It was very ridiculous that Brandon got kicked out of that furry-con for literally doing nothing and the furry’s there weren’t uncomfortable with him and his boys. most likely the staff there just doesn’t like people recording or interviewing them, believe it will send more bad press towards them or something.🐱
lots of people hate the idea of this dystopian present where motherfuckers shove cameras in strangers faces hoping for a negative reaction for views, I don't like or understand furries. But I hate this shit tier type of content even more.
Its kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Furries are hyper sensitive after years of bullying which causes them to be paranoid about a youtuber covering their convention, making them act in a way that elicits more bullying
No matter their affiliation, giving obviously insecure losers any sort of power is always a horrible idea. They'll look for any excuse to abuse their administrative privileges.
the first deer furry they interviewed seemed chill and cool and obviously people were willing to be interviewed so there’s no reason to kick out brandon. like every interview seemed fun and all parties were clearly enjoying it. they weren’t harassing anyone and they weren’t forcing people to talk to them so idk why there was an issue. staff people just seem like insecure losers
The staff at those things are the equivalent of Discord mods. I make it pretty clear I don't want kids at fur con by putting out graphic displays of violence and letting them know that ahead of time, but they still allow kids. It's these power hungry Reddit mod types that make us look bad because they are always online while the chill ones are too busy having an actual life to notice that we are there too while they are making a ruckus online. I'm trying very hard to be more open minded but I'm super close to just flat out saying I loathe nsfw furries
@@Purplethingytto be fair it look like they are borderline hijacking it for themselves, "were here to protect the furries which if you didn't know is considered a queen identity" like yes but I bet you most of the people coming would have been down to chill. And show him that they're just partying and the suit makes it easier to vibe
I haven’t been to colossal con in quite awhile. It was always the best, ran the same weekend as bike week so the church protestors got met with bikers who protected us nerds. I hope it didn’t go downhill, I’ll have to check it out next year because tickets sell like years in advance
Those "people" literally pushed classic furries out of the cons for being "problematic" so it's not even a case of furries as much as it is a case of malignant narcissists who infect any group that believes in open mindedness, taking advantage of that in order to facilitate control and push their narrative and agenda. They are obsessed with moral superiority and punishment of others.
"Not all furries are bad," Brandon goes to a furry convention, and they try to arrest him. Well then, I guess the good furries are a minority because these people are savages.
as a furry myself i agree, ik a lot of people that own fursuits but hate the community and the people in it. The mass majority of fur-con staff are furries that have no friends to go with so they volunteer so people are FORCED to talk to them. nobody was bothered by brandon except the people who make con experiences so cringe. Somehow they joined a community full of sad lonely neurodivergent social rejects and still cant find a friend.
I was scrolling youtube once and saw a video where a dude was interviewing a furry, he asked her how much her costume was, and she said about $300. He responded with "wow how do you make that kind of money at your age?" because she literally looked 12. The number of comments raging on the dude for asking that was insane. Furries are _incredibly_ defensive. Edit: he said it as if he was surprised in a good way, like "wow how'd you get that kind of money, that's awesome" rather than "you look too poor for that"
That's like asking somebody how much their shoes cost, then saying "You look too poor to afford them"... Of course they're going to bitch, they present their entire personality in their shoes and their income.
@@TheArcticFoxxo he didn't say it like that, he asked as if he was pleasantly surprised rather than judging. You're proving me right about the defensive stuff though
Every time the furry community is given a lifeline they somehow manage to find a way to strangle themselves with it. Honestly kinda impressed how well they manage to do it.
Honestly, this goes for everything. Sports aren't inherently sexual but that doesn't stop the cheerleaders from marching around in miniskirts and their bahongas out.
@@j.k.4479OK Bruh: I'mma just stop you right there. Ain't nobody giving a cent of care about the cheerleaders, especially today. You can't go and give the defense Football is sexual when its a part of the game literally no one, gives one load of codswallop about.
