Braum is like Medic in tf2. Everyone loves him, great personality and design, but no one plays him cause no damage (unless you get a melee crit)

I think what makes Braum so loved by everyone is that it's very obvious that he is aware of his status as a living legend, but that doesn't stop him from living up to that legend. What I mean to say is, he's proud without ego. He loves and cares for everyone and everything, and he's completely sincere about that. Hell, Pyke straight up told Braum in the Ruined King game that there was no chance Braum would end up on his list. Pyke said that. It's insane.

Braum's perfect for the role he's been made for (defensive tank more focused on peeling instead of engage so idk why he'd need more damage, maybe give his passive after proccing stun to allies?) and players would rather play someone proactive than reactive which is fine! The meta shifts and new characters come in it was a matter of time until Braum gets overlooked but he's definitely one of League's most popular and recognizable champs!

Honestly i think the easiest way to make him more popular is to make his W a regular dash that can be used without targeting anything, and it gives Armor and MR to every ally in a small area. I also agree that his ult could be stronger, maybe it could apply his passive to everyone it hits?

Honestly Braum is one of my favorite supports for his sheer focus on peeling and protecting teammates. Very satisfying to W in front of someone who's nearly dead and save their life by just pressing E to block whatever is about to hit them. Drop an ult to get assassins off your ADC. It's fun.

Braum Mid, an all time classic. You will forever be missed old wits end... May sunfire cape still live on.

While support Pantheon had some similarities with Braum, his big issue is that he's a reactive champion. He's good when people dive into him but sucks playing proactive. Most popular support have a way create plays by themselves (think of Thresh, Pyke, even Lux) but Braum relies on either the enemy or somebody else engaging. He also has to compete with enchanters as the "protect the president" role on the team, which consequently also do super well into him (he struggles against range in general). Finally, he also has too much overlap with Taric as the melee protector support, which tends to win even harder the matchups they excel, giving even less reasons to play Braum. His design just has too many issues with the way people play his role in the current era of League; he can't play proactive and he isn't the best at playing reactive.

One thing they could do on his ult is to make it apply his passive. I honestly don't know why it's not a "Braum's abilities" passive, but specifically only his autos and Q. It would make landing a good ult feel so much better because of the stuns you get afterwards.

I main Braum. He has so many issues. First of the issue: no one knows how Braum works with his passive. I have ADCs that doesn't know how to engage with Braum passive. It's super frustrating. Second issue: the rise of mobility champs. Braum gets kited hard as hell because Riot decides to create mobility champs that outscales everybody. Third issue: his ultimate (R) has a weird and clunky knockup towards the end. What I mean is, where it lands at the edge of the ultimate the enemy either gets knocks up or it slows them. Such a weird bug and clunky way for an ultimate. What makes Braum great is that he provides a unbreakable shield that blocks everything (except CCs IE Zyra ultimate, Galio ultimate). He also can provide Armor/MR resist when he jumps to someone(or himself). I love Braum, but he's in a sh1t spot because Riot doesn't know how to balance their champs, I'm talking to you Zeri/Yuumi/Milo/Samria/Aatrox. I don't agree that Braum needs a damage buff. I just think he needs a different ultimate (R) or keep it and change how it impacts the teamfights.

I love Braum, but the problem in League when it comes to tank supports is that they are meant to provide CC with lack of damage, and most people want to do damage, even as a support. Since he only has 2 damaging abilities (and a passive that barely deals any damage at all), Braum doesn't feel like he does much of anything in fights, even if his E shield can completely win a fight on its own. If Braum ever needed a rework, they would have to give his E and passive more stuff that it can do, such as the passive having an AOE explosion effect or the E doing a push attack at the end of the duration that also applies stacks of his passive.

braum has actually ornns door. in lor ornn says to braum "give me back my door" or "is, is that my vault door" Also personally, some braum buffs would be that to apply his passive on his r and have his passive deal more bonus damage. Not a lot but like, maybe have his passive scale with health or armor.

