No, all the comments Chamblee made right here were spot-on! Cannot speak for other past comments, but everything Brandel said here was spot-on. *Just Look* at Phil he appears as an *absolute shell of his former self.* He looked sickly at the Masters and you cannot deny that he didn't look like Phil Mickelson. He looked frail. Chamblee also correctly said "look at Phil Mickelson's clothing- it's not filled with KPMG Callaway and a dozen other sponsors anymore... it's blank!" Only an absolutely silly, comical & meaningless liv team logo- why? Because he's pushed every sponsor away when he became Radioactive...Brandel could not be more correct about that. If you're going to try to argue that phil looked sickly and frail at the Masters, I saw him all four days in person (no matter how he performed) or that he has pushed away all his sponsors and was awkward at the Champions dinner- then you're just flat-out ignoring facts. It's the truth. If it hurts your feelings. I'm sorry. You want to know some more truth? Phil is one hell of a Pro-Golfer. The Master of the short game (minus putting). Best chipper there ever was! All Facts. But he's not Phil anymore. Sure he had a good finish at the Masters. So? One finish in several years? Here's the kicker though. Playing is NOT the only part of being Phil! Phil interacts with the fans, Phil gives thumbs-up, Phil always Smiles at the camera, Phil always has something witty to say, Phil always signed autographs, Phil signs gloves to hand-out & jokes w the gallery, certainly never looked sickly... the crowd following Phil this year was minuscule on the first 3 days! He didn't give a single thumbs-up, smile, or signing autographs this year in any of the days I saw Phil leaving the driving range at Augusta passing kids in the autograph section... I was a huge Phil supporter in the past. But you must be open-minded and call a spade a spade-He ain't Himself anymore! Are you arguing that the way everything played out took an enormous toll on him and completely changed Phil?! That's a fact just like 2+2=4 Turns out Phil was quite correct about many things he originally said about the PGA Tour-yep! I'll admit that because Im pen minded & admit when things are clearly true. But we're just talkin about *the few* things Brandel said in this specific interview and every one of them was 100% true, plus 1 opinion. The final thing Chamblee said was.. given a do-over if Phil knew how much *Hell he would go through & the way it would change his life forever,* Brandel believes Phil would never have gone this route! How can you argue that? that's just his opinion and honestly believe he's right. I think it was *completely evident* this year how much Phil missed his former glory at *Phil's favourite place & tournament in the world the Masters at Augusta National* when he had a bittersweet most-excellent finish and reminded himself of his former glory.. Phil would've gone on to do all the things Brandel name and ridden off into the sunset had this predicament not changed his life forever- Gentlemen, it's just the truth.

I personally believe everything Phil said about the PGA tour 18 months ago has shown itself to be true. They're giving the players more of their money in the form of larger purses. They came up with a liv style special tournaments with extra extra money involved. And now they're also playing the players start to use their own likenesses for their own purpose. Do I wish Phil would have stayed. Your damn right I do. He's still a class act and people love him.

So, where was all the money going before?? There were a lot of efforts by the PGA Tour to grow the game internationally etc.. I don't think it's that simple, but you are absolutely right that the PGA Tour did indeed step up. I think these players are basically a Union, and they were about to walk out to a better deal, but that union was only made of the very best players CURRENTLY. That's the weakness of LIV; they depend on folks making their name on the PGA Tour, and then try to get them. Nobody cares about LIV winnings, other than the players who are collecting the huge checks. To each his own.

