Also this season's 'Maximal Malhari' dance emote is incredible. Maybe I'm biased cause I'm Indian and it's sourced from a Bollywood movie, but the emote has so many steps and is so well performed.

Yes!! Cutscenes are some of my favorite things in Destiny! And to have so many amazing ones really made the story of Witch Queen stand out.

The fact that they made the Witch Queen of such high quality from home shows the leap and bounds they did to bring us a visual masterpiece, as well as a story telling masterpiece. If this doesn't win a game award next year, then I'll consider it a crime.

This is not even close to desserving a prize, sure its good but not THAT good. They did it from home, so what? Did not everyone else with other jobs also work from home and managed just fine? Pandemic is just a way to excuse delays, they did a decent job and thats it, nothing more.

The animation for the very last cutscene of the expansion was incredible. Leads terrifically into Lightfall next year. I know it was CGI but still animated beautifully.

@@gavo7911 in your personal opinion it might not be the best dlc, but it’s overwhelmingly considered the best by the community, poles usually go 70% TTK 30% WOTM and the rest are good (some not) but don’t live up. This expansion is good but nothing special imo, better than their previous DLCs but that’s nothing to write home about. We’ll see how fun the raid is and I’ll properly form my opinion, you are right the raid isn’t out so I shouldn’t compare. It’s also generally just aesthetics and missions and exotic weapons that were better in TTK > WQ

@@noahhkun5097 Witch Queen has a better aesthetic, WAY better campaign and story, better villain, better gameplay, better everything. Dude I love TTK, but it's time to let go. We're in a new era of Destiny, one that far eclipses even the glory days of D1.

There’s no objectively best raid in the game, every raid is someone’s genuine favourite same for expansions. In my Opinion, I found a few missions in TTK boring. None of the missions of WQ have bored me honestly.

The nastolgic gamers have seen your comment lol. Taken King and forsaken are not as good as this guys just admit it. More loot, better acting and execution of story. Missions where very fun and didn't feel painful to survive in the highest difficulty. And the atmosphere is phenomenal. This is only the first week of launch and the raid isn't even out yet. Plenty more content to experience then ttk year long drought

God I love mocap and just the idea of being able to almost perfectly represent your real world movements into the game. It’s why I invest so much in full body vr and having a tracker for every part of the body. One day I hope I can get a proper mocap suit, but those suckers are crazy expensive.

You guys did great work, and under those constraints even more impressive. Many thanks to Rachel too because the hug emote is my favorite, most used emote. I seldom play around my daughters but when I do they always want to see if I can get another player to hug me back. Guardians are good people because they always do. :D

This is wild - I just passed a few of these scenes in game and was blown away - our fireteam kept talking about how much the cinematics had really grown with the story to this point. I really didn't stop to think about how the scenes were shot or the people doing the motion capture. Fantastic work. This is amazing!

I love those kind of insight videos, and its amazing how you can do all this stuff with mo-cap. Btw, I’d love to see more TWICE dance emotes like the Beguiling Dance (which I still don’t have…)!

This has potential to be one of the best destiny years yet. There is still to come with 2 new dungeons and the raid. Also there is good seasonal content to look forward to also since savathuns goast is still alive it could be interesting to see where that goes! Overall this is one of the best expansions yet.

Probably one of the most underrated features that Destiny 2, is the possibility to interact with other players with emotes. Dancing alone or that ones that needs some interaction. It's is fun and sometimes you are caught yourself just hanging around the tower and dancing or whatever.

What is the Truth? Y’all made one of the best campaigns to date. You played on the best moments from every thing in Destiny, first going into the ship I had just started chanting the fact that I felt like I was on the dreadnaught. Also the fact that Ikora was recorded on basically a bunch of old pizza boxes had me laughing my heart out. Thank y’all for the amazing stories and moments you give us.

How do they get the mocap data when the actors are acting from home? Is it rotoscoped or just reference footage? There were no retroreflective markers on the actors in many of the shots.

Definitely the best expansion yet imo. Fantastic job bungie!!! Very impressed this was all done from home! Many companies have kept making excuses about working from home and their unfinished games, but you guys seem to have taken it in stride and made it work well.

Honestly didn’t think it was possible to top forsaken, at least not Bungie alone and especially not from working at home. But here we are, and I’ve got to say so far this expansion is rivaling forsaken. It’s got it beat in terms of story in my opinion.

Our cat lost her eyes at a very young age and we had to wait to get her in surgery to sew them shut. We named her Eris. She lives up to the name and has an attitude like the character haha.