@@foxxoboxxo1611 All I'm saying is everything can have sexual elements. They can be tacked on where not necessary. Pointing to one sexual element in one fandom or community doesn't mean that's what the whole thing is about. Furries definitely have it in a much higher degree than other fandoms that's for sure though, the only thing that out paces them is weebs. Also I wouldn't say no one cares about it because I remember feminists were trying to get pit girls out of racing sports.
The issue is the the kind of person who seeks power and are also furries are generally a combination of people who are fairly mentally maladjusted. I've found out through the experience of being adjacent to the fandom that the average furry is just a socially dejected youth looking to fit in, but the people in charge of events, discords, and groups are not just social dejects, but they are social dejects with a hunger for power validation. Generally the average furry is not going to prevent awful people from strong arming to power positions of events in the fandom just on the principle that socially dejected people are not confrontational. So you end with with the mal adjusted angry people in charge of the events and everyone else kinda having to put up with their tyranically bullshit because they don't want to rock the boat and get kicked out of the one place they fit in.
@@MrCowman57 True but I meant racial, LGBT++ and certain religious communities, especially the activists. Especially in more western civilisations. Furies certainly factor into this especially with this video, but those afore mentioned groups are certainly worse and kick up a stink when the slightest misunderstanding or even an off colour joke is made.
It's just narcissistic to even be so obsessed with one's identity in shallow ways. Rather than having something of value they have to make up aspects to identify with like unique genders and special sexualities as if that isn't just hedonistic and self obsessed. The worst part of people like them is how profoundly hypocritical they are oftentimes, condemning others for things they do in other contexts, justifying attacking and harming others for words and concepts.
Bro, they are literally so insecure they dress up I'm fursuits to hide from the world. They cope by trying to be an animal. Obviously they are insecure losers.
My honest theory is because Buckingham is Sam Hyde-adjacent. Like just the fact he's even minutely related to him probably has him on most people's shitlist.
I disagree although that could be the case for some. I think it’s because he simply is an outsider. Also all these furry staff are social rejects in a way, and probably feel ashamed getting interviewed by someone who seemingly has his life together.
How pathetic and spiteful is that, Like people trying to ruin doja cat for wearing a sam hyde shooter shirt, the utmost effeminate narcissistic fragile attitude, like the teenage girls who started the witch hunts, it's narcissistic women and men who act like women showing how selfish hypocritical spiteful cruel judgemental, literally tolerating nothing that ever slightly rubs them the wrong way because everything has to be for them and everything is their choice and should validate them, they are so cowardly they would only dogpile as part of a group, need them to go to more protests for wife beaters just to end up with a truck barreling through the road
To be fair, I've heard stories of "prank" RU-vidrs just going into furry conventions to fuck with people, at the same time, Brandon did literally nothing to warrant being kicked out let alone get the COPS called on him.
Can only imagine when they call the cops, the police stay out calling for backup and then return with more police with a full armored riot gear on them
furry cons are always a terrible idea to do so many little circles and shit that kick anyone that doesnt fit their rules i got kicked out of a few furry circles just for existing
@@squashedshibber2684I'd rather rephrase that too: If you make anything of quality RP and don't want to be just a blatant sex pest 95 of the time then they'll really wanna just hang you out to dry.
@@neighbor472 Agree. And if you know overly-sensitive weirdos that obviously got bullied for being fucking weird as children, you KNOW the paranoia and anger that resonates from them. They remove anything they THINK could POSSIBLY have negative thoughts about them.
Staff at fur cons are always like this, even the furries who attended these cons hate the staff. Megaplex was the first con I went to were the staff was actually cool.
This is what I commented on his video: As an ex-furry: this is pure gold. You guys for the most part we’re very respectful, plus brought your friend who was the literally opposite of a fury to meet furries. This video summarizes what I loved and what I hate about furries: Love: People of all walks of life being as weird as they want too. It can be a way for people who might be socially awkward feel like than express themselves. Hate: They are one of the most SENSITIVE groups of people. They come off as “we’re open minded and accepting, no matter how weird it is” but think the world is sunshine and daisies and they should always be in a “safe place” aka. Never being judged. This goes with other shit that I hate: They will accept HORRIBLE degenerates (cheese pizza, zoo stuff), but can’t handle someone giving them a weird look.
