I’ve never seen someone get beat up with words before 😮

I've seen this video so many times and it still drives home the point that we need to be leaders and build processes. Especially being on the end of Brandon giving you a teaching moment, it is tough realizing you don't know everything. It's being open to learning and evolving that makes a successful business.

First of all great editing. Intro. Music choice, outro. Etc. Really pulled us into the tightness in the air. Second. Major kudos to Brandon for trying to teach WHILE making an example out of this guy. Loved his comment about energy and it being the thing you really need to learn to control especially in a situation where you’re hiring. In this case you can tell Brandon’s energy was being refined because the “CFO” was lying to his face. THAT right there was the most ninja thing I’ve seen yet. Talking about something while ACTIVELY doing it and simultaneously teaching about it. Wow! Finally, respect to “the boss” for yanking the hook on this guy. It made HIM look horrible, made his company look bad and yet was still respectful enough to the others in the room to realize this was not the best use of Brandon’s time or anyone else’s for that matter. I feel for the “CFO” too because I know at one point we all have had this moment as children or young adults where “we’re caught.” Unfortunately this was clearly beaten into him in this moment as an adult and I pray he’s learned from this and received his “come to Jesus” moment where he just needs to be honest and execute. Others may bash the former CFO but I for one am rooting for a bad ass phoenix story. THAT would be 10X. Would be a shame for him to feel the pain of all of this and never receive the reward from learning from it and executing against it. Looking forward to his future story, where he goes next and what he’s able to accomplish with honesty, integrity and grit.

That was so hard to watch I almost couldn’t get through the 9th time

I see what you did. You put the guy under pressure on purpose to see how well he handled it. If you’re someone who can turn a business from 0-12 million like he said he did, then as a person you bring to the table a lot of confidence and take initiative to get the job done. You don’t let static effect you. You don’t play victim and blame others. He broke under pressure very quickly. Once you let emotions and negativity get to you, it changes all your decisions. Big no, no. You can’t be second in line to a multi million dollar company and let emotions make your decisions. That’s a red flag for setting up for failure, for the company and yourself.
