He was Gen X's version of Heath Ledger. Someone who was just starting out in the acting world, had his own future ahead of him, was taken all too soon by unfortunate circumstances, and will forever be remembered for the one role that solidified his legacy at the age of 28.
@vintageretro83 the millennial generation began in 1980, and lasted until 1995. Gen Z is the start of 2000, but you might as well include 98 and 99, since they wouldn't be much older. but Heath is a 70's baby, and the 70's wasn't called Gen X, and you can't call the 80's that, because it's not.
I am now 45 years old, this video just made me shed a tear like I was 14 and remember the day this happen , this broke me as I grew up , relating to Brandon Lee, 1st gen ABC , learning Wing Chun , Chinese Kung Fu, and my favorite band was STP ... The Crow WAS and IS a classic that they should have left alone... Forever Bruce & Brandon Lee RIP! thank you for my childhood
Linda Lee went through a lot she buried her husband and history has a strange way of repeating itself is she buried a son nobody should have to do that I wouldn't even wish that on my worst enemy and another loan heard about it Sylvester Stallone took it personally when that happened it affected him to because come to think of it when you watch all Sylvester Stallone movies I wonder is he really cautious what he's filming these movies like when he made the movie Expendables nowadays people got to be really careful when it comes to making movies and TV shows and stuff like that it's crazy
@@ratcapricorn1895 it is negligence on the part of miramax if you watch that piece of footage if you only heard what Sylvester Stallone said about it he took it personally when it happened to Brandon and I just hope Sylvester Stallone be really careful when he makes more movies like that he was on he was making that movie demolition Man with Wesley Snipes somebody or a friend told Sylvester Stallone what happened to Bruce Lee's son and he was mad and he was just floored if you watch what he says you know what I'm talking about
As a 42 year old man, I vividly remember my dad introducing me to Bruce Lee movies in the late 1980's, and I instantly fell in love. Bruce Lee became one of my heroes. Then a few years later I discovered that his son was also an actor who did martial arts. I watched "Show Down In Little Tokyo" and just as I did with his father, I fell in love. "Rapid Fire" was one of my favorite action movies growing up. I just knew he was going to be a MEGA STAR!! I was so excited to learn of the movie "The Crow", because at that time, thanks to my older cousins, I was into that dark (goth) stuff and the music associated with it. I remember learning of Brandon Lee’s passing, that was the first time I had ever cried over the death of someone I didn’t know. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to believe it. At that time my father worked as a prop maker for Paramount Pictures and he got in contact with a buddy of his who got me a "The Crow" movie poster, an original print, mint condition. It was professionally mounted and framed. Till this day, it's STILL hanging up in my house. 30yrs later, still mint, and Brandon is still my hero. RIP.
I was 19 when this tragedy happened and saw the movie in the theater. My friends and I lost it at the end when they showed “For Brandon and Eliza” before the credits rolled. Brandon was days away from marrying his fiancée Eliza when he died. I think remaking this amazing movie would be disrespectful to Brandon Lee’s memory. He gave his life for this movie and there will never be another Eric Draven.
I was almost 18 when this movie came out, and having been a huge Bruce Lee fan all my life, was stunned when Brandon died during filming. There are no words to convey what it felt like to watch this film, knowing that Brandon had died on set. The film was already so dark, but knowing he lost his life cast an even darker ambience over it.
Brandon’s death hit me hard because unlike his dad where there were a lot of conspiracy theories of evil doing early on it became extremely obvious that this was negligence that could have been avoided by so many people that clearly loved him
That was that one person in this life that love them so much Brandon Lee's fiance Eliza they were looking so forward to getting married and having children did have a son or a daughter that have been cool you know but that never happened
Given what happened to Brandon Lee during the making of The Crow, I think the best way Hollywood could honor Brandon Lee is just leave The Crow alone. No more reboots, no more sequels. Just leave it be.
@@ckotcher1 I know all about it, bud. All these awful sequels and absurd attempts at a reboot that's all been panned ripped to shreds by critics and fans alike are a sure fire sign that I'm right. They need to just leave it alone.
Amen! The Crow has been my favorite movie for 30 years. I didn't mind them doing sequels, there are a BUNCH of Crow stories to pick from. Including one with a female Crow character, which would be a great idea for a movie. I even found things to like in the sequels, and even the TV show. (I'm the type to look for things I like, rather than dislike.) But the reboot? JUST WRONG. I won't vent, but I could for pages. Considering how they changed the story, why not just make him another CHARACTER?