When I was 12 or 13, I visited the Dallas Museum of Art where they had an exhibition for some kind of "Mirror Stage" art show. It had something to do with the mirror stage children go through when they become self-aware or something. It was so weird, it was a collection of pictures and videos that were non-graphic but highly disturbing. It was flashy and odd. For example, there was a weird anime girl dancing and then a man with guns to his head. Then it showed a furry drowning in quicksand. It still haunts me in a way; I was too young to see that. I'm like you when you said that you were weirded out by the anime and furry shit. It forever turned me off of anything anime and furry related
Was it the picture of the Vietnam communist party executing people in the street? Anytime someone says ‘communism has never been tried for real’ I think of those pictures or pictures like that because millions of people got killed either for not ascribing to it fully or not adhering to the ridiculous rules.
weird thing about Anthrocon, the one Andrew went to, is that it's one of the most strict conventions policy wise. it's ran by some old weirdo that wants everything to be micromanaged to hell and back and they're very aggressive when it comes to potential PR risks, which is why they're on Andrew's ass from day one. let's go to MFF this year Tom, I will be your guide through the chaos
i was wondering about that, almost every con is pretty lax rules wise as long as you're not causing problems, yet people are using this one instance still to hate on the entire idea and all cons. which makes like no logical sense
The irony here is now in micro managing everything to hell and back and trying to arrest a youtube who literally did nothing wrong they themselves have become a PR risk. Amazing
The guy you're talking about is called Uncle Kage. He's the chairman of Anthrocon IIRC. He's on video essentially telling furries to not try and run defense for furries and instead to let him talk to press if asked. Basically telling them to avoid press and let him do all the talking.
If you watch Brandon's last furry convention video from 3 years ago, you will know why the demon woman was on him. She was basically protecting their public image. But that doesn't mean they went about controlling the situation correctly.
As someone who is a fan of anthropomorphic animals, I don't consider myself a furry because I don't want to be associated with these people. They get mad over little things and rage and then act like their fandom isn't toxic, and if you try to talk to them about it, it's like talking to a brick wall. Also I've noticed that furries try to claim that their fandom is 100% safe for kids even though if you look up "furry art" and go to images, you get something suggestive at the second result, and people like me who don't want to see inappropriate stuff have no way of effectively filtering it out. I don't want to be associated with a fandom that is filled with inappropriate content and toxic people, I just want to be a fan of dragonborns from dungeons and dragons and go about my day.
This might come from a recent Event where a furry who happens to be a youtuber got harassed and merch he was planning to sell stolen by youtubers who are more of the kind who go around and annoy people on camera. I kinda get that furries are more paranoid now, but it certainly doesn't help their image. Wouldn't be surprised if in the future more people start recording them to get Karen reactions out of them
The youtubers didn't steal it. His degenerate diaper shota porn was stolen by someone else but he got enraged because some youtubers interviewed him and then went on a harassment campaign to destroy them. Odin Wolf is a nonce so you're not helping by defending them and I doubt he's a reliable narrator.
@@talullah1065 It’s a huge problem that most people know about but love to ignore. For example, the guy who runs Fur Affinity is a sick creature (he said he was sad to have to ban a person he was close to from the site, even though the reason he was being banned was bc he was a literal p3do, for example), but people don’t do anything about it because he’s at such a high level of power and control that he’s basically considered untouchable. It’s one of the many reasons I don’t even have an account, on there.
@@talullah1065 don't forget ped0s, they love them some ped0s especially since there's been an influx of minors attending conventions in the recent years.
@@talullah1065a con was shut down because a ton of furries were doxing members and threatening to harm them because they found out they were zoophiles. You could find this information yourself you know. It doesn't take a lot of time or research to find out furries actually consider zoophiles and pedos as anti fur imposters and think they deserve to be murked and even are way more diligent about getting those people arrested or in jail if not doxxed than other communities
they don't defend zoos and pedos though, the community is actively trying to kick them out. when you look up videos about pedos and zoophiles in the community getting called out, you mostly see other furries talking about them
@@Scruffy-qi3ik Thats because the ped0s and zoos not only run these conventions now, but are almost always the popufurs too. There's a reason people leave the fandom in droves, wanting to associate with those creeps, nah fam i'll pass.
