Sir you're truly one in 7 billion. The skill, the simplicity and the grace you carry when you teach is only from God. Not only is it a flood of wisdom made easy to understand. It's also incredibly calming. What a blessing to us all. ❤🧡
Sean is a gift to gospel music community. His "transcriptionist" approach to explain, articulate, demonstrate and appropriate his understanding to music theory makes the art of gospel music so beautiful. My level is very basic but my appreciation for theory is deep as I recognize it can unlock purpose, creativity and the inner voice of music within a person as blessed with hearing from above. Thanks Sean. Grateful to experience your approach. You are moved and wowed by the very material you share.
True story: Jesus: Dad, I need help with this gospel transcription! God: Get Sean Wilson to do it! He’s better than me! Sean is an amazing teacher. Simple explanations and accurate transcriptions! It’s nice to have a calm RU-vidr not yell at you with their explanations! I’ve learnt so much from him.
I’m really impressed with how you understand what’s being played🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. I use to play at one point, never understood what I was playing though lol. Great channel!
Mannnnn Brandon came and filled in on mains at Empowerment Temple years ago, I was on organ…..I swear at some point in the first song of praise and worship, I was mind fucked…..and I didn’t know what to play anymore without sounding goofy next to his chords 😂😂😂😂……the man is sooo good and the Tye album he played on was Tye’s best album ever in my opinion
Hey Sean amazing video as always. I've always been curious why you have your ratings turned off? I feel so many people would click "thumbs up" on your videos, which would only help boost your views through the RU-vid algorithm. (More thumbs up = move views). That of course leads to more traction to your RU-vid channel and programs you offer! I always click thumbs up on these videos, even though the likes/dislikes aren't viewable. Just been curious why you have these ratings turned off.
Basically just leaving out the fifth of whatever chord you're playing, e.g. C7 voiced as c e bb(1 3 b7) You can do that as it's not a guide tone(or color tone) so it's not necessarily needed for the chord quality
