Quite possibly my most favorite tropical indoor tree on the market, the corn plant really is the perfect potted plant pal for any grower out there. These guys aren't too fussy when it comes to care as long as some requirements are being met. Not only is the branched corn plant a gorgeous and elegant indoor tree, but it will also help take care of you while you are caring for him. These plants will help filter out toxins in the air in the immediate vicinity of this plant. Place yours in your bedroom, living room or bathroom to make sure he makes the most of his purification abilities. Be sure to watch the entire video to learn how to keep your corn plant happy and healthy. As always Plant Prudently!

Many years ago 20-25 I saw these huge Cane plants in a big warehouse selling all sorts of stuff. There was no information as to what it was, but it was only $10. It got too big for my house. I live in Houston TX so took a chance and planted it outside in a corner of the house. It has been there for years, and it's pretty much ignored. It had gotten huge, but we had some freezing weather (17 deg) a couple of years ago. It hasn't been happy so today I dug up the babies and potted them. I'm in the process of trying to dig the whole thing out so I can plant my fig tree there. The babies will stay in pots this time, but I'm amazed at how resilient and beautiful this plant is with very little care!

I'm a very experienced grower and ive never seen one with multiple canes like that. They sell ones with 1 or 2 or 3 in a pot but they're individuals potted together not one plant with 4 trunks thats wonderful. Its called fragranse bc when it flowers it smells great and pungent but it almost impossible to get it to flower here where we are in Kentucky 6b bc it doesn't experience a winter since we have to winter it inside it needs a mild winter like it would in Africa

I am sure you will never see this comment since you are so busy, but I really love how in depth you go into on each plant. Loved this one and the croton one, and many more that I cant think of right now. Mom named hers Brandon. She loves him. Keep doing the long videos with all that you have learned. Appreciate you!

I drink distilled water for years and it’s amaZing but I’ve never thought about watering my plants with it 🥺happy I can easily do this now! My water is more on the acidic side so I’m very excited to rehab my corn plants! Just moved it inside 95 I didn’t realize was way too hot for them

Hi Justin, looking so good there. What a fabulous plant, that really was a bargain buy. I have never seen one so big. I have one which is only 1ft to 18 inches, it needs repotting, so now I know how to do it. I love your videos, always so helpful and informative, so thank you for that. Take care ❤

Look at u in ur cute floral t shirt! Love it. Thanks for the great info! I have a couple of single canes and I love em. Edit: now I know why it mysteriously got brown tips! I used tap water and I live in n. ky.

The big box stores got the labeling right for this plant - I Love Bright Light. I tested lower lighting. The leaves lose the variegation stripe. Dracaena Hawaiian actually does low light better and holds its stripe.

Thanks for the info. I have a corn plant. I have struggled with it for over two years. Fortunately, it is still around. Lol. My problem is the brown tips on the leaves. I save your video for references. Wish me luck.

I have several mass canes. None like this though. Mine are pretty big but none branch out like this. I got mine at Walmart for under $20 each some this year. My mass canes have actual names but as a group they are called the Linda's in my house. I use aquarium water only. If you love this plant check out ponytail palms. They look like a mass cane and a ginseng ficus had a baby and that baby took the best qualities from both plants.

i have one that at one point it got burnt in the sun,i removed all leaves left it inside with just the stems, gave it water here and there, now its very pretty and 3-4 feet tall, my latest addition for it was keeping it in a big saucer with rocks above the water line and a wick from the water into the pot, i water a bit on top ,than i fill the saucer to the brim, its thriving like never before as the saucer water makes its environment more humid, i think the fluoride superstition is hogwash,i mean at least mine does not seem to mind, how you water and was by me most important, i just began fertilizing ,will see if that gives it even more vibrancy, i added a little mulch as well, i don't remember what kind of soil i used to fill the pot,i think i used topsoil and not even a potting mix

I just got one yesterday for $21 on sale, Fred Meyer or affiliations. Now I’m watching videos on how to care for it because I bought it with some leaves tips turning brown.

How do you sterilize/prep box store plants and potting soil for pests? I've been battling fungus gnats for over three years due to infected box store plants and potting soils, specifically from Walmart and Menards. I've tried everything: yellow sticky traps, permethrin, etc in the water, mosquito bits, BT, you name it, only to reinfect everything with a new plant or some stubborn eggs in a triaged plant. I have nearly 200 houseplants at this point and feel like I'm fighting a losing battle every time a fungus gnat flies into my eyeball while watching your videos or working on the computer...lol. Maybe a video on your process would be a great idea?

How does the stump divide like that? Is it another variety that naturally does it or was this a pruning technique as the plant grew?

Ive never had a mass cane & i rescued one that was left by the trash. I had to cut off most of the leaves because they were brown. it looks pretty bad. I don't see pests on it. is it worth it to try& bring it back to life?

O_o I barely water my dracaenas, all of them, barely ever, they never seem to be sad about that either... I think the only plant I water less frequently than dracaenas, are my phalaenopsis
