Motion capture is a criminally underrated art form and it needs a lot more attention and respect. Movie actors most of the time have sets prepared that are worth millions, making it easier to get into the moment, these guys have to perform as good without fancy outfits and cool sets, just some spandex and a few cardboard boxes.
mo cap actors are akin to Shakespearean actors - they have to make the most of the very least that they are given, being able to create a believable performance using nothing but their charisma and prompt given (an incredibly difficult craft). You, sir, have mastered this art form and have earned my deep respect.
I think he spins parts of it around at times. The jump cuts here may also be spliced from various takes. Could be a few things, really. Good spot tho! I completely missed it until I read this.
Hey Brandon :) As you know, I really love all the fantastic work that you do. I hope that one day in the future when Destiny has ended, we get either a full length video of early versions of the games showing original story elements or even a book. I haven’t loved a game series like this in a very long time, so finding out more about it in various stages would be mindblowing. It could be called, Unseen Destiny :D So thank you for doing your part and bring so many Characters to life, especially my bro Uldren. Looking forward to what’s next! Lastly, TRAVELLERS CRACK! :D

Love the belly they gave you for Spider, and the shoulder pad for Zavala xD Spider was so much fun to watch. I always thought the voice actors were the ppl in the mocap suits. So like I thought Nathan strapped on a mocap suit every time Cayde had a scene or Riddick strapped on the suit for all of Zavala's scenes. Idk why, I just never thought about the mocap suit actors and the VA being different
This is pretty cool - just saw it. I noticed that they seem to be using facial capture as well. Is that why there are lip sync issues all over the place? The lips don't match up the voice exactly because even though the mocap actor is saying the words, he is not exactly synchronized with the voice actor? Although they would need to do something dynamic for other languages, so it's still a bit confusing.
This hasn't really answered the question on how the second pair of arms of the Eliksni are animated but hey. I at least know the spider held a rubiks cube.