@@Scruffy-qi3ik We normal folk wouldn't know as our reps keep getting kicked out tho. Furries have bad rep and this video makes me think they don't try that much to do smth about it
0:08 Every person who isn't a furry feels the same way. If anything it's abnormal to think they're not weird. I'm sure the people in general are friendly and just happened to like dressing up like this for whatever reason, but if the people running it are really this harsh on people just recording while they're at these conventions it's just going to push the stigma that this shit is lame as hell
I mostly agree. I think it’s important to understand that being a furry isn’t weird if it’s just a hobby you do with your furry friends, but becomes weird when you start acting like it’s acceptable to wear your fur suit and act like a dog in public. Most people don’t care if your a furry, but care when you make them feel uncomfortable in public.
Furry here, in general anthrocon is super serious about rules, especially because of them being the largest con and very much wanting to be as family friendly as possible, on top of this there have been more recent incidents of youtubers going to these cons specifically to harrass people, and i really mean harrass, which has everyone on edge. I dont agree this guy shouldve been kicked out, and getting the cops called on him is fucked. Bro was just trying to interview people.
All it does is just invite more pdf files and degens, perfect environment for them, no one has any courage to speak out against them, and whoever might do so gets booted. Fck these cons.
So internet poisoned that watching tom eat corn at a relatively fast speed while 2017 commentary music plays in the background is one of the most quality pieces of film I've ever seen
Gotta love how literally not even a minute in: We got this whale literally covering for them all when she refuses being able to actually interview people when its a convention: What is this, 1940's Berlin?
If he only said it once he might be able to say that it was a hypothetical in regards to eating meat, but he has consistently held the option that it's completely ok to bang animals and that he totally doesn't do it, but if he did it would be fine.
I think those people overreacted because they've had to deal with way too many people going into conventions to harrass people. RU-vid "pranksters" are the most common example. There was a douchebag who went around s*xually harrassing furries. This doesn't excuse them kicking the guy out, but it's an explanation.
It's more that they wanna keep out of sight and out of mind... atleast the community leaders do. People forget the furry community has a lot more sexual degenerates and people who should be in jail, but many of these communities like to make it seem the problems aren't as bad as they are.
@@rorrim0 To be fair all communities have degens that are often protected. The anime community has this problem too. Too many people want to avoid drama altogether when it would just be better to ban these people as soon as evidence is shown. I say this as a furry myself. Animal/Child abusers get away too much unless they draw a ton of attention like Kero. It's the people in power who want to avoid the drama while normal people often call the degens out.
But they can't kick out predators and zoos? Growly attends like half of these conventions and is friends with the leaders. Sounds like they just don't want people to discover how creepy they are
@@neighbor472I mean I'd agree and disagree. As I don't have the imo insane mentality that inherently sexual things are inherently evil or even messed up: But also I recognize that such interests are often, and sadly hard to see the extremes that can begin to creep in with having certain tastes. Part of the reason I've been a bit more of anti-furry furry lately.
@@emilywenig4390 look man I get I understand but I not too many other "degenerate" communities are also known for shit diapers on people's cars or for having their community leaders tell people please stop acting stupid you're making us look bad
I'm really sick of furry people being like, "no this isn't us they don't represent us" when fucked up shit happens in their conventions and groups. And it's always their leaders.
And that it's been like this from the start really. Down the Rabbit hole is a furry, so potentially bias, but his video on the origins of modern furries is a good watch.
Furries throw stones inside of the glass house they live in, and act shocked when it all tumbles down. Well, that and projecting about other communities.

Unrelated, I always find it funny how weeaboos got normalized in society when they have all the same flaws as furries. Heck, I remember a time when weeaboos were treated identically to furries outside of /a/.