@@therockforlife2023stfu up already stop trolling you lame asf it’s not hitting nobody laughing you in every comment saying something weird get a life 😂
I remember where I was when it happened I was getting out of high school when I heard the news and it was all over the radio the crow made a lot of money at the box office and the sad part is he's not around to enjoy his success just like his dad Bruce Lee never saw the finish answer the dragon made a lot of money too as well it's just so sad didn't deserve this
Don’t worry about coming off as sensitive my man, true strength is being able to embrace your feelings. It just means you have a heart. Brandon’s death always makes me dreadfully sad when I think about it.
The Crow (the original one of course!) is one of my favorite films and Brandon Lee is my favorite actor! I grew up in the 90's and when I heard that he died, it literally broke my teenage heart... RIP Brandon Lee and his father. Why good people die young???
I remember the first time I watched The Crow at my Stepdad’s family’s house back when I was in 5th grade and i thought the movie was so awesome and remember I kept saying “how good the actor for Eric is” and then that’s when my stepdad told me the story of what happened”. That was around 2006 and ever since then, every time I watch The Crow, i always feel a sense of sorrow knowing this was both Brandon’s breakout role and also his last role
I used to believe that it was the Armorer’s job to check the gun, period. But Clooney is right. The actor should do the final check to make sure that the gun is ok to fire.
It's the armorer's job to check the guns on a set. Irony is, the armorer of The Crow pretty much left the set same night. As for self checking guns, it pretty much started after Brandon's death.
Clooney only said that "because" of this particular incident. Brandon's death most likely saved more lives in the future from negligence (Unless you're Alec Baldwin)
Brandon talking about the character and everyone having a year to deal with your death, and then having him pass and them completing the movie a year later is very eerie. Add to that he died 3 weeks before his wedding and the characters dying in the movie shortly before their wedding.
That was so sad news about the passing of a legend . Brandon lee we will always miss the 2 amazing actor Brandon lee and the legend bruce lee 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
I remember the sad day he died. The screen actors guild and motion picture association said they will never let this happen again, ever. They lied. It happened on the set of Rust.
For anyone who has had gun training, the #1 rule is never point a barrel @ anyone. During this whole video, that's all that I see is barrels being pointed @ people (while not filming).
Why was The Crow remade. This was Brandon”s legacy. He gave so much to the role including tragically his life. Thank you Brandon gone but never ever forgotten RIP.
I don't think I ever felt love for anyone outside my family but even though we never met before love you Bruce and Brandon think about you guys all the time. You both have made a big impact in my life, take care of each other. Will never forget and no one could ever replace you guys.
Brandon Lee had so much potential and talent. And he seemed to be such a wholesome guy. His death still stings 31 years after his tragic death. As imperfect of a movie The Crow can be considered, Brandon really made his character shine through in a magnificent manner.
Probably as bad or worse than the Freddy movie that came out with out Robert England playing the part. Stop doing remakes they suck and will never live up to the original movie. I watch one remake of something years ago it was crap never watched another and all those terrible movies made from the 70's and early 80's TV series they made a joke out of them. Holly Wood is getting lazy tons of books out there make something from them.
@@daviddoyle8956 There are plenty of amazing remakes out there that not only honor the original but sometimes surpass it. A remake can be fantastic if it improves upon the original through modern filmmaking techniques while still respecting the source material. Making a remake is a challenge because it needs to retain the essence of the original, evoke the same nostalgia, and still appeal to newer generations of audiences. Some standout remakes include *The Fly*, *Dune*, *The Departed*, *The Thing*, *The Jungle Book*, *It*, *War of the Worlds* (a better version compared to the 1953 film), *The Mummy*, *Twelve Monkeys*, and *Blade Runner 2049* (one of the best remakes out there).
I was born in 1997 and always connected with Brandon while growing up watching his films. Years later it still boggles me that we lost a once-in-a-generation star that could have taken over Hollywood if he and his father weren't eliminated too young. There is definitely something more to it.
This movie is an occult classic that should be in a volt. The new film is a blatant disrespect to the family of Brandon, and Bruce Lee. There shouldn't have been a remark . Rest in peace 🙏🏻 🕊 . The iconic film was only meant to be made once , and end with Bruce Lee. Rip Bruce Lee.
