This is a great, full of information and a helpful video, perhaps it would be more useful if whenever you’re talking about a specific problem you attach some pictures pointing to that specified point you’re explaining , this would help A LOT especially for beginners (like myself), it would really help us to know the type of problem our plants have. Thank you so much for this wonderful channel.

I bought a beautiful Draceana Lemon Surprise from Costco. A couple of the bottom leaves had been sniped, it had been watered (probably not with our hard water) thoroughly. I'm in Canada. It's cold, I wrapped it up in cloth shopping bag to keep it warm while going outside. The next morning it had blackening leaves. I took it out of the outer bowl to let it dry better, trimmed some of the dead areas and have put it in a diffused light area of my home.

Thank you so much! My husband brought home one from the store that had mites. He didn’t realize the browning leaves that looked like new growth in the crown! I’ve been racking my brain to what the issue was this whole time. Nowhere could I find anything on this. Just over or under watering or chlorinated or fluoride waters. This helps me so much. I was hoping been oil solution wiping down my plants would get rid of these guys. The same thing tends to happening with my monstera deliciousa black leaf tips.

Thanks. I learned that my dracaena definitely has the fungus problem. It's so dry here, especially with the wood stove going in the winter, that I shouldn't have gotten this problem, so I think it's probably the one-of-a-kind pot that I had it in. Thank you.

Really well explained and straight to the point, thanks for taking the time to clearly talk about this! I have a Dracaena fragrans at home which stayed in the same pot soil for about two years, I moved from a warm/cold place to a really hot and humid one. After moving, my Dracaena started to look weak so I tried to repot her, when I took the plant out of the soil , it had very few roots and all of them looked brown and completely hollow. I've been avoiding over watering and direct sunlight, used new soil and a bigger pot than before but the plant just keeps looking worse and worse, all of her leaves dried and have fallen, the steam lost all the green color, turning black and brown. Is it really dead now? Was it my fault during repotting? was it already dead beyond ways to help her? I'm feeling pretty bad about this, she's been with me for a while...

I am learning a lot of new things about plats, so thank you very much. I live in easten Spain and here the water comes with a lot of calcifomi salts, so it's easy to get that white "crystals". We can't do the "water cleaning " process to get rid of eat (I understand what you are talking about with the soil's clean off with water when you are burning the plant with nutrients). Are those calcium like particles damaging as well?

My dracaena has started to have withered leaves. It’s definitely not the root rot, but very likely broken off roots. I might have damaged it with excessive moving of the plant while re-potting and then moving around for best spot. The plant was not very stable in the new soil. If the damage to the roots is bigger then slight - what are the chances that the plant will recover to better condition and ability to absorb water properly? Is the root system of a dracaena rebuilding itself after breaking of? Thank you

Thank you for a very informative video. I have a question though, I have Dracaena Massangeana with 2 stumps in a pot, have it for over 3 years. I was on vacation for 6 weeks and one of the stumps lost all the leaves and despite my efforts for last 4 months nothing is growing from that anymore! What should I do? Do I repot it and throw the leafless stump or will it grow leaves eventually? Thanks.

Hi! This was very helpful. Question- I had a bad mealybug problem on my dracaena marginata so I sprayed it with a solution of 9 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol which got rid of the pesky bugs but now my dracaena is losing ALL its leaves! They're turning yellow and wilted and falling off one by one. Did I just kill my plant or could it still be saved? Thank you!

Hello Swedish Plantguys, your videos are amazing 💖 I bought a Dracaena Fragrans (yellow/golden coast) about 6 months ago it came without any substrate inside the soil (pumice/perlite/clay stones). So what can I do to help it, self watering with pumice? I am worried about it being too wet as it has no substrate in the soil. or bareroot and fresh soil with a mix of 20-30% pumice but, I think you said before bare rooting is a bad idea for dracaena. I don't know what to do, please help with any other options you have for me. Please give me a few options or the best for my indoor plant. I'm in the UK. In 6 months i have never given fertiliser as I don't know which to give. I also let her dry too much but have watch ur video about drying out. Thank you very much.

My dracena marginata bi-colors (about 21" tall) have vertical cracks in heir stems. The growth and leaf health doesn't seen to be affected but I haven't been able to find a reason for this phenomena and how to avoid further damage. I'd appreciate it if you'd address this in a future video.

I've a quick question for you please - one of the stems of dracena have lost all it's leaves and it's not getting new leaves. The stem has not turned black and is in its natural brown color. What could be the reason please and how can it be fixed? Thanks in advance.

You are fantastic. Could you pls tell me what could be the cause of young dracena leaves having brown tips? I have a corn plant, and I can see that new leaves coming from the center have browned tips. There are 3/4 new leaves coming and two have partial brown tips. Am I underwatering? Some of the older leaves also have browned tips. Thanks!