Nah you can be a casual weeb and watch anime and not be a complete degenerate because you're a fan of an existing property that you can find at literally any hot topic. Furries aren't fans of anything or mainstream, they just get into the fandom cause they wanna bang anthros. Im not trying to defend the convention because clearly I was not there nor a huge majority of the people here, however I can kind of see theis situation in both perspectives, you cant sit here and be ignorant to the fact that it's a common thing for bloggers outside of the furry fandom to go to furry conventions and harass people, there are several videos of people doing this as of recent as the fandom itself has become more mainstream, I would not be shocked if at this convention there was a blogger harassing people and they got mistaken for doing so. Due to the fact that majority of theses bloggers have the same 1 note kind of persona as the blissfully ignorant urban person entering into a convention space, and acts totally shocked while asking people uncomfterbale questions or surface level stuff because they're going itno this space completely blind after seeing 1 or 2 videos of furrys rather it be on youtube or tiktok, it's almost uncanny... Idk what the hype about bloggers going to furry cons as of recent and harassing people, but theses people sadly were roped into that category, You can tell by the tone in the staff member that they've clearly dealt with people like this before, and are fed up with it. Sorry to say my guy but if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes, just go to a furry convention and act normal af, no need for this internet persona. Also, imagine making surface level judgements about people and being shocked when they do the same thing right back at you, However the staff member is at fault too they should have treated the situation mature and actually asked questions and not just kick the guy out.
As a furry representing the community we apologize for these snowflakes behaviors and their faces will be remembered to know what they behave like at cons and hopefully not be hired at cons again and we would love if you come to a furry con and interview some of us!
tom dark the kind of guy to take his girlfriend to olive garden, order corn, show his girl friend the cob after every bite, maintaining eye contact while he eats it, until she gets fed up and leaves.
My guess is that fondling Horse Trisha's tits was probably what sounded the alarm since the staff confronted them immediately after that interaction. From an outside perspective it probably looked like harrassment. Either way, it's bizarre how the staff behaved and treated them. The old dude with the tail that ripped off Brandon's lanyard is just asking to get hit. Really fucked up that it started out good and ended with Brandon hiding in a dumpster.
It's funny. Furries were the punching bag for nearly a decade. They seem tame in comparison to what's freely available to be seen now. But since the spotlights been off of them they've grown bolder. Makes me miss the simple shit of vampire freaks and others.
2 replies but 1 person? sus- also I agree! I'm kind of a furry (I have no idea at this point) and all of the cool people I met aren't like that, hopefully all gets better
The AC con staff were on some major BS for how they did Brandon dirty. The dude was respectful, the fursuiters weren't uncomfortable and the Brandon's crew was actually chill. For the con staff, I get their wary attitude. You have these, young, dumb clout chasers and so-called "pranksters" whose intent is to get booted out of a furcon by making fools out of themselves and attendees by asking stupid/inappropriate questions, filming in places that are off-limits and harrassing people just for views and content to pander to the furry hating crowd. So in the perspective of con staff, I understand that it's kind of hard to let your guard down when you have a potential guest who is looking for trouble. It still doesn't justify disrepecting and kicking Brandon and his crew out though. I'm sure that there are other furcons that would welcome Brandon with open arms though. But if he decides not to go to another furcon, I wouldn't blame him.
I’m from Pittsburgh I went to this conversation on mushrooms in 2012. Was geekin the whole time. You know how craze it is to have furries look at you like your the weird one!
brandons video just made furrys look like people just having fun but the secruity makes it look like they doin some secret stuff at the end of the event
I'm gonna guess that due to the stigma, furries tend to keep a low profile even when mingling among other furries. That means no "excessive" recordings of what happens in these conventions. Therefore, it didn't matter how nice Brandon and the gang were being to everyone. To the staff, it seemed out of place and looked more like they're just doing it for content that would lead to unwanted exposure. Them being outsiders and making that obvious to everyone probably sealed the deal.
Furries and flamethrowers are a match made in heaven. Everybody wins and no one is going to declare warcrimes since furries consider themselves, well different to say the least.