You're wrong and people need to understand the PGA TOUR providing their players more money was a REACTION to LIV. Phil helped create LIV, was actively recruiting PGA TOUR players to join LIV, what was the PGA TOUR going to do, not do anything? They didn't have extra money saved in the bank, it came from sponsors, because those sponsors wanted to also protect their investment into the PGA TOUR. Every single tournament that has an elevated purse and playing for more money, that came directly from that sponsor. So to say Phil was right and everyone should thank him, is wrong, all of that was a REACTION to LIV trying to buy up the sport. You can believe what you want, but to Phil tarnished his legacy out of greed? Is that what everyone should value in life? Money over everything else? The PGA TOUR provided Phil with more money and fame than anyone could imagine, but it wasn't created by Phil, it was created over a long period of time by all the people that came before him, and Phil tried to take all of that down, and for what? Money and greed. If a class act is stabbing people in the back and taking money from a murderous government that he himself said was atrocious, then sure, that's a class act. There are some people who turn a blind eye to that and still love Phil, but it's not the Golf Channel to blame, Phil can look at himself in the mirror for what he did to his own legacy and there are far more people who dislike Phil than love him there days for what he did.

I am with Jack below. Bradon has to say because he needs his job and cannot bad mouth the tout. Phil has a great point that the PGA Tour is taking advantage of the players. All the great shots, all the great hightlights they use to promote the tour, promote an upcoming tournement, the likeness they use of the plaers, the players dont get squat. The PGA uses the likeness to promote charities, they dont hget squat, the pga always says how much money "They" have given and the money that is donated is from sponsors, from patrons, from players and they use it to say how great they are. It slike when you check out out at the grocery store and you check the box to rround up or you give an extra $5, that grocery store says they gave the money to charity when all they did was to pressure their customers into giving money.....I love Phil. He was fighting for the players, fightijg for the game. He is not done yet. There are still great things to come from Phil and I cannot wait to see them

It’s one thing doing business or cooperate with an enemy but quite another animal when you decide to represent someone like the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, all for money. The former has been done since the beginning of time, in war times as well in peace times. That’s how society and capitalism work. It’s a necessary evil if you want to survive as a people or grow as a corporation. Being an employee of the enemy is a quite a different animal all together. The latter deciding for you what to do with practically no leeway and you are obligated to represent the employer’ values who gets to define their product, whereas doing business with the enemy you get to decide terms, liability, you get to make a series of demands and so forth. If you want to know one of the reasons for the aversion towards LIV players it’s their self serving, shortsighted, lack of good values, greedy approach neglecting who they work for all because of money even though they all, for the most part, are very well off because of the pga. Lefty did not say he could “use atrocities as leverage”. He has also repeatedly said he adamantly does not support violating human rights or violence or anything of the sort. How irresponsibly biased can Chamblee be? Phil said he could use A golf tour competitor as leverage. He acknowledged the dark history. A lot of folks would not do that. Although he wishes it didn’t come out. I believe Phil can still make a ton of money as an announcer when he is like 6o or so but Phil is so good at golf. I believe anyone who finishes second at the masters well into his 50s is living his best self and should stick to competing. I believe Phil would not take a mulligan today. Not at all. Aside from not saying that stuff to Shipnuck. He does have a lot of work to do with many others to somehow bring all the tours into an alliance with plenty of co-sanctioned events and such. But no way Phil prefers the purses of last year to what’s going on now. I don’t think anyone does. Not even Rory. I believe Phil will slowly but surely get sponsors. I believe and agree Phil is being overly cautious with his words for OBVIOUS reasons. But that isn’t a shell. That’s growth. But I also don’t think it will last. As you say Phil has a lot to say. He’s already shown flashes of his old self. I wish lefty would give chamblee a piece of his mind. Chamblee sounds like he is on a team that just gave up 5 goals and is extremely salty about it. But it is so wrong to say these things to anyone whom will listen. So so wrong. Imo it’s so greedy and selfish and classless of chamblees to talk about Phil like this. He has won multiple U.S.Amateurs, NCAA Titles, Majors, and is a Member of The International and PGA Halls of Fame. At the height of all of this he saw inequity and disproportionate returns on dollars earned to contributing "partners". He made several expressed efforts to seek remedy and fairness for everyone involved. At this stage in his career Phil had the most to lose and the least to gain. While railroading, bad-mouthing, and exorcising him from the game, suggesting he was greedy and completely full of shit, the PGA completely modified their compensation package, travel & eligibility requirements, and other, only validating Phil and Greg Norman's claims.
