To think that Yuzu has asthma and became and still is the GOAT of figure skating is just incredible. His courage and determination are truly unmatchable.
@@masa1319 У меня и без Гифта бывают приступы,я не представляю,как Юдзу выносит такие тяжелейшие физические нагрузки с такой отвратительной болезнью,как астма!!!
Bearing cold temperatures in the rink, perspiring a lot during training and competitions, his nervous tension, those things are favourable for his attack to develop. It's indeed despairing, not to be able to breathe. Yuzuru's both a champion and a hero. Regards from far Argentina. ❤
Yes exactly....when u r perspiring n inhaling cold air..it triggers a massive attack...he could go into a spasm as he is breathing heavily.... He has 2 b careful...😌🙏💐
As someone who wanted to be a dancer as a kid but developed physically induced asthma as I grew up and is now honestly kind of nervous about working out, attacks like this can be so, so terrifying and it's absolutely incredible how wildly talented he is and how much effort he has put in. I hope he stays healthy, asthma is no joke
As a person who has had asthma since birth and is now a professional dancer it's hard but possible. I take Levalbuterol which makes me less shaky than regular Albuterol before I work out or dance. Sometimes I'll even use my nebulizer the day before a show to make sure everything is open and clear. Also doing exercises to increase lung capacity, though they can be difficult and painful, are very helpful. I want to be clear that all of these things were recommended by my doctors and not just something random I did. There are still things I can't do like physical activity in the cold and pretty much any time the temperature is below 35° F it means I'm getting an asthma attack whether I like it or not and don't even get me started about when it's humid. Also even though I can dance in a 3 hour show with minimal breaks running is still hard. Asthma is scary but there are things you can do that will make your life easier and talk to your doctor bc I've found a lot of them like talking about how they can get you to work out more.
This was horrible to watch! Asthma is always dangerous! Not panicking and getting up to help breath Got him to assistance. Massive respect for this incredible artist and most accomplished skater! ❤❤❤❤❤
Nothing stops him. He is all about his fans, the ice and the music. Yuzuru will always have a smile on his face as long as he has these three things. Take care of yourself too. ❤❤❤❤
As someone who wanted to be a athlete and was a good runner until they got diagnosed with asthma it makes me happy to see him reach his dream even though he has asthma hope he stays healthy
As a asthma person, its really painful to watch someome having a asthma attack out of nowhere, but i know the experience cuz i have asthma too and its so hard to catch your breath cuz you will feel that something is blocking your airways that allows you to breath properly.
For me it doesn't usually feel like something's blocking my airways, but as if my body just isn't absorbing the oxygen when I breathe which personally for me is scarier, because I can clear airways, i can't make my body remember how to breathe. To imagine ice skating in(cold) high tension situations and then trying to play off the asthma attack brought on by those conditions? This man is incredibly impressive.
My form of copd is the opposite I can't get the air out. It's horrible, & like asma some attacks can be downright scary. I can't imagine being on ice without at least a inhailer. But he has to. He could fall on it & cause injuries
honestly, he inspired me so much. with asthma, doctors always been telling me oh you cannot this, you cannot that, be careful and all. they made it seem like I would be able to do pretty much nothing. everybody thank yuzuru 🪼
Yuzuru San there's always a cost to pay having achieved such mind blowing skill❤but health is the most important treasure you must cherish. Please❤take care Hanyu😢👍😃🙏💖♥️
Thank you for your comment. Yuzuru has always had to deal with difficulties of all kinds at every stage of his competitive career, but he overcame all obstacles to become the successful skater that he is today.
As a person with Asthma. I know what he been through 😢 it's so difficult. On the other hand He is an athlete. it dangerous to play sports when you have asthma.

It's amazing how many top figure skaters have asthma. I believe Scott Hamilton did. I remember Tonya Harding breathing from an inhaler before a performance.
As a figure skater with asthma, i always keep an inhaler at the boards just incase! (Also i like to take it before i skate so i dont have to worry about it)
