BTW, your reaction was pretty much just like mine the first time I heard this song when I was about 16. Mind blowing, amazing song. Trust me, the ones I recommended are just as good or better; some are just different. Guns n Roses has a LOT of masterpieces.
Who are these guys? They're 5 guys that blew an amazing thing up and left a huge legacy in a relatively short space of time in the '80s and early '90s in the same way that the "Sex Pistols" did in the '70s. We were all left thinking, What could have been? ( Except Axl went and ruined it with "Chinese Democracy").
I was fortunate to grow up on Guns N' Roses during my high school years and have only grown to appreciate their song writing talent in the years following. Their debut album "Appetite for Destruction" I think of now is basically a hit you in the mouth to let you know we're here type of album. Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, My Michelle, Mr. Brownstone, and all the rest of the tracks were basically them laying down their claim to kings of the heavy metal jungle at the time - and it worked. That was released in 1987 and they didn't really release any new music for another 4 years when the double albums "Use Your Illusion I and II" were dropped. That further cemented their legacy as song writers and composers. They have a trilogy in there with Don't Cry, November Rain, and Estranged that are still some of my favorite songs to this day. Coma is straight up a masterpiece of song writing. Locomotive and Breakdown further examine the relationship issues they were dealing with at the time. Civil War takes a deep dive into society and politics that is still relevant today. Don't Damn Me is just a great song about being free to express yourself and the repercussions you might get for that expression. Throughout these albums Axl and Slash never cease to amaze with the vocals, song writing, and guitar solos. I subscribed to your channel in the hopes that you will do some of these songs in the near future.
There's a free documentary on RU-vid with the title that I think is raised on the Sunset Strip or something like that. You should check it out. If someone hasn't checked it out it's worth a look. When you type it into RU-vid they're going to try to tell you to rent or buy but you can find a free on RU-vid period piece and I completely agree that homeboy is one of the greatest guitarist anywhere. I have not listened to enough of Brian May to compare yet. Still kind of young guy and learning. Pretty sure the name of that dock is raised on the Sunset Strip. Don't pay for it again since it is all for free

My favorite band of all time. You can listen to the whole album Appetite for Destruction. Every song is great. IMO, the greatest debut album of all time.
Oh, and the lead guitarist’s name is Slash. He is a biracial man (African American mother and British father) from the UK/LA and is revered as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. He was also hot AF back in the day lol. One of my fave bands and guitar players. Love your reactions!

I hope Steven makes an appearance. While I think Frank does an alright job he just doesn't seem to have that oomph in his playing. I find he's always just a tad behind. Either way they still have it and I hope we get to hear some new material on this tour. Enjoy your gig lady 🤘👍

I'd thought I'd suggest my two favourite emotional songs "It must have been love" with Roxette and "Eternal flames" with Bangles. I love those songs, and I'm usually listen to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. And if you want to hear an amazing voice, "The Poet And The Pendulum" with Nightwish.
My all-time favorite rock band! This was the original GNR lineup. W. Axl Rose (vocals), Slash (lead guitar), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar), Duff McKagan (bass), and Steven Adler (drums). Much has been written about this band over the years. It's beautiful to see you completely "getting" this music and rocking out with it! I've seen them live in concert twice (including shortly before this video was filmed), and there's a reason they became the biggest rock band in the world in the late 80s and early 90s. The album this song is from, their debut, 1987's APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, is one of the greatest rock albums ever made, and definitely one of the greatest debut rock albums ever recorded. You simply MUST get a copy of it, and of their 1991 two-part album USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II. Also, by the way, Paradise City was pretty much about Los Angeles, California.
For me Slash is THE guitarist. His style is THE way to play the guitar, and THE way for a rockstar to present himself. The Les Paul guitar, the iconic cylinder, that attitude when he performs...it's just so Slash.
