for those who smoke) will definitely provide a youth elixir and the vitamin C turns the beta glucans into sweet natural sugars! :D i would also look into maqui berry, blue spirulina, grounded orange peel and grounded lime peels. i like to mix em w/ the store bought smoothies
What else? I feel Chlorella > Spirulina. Also 80% of world's deficient on magnesium. 100% of diseases are related to its deficiency. Seamoss is healthiest thing in the world
dont overdo the mushrooms. they will make you vomit if you take them everyday especially if you smoke mota. take them like once a week in small portions, if any. also drink a lot of water, 3 glasses a day at least. typically spirulina is safer than chlorella and blue lake algae, those can potentially be more toxic.
I had almost immediate results with Lions Mane. It seemed to open dormant parts of my brain and enhanced my memory and concentration with only days of usage.
@matchpoint the brand I take is host defense, and psilocybin I take .2-.4 grams every 2 days, and it keeps me aware and calm and the connection is a personal friend . But is not hard to find
No Way!!! I just purchased a Lions mane grow kit and then did some research. Has been wanting to grow mushrooms and came across it by chance. I have suffered an acquired brain injury after dropping dead in 2009 and having a downtime of about 8 minutes. End result is a very bad memory. Super excited to give this a go and see the results!
I've been consuming the powdered form for months and I can attest to the benefits. Best taken with a healthy diet, plenty of water, and adequate sleep.
@@Danboi. if you get good sleep and drink enough water then you'll notice a subtle change in your focus and memory when you take Lion's Mane. If you don't do those things, don't bother wasting your money cause these supplements aren't cheap. I use OM Lion's Mane. Be warned the powder form taste like fish food, so put in something that covers the taste. It's cheaper than capsule form.
Can’t recommend LM enough. My experience with taking lion’s main capsules before sleep. Is that I would fall into these epic fantastic dreams which could span through a lifetime, & wake with total recall. However, although these dreams which were fascinating to decipher, left me feeling pretty exhausted akin to jet lag. So, definitely recommend if you want to go holiday in your sleep but not if you got work the next day.
My father had gotten shingles and I gave him lions Maine. He was up and back at work (he’s a mailman, so he walks a lot) in 3 weeks!! His friend had gotten shingles 2 years ago and hasn’t recovered yet and asked him what his secret was. He said “my son gave me LIONS MAINE!”
Lion’s mane seems to be good for repairing nerve damage. But I prefer using antivirals to get rid of shingles BEFORE it damages nerves. I drank licorice tea, ( not too strong or it becomes a laxative), and chamomile tea, and made a salve with calendula flowers, licorice, marjoram, beeswax and coconut oil. Buttered myself a few times a day. Gone in a week. Thanks be to God.❤ ( Buttered an extra week just to be sure, that pain was scary while it lasted...)
Lion's Mane is a great focus aid. Helps me with studying and doesn't make me fall asleep. It's more of a calming focus effect. So it may help ones with ADHD and ones with deteriorating cognitive abilities. It's great as a tea which you can combine with your coffee or other tea drinks.
Brilliant thank you, I have been using lions maine religiously for a few months in my morning smoothie, it has helped me a lot, also my nan who has dimentia has seen improvements. I also fractured my hip the other day and I am going to up the dose slightly to see if it helps the healing process.
Lion's mane gives me extremely vivid and sometimes lucid dreams. It happens every time I start taking it. Is this normal? Not complaining, I love dreaming haha
I had a nasty concussion from an ugly incident. I thought I was getting early dimentia symptoms. It was just concussion after effects that takes a very long time to heal. Lions Mane got my cognitive function back on line!.. Sometimes euphoria after intake on my moods, also drastically improved my irritable tendencies to an ease state of mind. I mix it in with Chaga powder and raw honey; it almost tastes like a mocha drink. Great coffee replacement! 💥🍄
Its funny i just listened to Dr JC on Triggernometry where he mentioned lions mane which led me to randomly selecting this great video and consequently seeing his message here.
I plan on trying to grow this mushroom along with a few others this year on a property I own in West Virginia..I think I have the perfect environment for them.. hopefully
When growing Lion's Mane shrooms, try to locate areas with lots of shade, plenty of logs or dead trees, and as is the case with all mushrooms, plenty of moisture.
@@wate98 I'm along a creek in the valley of a mountain with a bunch of shade and fallen timber around..it seems like the perfect location but we shall see
My first experience with eating Lions Mane was in Taiwan. I am a vegan and I was convinced that someone had mad a mistake and that what I was eating was NOT mushrooms and that I was eating meat. The chewiness, texture, and flavor are the closest that any unflavored natural product I have tasted comes to meat. It's too bad that there aren't more sources for fresh Lions Mane here in the USA. People would be greatly benefited by eating less meat.
Love, love your content, Im actually right now growing some lions mane for the first time, just spawned some sawdust but also trying to fruit it straight from the grain container to see how it goes,Im so exited!