No one understands how Braum works imo, especially the shield. The amount of free kills from turret dives after they do no damage on first hit to the shield is wild.

However, as punishment for cheating the vault was made so impenetrable that not even the troll king could get in. years later, Braum needs to save a child, he sees the big door and thinks yeah that'll do, so he destroys the mountain around the door to get it off its hinges and picks it up, all casual like

braum was my first ever main, he's probably my 3rd highest mastery champ but I haven't played him in years, he's amazing in comps with his peeling so they absolutely gutted his ult by making the knockup increasingly scale by distance

Braum used to be more popular, but nowadays most new adcs have a lot more mobility and defensive options. Compared to the start of the game, Riot releases a lot more Assasins, Marksmen, Skirmishers and Enchanters than anyhting else. Because that's what's popular i guess.

I think Braum could use a small buff. One idea would be that whenever an ally is close to him or gets protectet by his shield they could get a small cooldown reduction. Nothing big but something to prevent him from beeing so similar to Pantheon

His shield is a super cool ability, i want the shield darkin to basically rip the idea but use it for offence

he needs an update to his passive, Q, and Ult. I would say make his Q two/3 hits instead, put his passive on his Q and give him a new one that either gives him more resistances or some health regen. His Ult needs to do a massive nock up to everyone it hits and put Q mark on everyone who touches it. You don't need to give him damage and you don't need to give him a complete rework. He just needs a modern update to his abilities.

One of Braum's shortcomings as an ex-Braum main i would name his passive. The stun is great and it really sells the idea that you work together with your adc, but since you usually need two people to effectively proc one stun it just falls flat. I still love playing Braum, but people sometimes just pick on me for not doing anything for the team when the marksman just didn't hit the last auto and it cost us a potential trade and I'd much rather play something where i actually feel in control of the situation, rather than hoping for the best from my teammates. Stay strong!

I love braum because there is nothing world changing about his lore or some grand plan about it, he is just a nice dude and nothing else, he doesn't need anything more than that like a certain group of reoccurring characters that Riot love. His actions is not something formed by the action of another character in the lore or world event that will tie him in to another event or have any grand schemes of another character blah blah blah riot story board fluff. He is the way he is because of the of the one thing 99% of us can share, our parents teaching us right from wrong and in the cesspool characters with tragic backstories or no backstories this is one that is perfect. However on one hand i think there should be more to braum's lore like more of the small but meaningful things he really did do other than a lot of stories of what people think he did. But the other is that Riot might make it worst and losing all of what made braum great by turning him into another grand anime main character feeling and ruined the fact that he is just a nice strong dude.

I love the little scream immediately after saying you couldn't be killed. Peak streamer vibes, there. Braum is so wholesome that I wonder whether he was an attempt to make League less toxic. Like, he's a super popular champ everyone likes who really exemplifies positive masculinity (I am strong, therefore I protecc) and they put him in a support role to see if they could get people to embrace that kinder approach to League. I imagine some would say that's a total failure if that was the plan, but I do think Braum's presence moves the needle a bit. Adding him to the game was a good decision and made the vibe of the game some incremental amount better.

imo incorporating Ornn's W passive for Braum on his Q and ult, it would make him a bit more interesting

I feel like it is very easy to understand why he is. He is way harder than most other supports to perform actually decently. Wardens aka protective tanks are usually unpopular because of how the game operates. Usually enchanters have the job to protect people and tanks to initiate fights or cc enemies. He is even more team dependant than any other tank support and your teammates actually need to have the knowledge of all your abilities except maybe Ult. Which also I always find the most underwhelming ability of Braum even back in his release.

The door wasn't made by a troll, it was made by Ornn FOR a troll. Not to question that the door could very well be bigger, but at the same time Braum also quite a bit smaller than his canon soize in the game, so Braum AND the door are scaled down a fair bit. Lastly, the door was not a door for a troll house or anything, but a vault door for the trolls treasures so it could very well be a bit smaller than the average troll door would be as to not draw too much attantion.

