Me to the video: "Where the heck am I gonna find a guitar pick?" Also me, 5 minutes later (at the junk drawer): "Where did I get this guitar pick?" Worked like a charm! Power switch had become dislodged from the casing. Googled "how to open Braun trimmer", and *poof" there's your video. Took 30 seconds to open, 15 seconds to fix, 5 minutes to clean. Thanks, man!

I have a similar version with the only difference being an adjustable knob above the power button. With this video I was able to clearly see where I should try to pry it apart with minimal damage. Inside was the same exact battery. I've placed an order for a replacement unprotected 14500 battery (shockli) from amazon.

Thanks for the disassembly tips, though my trimmer was an older model that had NiMh cells, i could replace them and now it works just fine !!

I guess mine is going in to the appliance recycling bin. I have the same one and ordered the same battery in this video. But mine has 2 smaller green batteries and they 'were' super stuck to metal plates on the top and bottom of each one. I broke one metal plate that connects to the red wire (oops). Tried fixing it, but it won't connect anymore. The batteries are named: SUPPO HS-AAA0 . 75 NIMH 1 .2V 1737

it is mentioned on it 750 mAh. but I think its hard to replace them since they are welded. you have to unsolder the batteries from the pcb and solder the replacements there.

Mine is identical, except it has two smaller AAA-sized batteries instead of one. They don't easily come out either.... the contacts are extremely tight, possibly soldered on, but can't tell. They're just unmarked green batteries too, so have no idea what type they are. Any ideas?

I just got the correct batteries with the welded on U tabs. I'm going to solder them to the board tomorrow. Slightly higher capacity too, so hopefully it will hold a charge for longer.

I have the same trimmer as well but unfortunately I somehow broke the terminal that was soldered on to one of the battery while removing it. Is there any way to fix it?? And is it safe to replace with higher capacity instead of 750mah (1.2v NiMH)? I originally planned to buy Duracell NiMH 750mah so that my charging time doesn't increase!

No, because it’s supposed to work under the water. There’s a protection so you don’t get hurt while doing so.

I tried to replace the battery according to this guide, but I accidentally switched the poles and put the battery in the opposite direction and the device stopped working. Is damaged the device or only battery? Is there any way to fix it?

There are several versions; the adjustable knob version is 5542, but there are several others that are all the same in design and disassembly. Good luck, it's great to replace batteries instead of throwing away things into a landfill.
