The Braun Series 9 Pro versus the Philips Norelco 9800. Which is better? They are both high-end shavers and both do a great job, but which one would I choose

Great vids I feel the Panasonic seems more quality but the norelco has really great reviews omg help. Probably maintenance and the ease of getting parts will make me lean one way. I would appreciate your advice thanks

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either. The Braun Series 9 Pro is just in a class of its own, but the price is high. I will say this, between the Norelco 9800 and the Panasonic ARC 5, I choose the Panasonic ARC 5. I should maybe make that video.

Its good to see a dry shave comparison and very helpful i think i will buy the 9 series but is there any difference in wet shaving?. Less irritation, closer? 0r just faster. There is a good deal on the 9385 for £180 with a cleaning station. Not the newest model but seems like a bargain. Normally a safety razor guy but hopefully this will be close enough.

The Braun Series 9 is a great shaver. It is as close as you can get to blade. I think it gets just as close. The Braun Series 9 (9400 series) has a slightly redesigned head to better accomodate 5-7 day beards, so if you plan to wait 5 days between shaves, the 9400 might be the way to go. I do not think wet shaving is any faster, but I think it feels smoother with less irritation.

I think the Braun Series 9 Pro gives the closest and most comfortable shave. However, I just got the Norelco S9000 Prestige, and it might be close. Anyhow, I don't think it is foil vs rotary. Both can give a good shave, and both get better the more you spend.
