Id say after you get the car lifted about 15 to 20 minutes per side if it's your first time. About 1.5 hours including everything? No idea, it takes me 3x longer to do everything when I video but I've done this so many times now it takes me like 5 minutes per side.

Did you have the brake service mode on? If not, how did you deal with the electronic parking brake?

Don't need to do anything, the parking brake doesn't move the pads. It uses a drum inside the rotor. The non brembo cars use an electric motor to engage the brake pads. In that case you can just not activate the parking brake?

Welp. Had my first 'off track adventure' on my first track day with m 2020 ss1le. What brake pads are they and do they make a massive difference over stock? I had a problem with braking from 130mph down to 60 for first turn at my local track. Let me know please. Thanks in advance

I've never used stock brakes on track so I can''t give you any info on that. I use Hawk DTC 60 brake pads all around on my car with castrol SRF fluid. Never had any brake issues, I've even done a 1 hour session before (full tank of gas). What issue specifically did you have, did the pedal go soft, was it hard? Did you brake too late?

@@SpyderRacing dominion raceway is my local track. I got more confidence and had a great exit out the last corner. I checked my data and I topped 135 before my braking marker. Was doing 125 before. I braked at the same marker but didn't slow down enough. I think I need a better initial bite and harder stopping power. If I can get that, I'll hopefully brake later or carry the same speed and confidently shorten my braking distance. I hope I'm making sense. Sorry if I'm not.

@@princeontrack4647 Hawk 60's have pretty good initial bite, braking depends a lot on what your tires can do also, otherwise it will just activate ABS.

Are those brakes the same as the big brother ZLE???

No, the ZLE has 390 mm rotors. These are 370 mm. However If you buy an SS 1LE with copper free California compliance you get larger rotors similar to a ZLE.

How many miles did you get out of them?

I use them on the track so I get roughly 4 track days out of them. Id say maybe 500 miles or so.

I should clarify, I looked at my track logs. The front pads do last about 500-600 miles or 6-7 hours on the track. The rears last much longer, basically double the miles of the fronts.

I have about 30k on my 2021 and no track days but very spirited driving. I’d say some of driving is the equivalent to at least one track day. Crazy how much track days really wear down on the vehicle compared to other types driving.

@@winterss1le196 Yeah, I'm going to try the Hawk pads next to see if they give me any more longevity. Constant hard braking from 140 down to 40-50 over and over again tends to eat up the pads. Really have to keep an eye on them because it would be pretty catastrophic to run out of pads in the middle of a lap.
