People tripping in this comment section. I'm not a vegan or anything but I was looking for a good recipe for lions mane. This looks awesome and in no way should cause any controversy. 👍
Omg!!! Just found u when looking for recipes for lions mane. I have 5lbs and making as much medicine and food as I’m able. So excited to make this for dinner. Love your video, personality, and cooking creations. Can feel your joy and kindness!! Thx for sharing! 😍
@@CornrowHTX great video! I really have a question tho: where could you even buy this online or in-person stores?? Or is it something you just found??? I NEED to buy this!!
I just discovered this mushroom a few months ago. I love it. I generally use oyster mushrooms in my food but this has added quite a few new choices to my food .
As a long time vegetarian, now vegan, I love to see young folks cooking vegan with creativity and pride. Beautiful! I'm curious, how would you describe the flavor of this mushroom? Some say it's crab-like.
we have been focused on oyster mushroom for the past few months so it has been a while since i've had the lion's mane, but i would say it comes across slightly earthy to neutral really. i never got a crab taste, but i could see people saying that about the texture
Sometimes depends on the strain. There are more than one strain of Hericium just like Pluerotus. The Oyster/Pluerotus that tastes like bacon can only be gotten from Ireland. Not to say that a few in the States don't have that strain, but it's not a common Oyster strain here.
Ok I’m looking for new “mixed media” artists and this pops up. Now I’m searching for more of your videos (and Lions Mane mushrooms). Well I’m glad to have you pop into my RU-vid life.
Holy cow dude you’re making some pretty nice looking gourmet food over there. I love creating something with some fine cooking I’m learning a lot RU-vid is an awesome place for this check out Vito Icopelli‘s Poolish pizza dough if you want to learn how to make your pizza fantastic. I learned so much on his channel I came to look at what you were making with the Lions mushroom because I’m thinking about growing some and I’m trying to save cost buying less me even if I put them on a thin hamburger that would be fine I also don’t like some of the quality of the meat that we’re getting in the store these days I believe they are trying to make more money with chemicalsI. I try to raise things around my farm with chickens turkeys ducks I don’t kill them Are use Eggs and I use them the breed so I can sell other animals to friends. You got me set on the growing in trying this now i’ll check out what other kind of things you have on your channel later too if I remember , Thanks for this video

New to the mushroom world, and looking for ways to cook these beautiful mushrooms. This looks sooooo good. Did have a request, could you do some cooking with dried mushrooms?
They are actually one of the worse tasking wild mushrooms the only ones that are worse are Gem studdded puff balls, Deer mushroom, and maybe midlife dryads saddle. If you are trying to grow them yourself your options are limited, but I am confident you can grow oysters pretty easy which are much better.
Why did my dumbass think that lions mane actually came from a lion? lmao! Because I heard they put it in this new coffee that they sell. Well this is a very interesting recipe.
I do think there is enough research to prove fungi are intelligent and sentient. However the mushroom is not the organism, the mycelium network is. Mushrooms are just the fruiting bodies, and apart of the fungi kingdom.
it's not vegan...it's a fungi, more akin to grass fed beef than a vegetable...it lives off the death of another...so yeah, people will wake up to the "perfect" food
@@CornrowHTX can you handle the truth? If everything living exists at the hands of the dead, how does the world exist? Hah, the Lord Amlighty exists as one, you wish you understood Him
@@andrefecteau Guess you never watched the Lion King and learned about the circle of life. Have you seen the recent study about vegetables feeling pain? You think because you can't hear the screams of the food you kill and eat that they don't? Something has to die for something to live, THE CIRCLE OF LIFE! You lefties are so ignorant of how life truly works. You have a rude awakening in the real world.
@@saltypyro9458 dude you are smoking that bad crack again...only humans have a soul, everything else is food, left or right: stop being such a racist and labeling everyone