Door lore: Ornn (according to folktales) after being cheated out of winning a drinking contest by a troll, was asked to build an indestructible and impenetrable door to keep the troll's riches safe. Ornn did so, but, the door couldn't be opened by the troll either so it was just there, stuck forever until Braum punched away the surrounding mountain around it and got it out.

When Braum was released, I instantly feel that this is a champion that fit so much of my playstyle like standing in front of the adc to take skillshot. He still my pocketpick to this day whenever i go for rank or clash. I don't care if he not that popular to play and that's ok.

Braum was a menace for several months in LoR, back when Riot had that dumb idea to double his attack power.

This may be me misremembering things but I swear Braum's ult used to knock up champs for longer. I know right now the farther away a champ is the longer they're knocked up for but I think at some point it used to just be no matter what it knocked up for the full duration and they changed it because of something along the lines of they didn't like people just running up point blank and hitting ult.

I love Braum, I love playing Braum, he is my highest mastery champion, so this all comes from a place of love. But he really needs more AD, like he really lacks in the damage department. And it makes so much sense, he have big muscle, he can rip door out of wall with bare hands, why don't he do big damage?!

my guess as to why people dont play braum is that alot of people cant get into the headspace to enjoy braum properly, ive got mastery 7 on braum, after TK got reworked braum was my main driver in support and thats because i love the feeling of getting those clutch saves, putting my botlaner before me, making sure that my team is safe, basically playing how braum behaves in lore and i dont think alot of people can do that, especially high ranking players who have everything crunched to the numbers

People who play Braum know what they want, they know they are the protector and most mains will wear that with pride. I can't think of anything more satisfying than blocking an entire MF ult protecting your team. Pure bliss.

i think his gameplays actually in a good state, i think its okay that hes not super popular. a large part of his gameplay being where it is is *sad horn effect* pro play, he had crazy presence in pro for the longest time if my memory serves me, but now i think he is individually in a decent spot, i just dont think the meta loves him rn, but he fs has his place gameplay wise

As a support main, I don't enjoy playing Braum because he's awkward. He doesn't do a lot of damage, his abilities are slightly awkward to use, and he doesn't have an effective way of closing distance (which makes sense for his category of tank, Warden... essentially defense focused tanks). League is a game that favors aggression and capitalizing on enemy mistakes. Braum does not contribute much to that because he's focused on kiting and making sure that the enemy can't capitalize on HIS carry's mistakes, which, ideally, shouldn't be happening (We're talking about ideally, not practically. I get it, ADCs be doing some dumb shit, but that's not what we're talking about). So when you're picking champions, it makes more sense to pick the champ that also provides a lot of CC, but with more mobility like Leona.

I love playing braum and i have been a main for a long time. The biggest problem he is a counterpick champion his wr hasnt been high for a while and right now he is in a "good spot" at 50% exactly. But in enchanter meta he is just really bad and often drops to 42% wr. If you pick nautilus or a warden against me you will 100% face my braum. Edit an other problem is that every buff you give him kinda makes him broken in pro play because he requires a decent team comp with multiple people who stack his passive fast. And ofcourse the very high value of just tanking everything that goes his way in teamfights.

I think if Braum did have more damage output, people would liked him less, 'cause his theme is big kind _protector_, and dealing damage is not align well with that kind of fantasy. Pantheon tells you to stand back up, Braum asks you to. He's here to hold the weight of world, not to demolish it.

Braum is that type of champion I wish champ designers made more of, because he has unique ability kit, unique and funny personality and requires players' last 2 braincells in order to be played semi-decently, but isn't super complex either. Instead they keep making support champs that make the support role be a joke in players' eyes even further.

Looks like he went to the shire, broke into their vault, and took the door. Support role in low elo is more the mindset of "best way to defend my adc is popping their adc" why bring a shield when you can bring a shotgun.