I may order some from the website you provided. Im afraid to buy from Amazon because I read good & bad reviews. The bad reviews show companies sell lighter & less potent mushroom extract.
Def works on the stomach, I’m taking a mushroom blend with LM Extract & it’s been 2 weeks & Im super regular. Not sure what it does for the brain but my digestion has improved
Took away my brain fog after doing lots of stupid drugs. After 3 months. Also the anti-inflammatory property made my mosquito bites only last 1 day EVEN after scratching them. My dreams are very vivid aswell
I just bought some and took a big bite. Gonna take some getting used to lol. Surprised at how much water is in them, almost like squeezing a soked sponge.
i started taking Lions mane supplement for 1 week. After several days I developed itchy skin in random places. After some research this is a known side effect for people who suffer from allergies such as hay fever, as Lions Mane promotes the production of histamine. So I recommend caution if you already have over active histamine levels due to other allergies
I forage for chaga and reishi. I've been beating the brush for years now and found lionsmane once! In the wilds of northern NY state it's pretty scarce. I've be taking a tincture I made from it and my cognitive abilities seem sharper. I've been using chaga regularly , reishi less often and ginseng sparingly. I'm 61 soon and recently quit sugar and I'm better shape now than I have been in years.
I tuned in to this channel because lions mane mushroom is in a superfoods coffee drink i bought on the fifty percent off rack at my grocer. So i bought some. I cant get myself to eat raw mushrooms even though i harvested a few out of my own yard after the torrential rains weve been getting here in the west. Not sure why just cant stomach the cooking and eating of raw mushrooms. However the button mushrooms in a can i like. Thanks for the informative video.

This is about Lion's Mane and recovery of a burnout of a highly sensitive person (HSP). Waking up last Friday I noticed undeniably that I'm having my fourth burnout. There were two exceptional stressors in my life on Thursday but I was too exhausted to do intentionally anything preventive to the burnout. I didn't recognize the risk soon enough. However, I had taken the first Lion's Mane capsule of 500mg in the Thursday evening. I had ordered it in order to reduce recovery time of a weekly workload since I'm a HSP. I took the second Lion's Mane capsule on Friday morning hoping taking the capsules twice a day would reduce a bit the recovery time which I was expecting to last 2-3 weeks. I had to go to errands before the noon on Friday feeling burnout symptoms in my body. In the Friday afternoon I suddenly noticed the burnout symptoms were completely gone!!!???!!! I felt perfectly normal in my body in less than 24 hours after taking the first Lion's Mane capsule. I hadn't done or taken anything else than the 500mg of Lion's Mane. The circumstances and even the stressors were exactly the same all the time. I'm still in awe of the situation writing this on the following Monday morning at my office.
Super easy Mushroom to grow! Also one of my favorite tasting mushrooms. It's basically the perfect meat substitute. Tufo ain't got nothing on loin's mane mushroom! I love to cook it with an oriental flare. Also just an excellent supplement/nutropic for brain, gut, immune, and overall health. Highly recommend trying! I made a video showing my favorite recipe, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think!
Dumb question for you ... When you use the word "supplement", are you simply eating the mushroom or are you processing the mushroom by extraction or dehydration or something similar? Thank you in advance. I am hoping to get the full benefits by simply eating it ... a little garlic, a little butter ... a little sauté ... Oops, looks like he answers this at about 6:23.
Im trying 2g a day in powder form because I have Dpdr and I’m completely dissociated. I heard from someone on redit that lions mane is what helped them after two weeks they feel normal again. Took away the dissociated and anxiety and they feel clear minded 🙏🏼 I really hope this works for me
Hi Edith, please let us know how it works for your Dpdr, because someone I love also suffers with dpdr/extreme dissociation and I'd like to recommend that they try Lions Mane. Best wishes for your healing to come swiftly. ❤
Can you make a video on how to grow lions mane in mason jars ... I have never known how to fruit them without a bag !! Mush love I learn so much from your channel ❤️
I don't have anything too serious, but i took it for the hell of it. One day i realized that i said everything that i wanted to say with more fluency which i found strange. Usually when i talk i sturer when saying something, or sometimes i feel that i say um or ah between my words. As if the loading process of how process information has been less which is something that i love.
I have heard that the medical benefits are best taken in BOTH extracts, water and alcohol. Once the chitin walls are broken it can be used better by the body, but each method produces unique results.
I'm a little skeptical on the extraction even really doing anything. When it's powered or cooked and chewed up I imagine the human digestive track is probably fairly efficient at extraction it self.
@@mrhomely In powdered form you would have to consume the equivalent of 16-17 size 00 capsules of material to get the same dose as a capsule or two of extract. And even then our bodies are not that good at breaking down the chitin in their cell walls. You would have to boil them first and in that case you've practically already started the extraction process.
Another review here, i habitually smoke canny bis and havent had dreams in what feels like years...recently took some lions mane tincture and have had vivid dreams the first night! Its crazy