@@therockforlife2023Yet here you are again commenting about something you say you don’t care about. You spend so much of your time commenting on this video that you “don’t care about” 🤦🏻♂️
Re-doing my comment. There is a difference between what happened on The Crow, and on Rust. Regardless, two innocent lives were lost over a pile of horrible mistakes. I think it's disgusting though on how Hollywood decided to reboot The Crow. Given that what the original cast, and his family went through to complete the original in Brandon's memory.
How it's different? In both cases innocent lives were taken because of Armorer's and crew's negligence 😑 only difference there is that in case of the Brandon no one was charged or held responsible, other than that both cases are quite similar.
@@TviTNineeKikson They are similar, but the actions of others are different. Brandon wasn't holding the gun, and Alec was. Brandon's case was taken to court, but because there were so many at fault, it was settled out of court.
I came across the soundtrack to the original 1993 film 9 years ago & it was so good. “Golgotha Tenement Blues” by Machines of Loving Grace is the stand-out and I am disappointed I didn’t discover that & this legendary film any sooner. May Brandon’s soul rest in peace.
Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless. RIP Brandon Lee 😢
We love you Brandon, everyone who meet him still remember him with so much love, everyone who saw his films still remember you those moments are very emotional when we remember him, Bruce and Brandon are two stars who will never be never forgot, real love is forever, we love you Eliza,Shannon,Linda, Wren 💗 🙏 💫

What hurts most is the loved ones' mother and sister, mostly mom, to live this out twice in her life, losing the 2 of the people you love more than anything 💔
I still remember being in middle school so heart broken at his death. I’m so glad to see the industry paying some much deserved respect to his memory ❤❤
My thoughts and prayers are with Linda Lee Shannon and Shannon Brandon Lee's sister I should not have happened to him randomly was so young it should not have happened to him when I think about March 31st I think about the day that he died they're both gentle spirits and date there are in heaven and there with each other now those who are in a better place and they're watching Linda from a better place
I've seen a million videos about all my favorite deceased celebrities including Bruce and Brandon Lee. But I still love watching them. Plus their memories need to be kept alive
unbelievable tragedy. Absolute classic movie, to think what sequels with him would have been like. He had a career ahead of him. That bloodline seems cursed
Hard to believe Brandon Lee's passing was 31 years ago already he was such an amazing actor it's sad that he was killed onset he's been gone 31 years and I still miss his acting he was too young to die and didn't deserve to die 😢 💔
The fact that there's adults that weren't alive when he was killed now makes me feel old....the fact i grew up watching his father's movies, i wasnt alive when his father died and im almost 50 makes me feel like time flies smh
I was 6 or 7 when Brandon was shot, and it's one of my earliest memories. The Crow and Rapid Fire are two great action movies. He might not have passed his father in the martial artist but he would have been a bigger movie star.
As a major Bruce Lee fan as a kid, I was 12 when he died, my dad showed me in the newspaper the news of his death. I still have the newspaper clipping in my scrapbook.
It must be hard losing a husband and a son who were on a verge to make it big Hollywood. Brandon death comes as a certain reminder and warning that we should be careful of the certain weapons and props that we are using on set cuz it can cause major damage someone who is in the wrong place and the wrong time.
Happened so long ago but still just as heartbreaking. To think what could have happened to Brandon’s career. He’s so good in the movie I think he really would reached that upper echelon. RIP Brandon.
Wow. So impressed with Mama Lee being so strong after her husband's death and then her son's. Her strength helped her kids cope and understand the death of their father. That's the best gift a parent can give to their children.
I got a chill in thinking, if Massey took so much guilt which he felt for shooting Brandon in the stomach (something he should never have felt, but he unfortunately did) I think part of him, finding out he himself would later have stomach cancer, he may have had a passing thought "This is my punishment for shooting Brandon in the stomach." If I felt guilt, that thought would cross my mind, but I hope he didn't. It wasn't his fault.
@rockforlife why are you leaving hateful and unwarranted replies to peoples comments? Are you that miserable and unloved in your own life? Have a good night

I never forget when I heard the news of his passing. It seemed unbelievable, because he was in rapid fire and now he was doing interviews about the crow, then weeks after he passed.
Brandon had 3 blood transfusions but the damage was to severe even if he had lived his spinal cord was fractured he probably would never walk again or even worse end up like Christopher Reeve
