Guys... it's on sale at my local Costco for $99!!! Go check your local Costco now. This is the best price I've seen for a cleaning station and Braun series 8.

For the refill cartridges, it's cheaper to buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol with a bottle of distilled water, add a couple of drops of peppermint oil or oil of your choice. The ratio you want is 60/40, 60% distilled water to 40% rubbing alcohol.

Hi guys,,, for the cleaning cartridge, when you use it for your clean, replace the plastic cap after use and the solution won't evaporate and the cartridge will last longer.. Been doing this for years with my activator 360 model that I just replaced with the series 8. I hope I get 30 years out of this one.

I just got this and I have to agree with you on the Series 8. Cut good around the mouth area, but now the face/chin area.

Right?! I mean, I could probably get a clean shave if I mowed my skin like a madman in all directions but that would irritate my skin.

1- Ownership must remain intact (I own I do what I want with it). 2- The answer is to lease "worry Free- Maintenance included" for the 5 years that the product is in your possession. 3- Ownership with caveat, is no longer ownership.

Nice honest review. Surely the cleaning solution is not cheap. If one pack can’t last even a dozen cleanings then it’s not worth it. Will not buy. Thanks

Yeah it's a bit pricey with the solutions. I still use it almost everyday though but I clean it manually.

Hi, you're absolutely right, I also have the same problem, when it comes to shaving my neck this razor is not the best, and it cost me about two hundred or so euros on Amazon a year ago. I was thinking of getting the 9, do you think it's worth it or do you have the same problem?

I ended up using razors for my neck and this machine is still working well for my mustache area. One day I plan to try a more higher end model. Maybe the 9 or Panasonic high end series.

Looks great I have that item it works great for me the precision trimmer works for me and it’s somewhat better than a manual razor 🪒 but what’s that solution used for I don’t use that I clean it myself under water 💦

You're welcome, and yes it came pre-charged. I think the new model is out at Costco and it claims to cut much cleaner.

Hey man I will be buying the Braun Series 8 8417 proabbly tomorow what do you think ? Shall I buy somethink diffrent I think its the updated modelle of your shaver but 8417 doesnt have the auto cleaner Im fine with using normal water to clean it.

I'm still using mine, but I got tired of having to reseal the cleaning solution so it doesn't evaporate with my heater running in my house. I'll run it with some water to get hairs off and use alcohol to sanitize it. I use it on my face, but for the neck areas I still prefer using a blade after taking a shower.
