Awesome win, Really nice work from Fried with 7 innings 3 runs and a career high 13 strikeouts. He’s been incredible this season. Offense also had a great night, homers from Ozzie and Arcia, they both had great games. Really nice to see the offense have games like this, hopefully also murphy is fine and that the elbow is nothing serious. Schwellenback on the mound tomorrow looking for the series sweep. Let’s go braves #ForTheA
Notes from the Game: + MAXIMUS FRIED WITH ANOTHER STRONG PERFORMANCE! 7 Innings of 3-Run (2 Earned), 4-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out a CAREER HIGH THIRTEEN (13) Red Sox Hitters en route to his 6th Win of the Season! Fried is now 6-2 with an ERA of 2.93! It was looking rough at first, but Innings 5-7 were SPECTACULAR! + Out of the Bullpen, Pierce Johnson and Jesse Chavez took care of the rest, SHUTTING DOWN the Sox over the final 2 Innings, Allowing Just 1 Hit while Striking Out 1! Just a SOLID Showing from the Pitching Tonight! ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 3 Runs (2 Earned), 5 Hits, 1 Walk, 14 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed! THIS IS THE BRAVES' OFFENSE WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR, AND IT SHOWED UP TONIGHT! + Duvall's Still trying to work though a Rough Patch, but perhaps Reaching on a FAILURE by Dom Smith and Scoring Two might get him started! Duvall Clings to a .196 Average with an OPS of .649! - REALLY ANDERSON?! Sean Murphy EXITED tonight's game after being WHACKED-BY-A-PITCH in his Arm, which started to swell noticeably. Murphy Finished 1-3 on the Night with an RBI Single in the 5th. To this point, Murphy is batting .182 with an OPS of .507 through just 7 Games this Season. BRING UP THE TROMP AGAIN? + THE OZ-MAN GETS HIS MAGIC BACK IN BEANTOWN! 2-4 with a Double in the 2nd and the GO-AHEAD, GAME-DECISIVE THREE-RUN SUPER MISSILE IN THE 6TH! Albies steps up to a .275 Average, .749 OPS, and 4 Home Runs on the Season! + ARCIA WITH A NIGHT OF HIS OWN! 2-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE in the 7th, and a Single in the 9th! Arcia Jumps Up to a .235 Average, .642 OPS, and 6 Homers on the Year! + MONEY MIKE FOUND HIS GROOVE LATE! 1-5 with an RBI Single in the 9th! Harris Holds onto a .259 Average with a .673 OPS! + OTHER NOTABLES: Marcell Ozuna and Jarred Kelenic earned 1 Hit each Tonight. Austin Riley, despite going 0-3, did earn a Walk, while Ozuna Notched a Walk of his Own. The ONLY Brave to go 0'fer tonight was Matt Olson, who was 0-4. + A VINTAGE BRAVES WIN AT FENWAY! Fried was STRONG, the Defense Prevented any Mistakes from becoming EXTREMELY COSTLY, and the Offense SHOWED OUT IN BEANTOWN! Crossing my fingers and PRAYING this is the start of a HOT June for the Bravos! - UNFORTUNATELY, The Phillies AND Mets have MATCHED our Two Wins with W's of their Own, while the Nationals and Marlins are on Losing Streaks. This Keeps the Braves 7 Games Behind Philadelphia, while the Nats, Mets, and Marlins are 8, 9 1/2, and 14 1/2 Games Behind the Braves. TOMORROW: THE FINAL ROUND of this TWO GAME SHOWDOWN IN BEANTOWN Between the Braves and Red Sox will take place under the Afternoon Skies of Fenway Park. Out of Options, The Sox will turn to a Familiar NEMESIS of the Braves in Nick Pivetta, Who's coming off a Decent Outing against the Tigers, in which he took an unfortunate loss, allowing just 2 Runs on 3 Hits in 5 1/3 Innings. Meanwhile, SPENCER SCHWELLENBACH will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, looking to build on his Debut Start against the Nationals, in which he took the Loss, Allowing 3 Runs on 5 Hits and 1 Walk in 5 Innings of work. Can SCHWELLENBACH and the Braves Complete the Season SWEEP of the Red Sox at the Legendary Confines? Or will Pivetta and the Sox Channel a Defiant Win against the Tomahawk Chop? We will find out at 1:35 P.M. EDT on NESN (Red Sox), Bally Sports South (Braves), and MLB Network (Out-Of-Market ONLY)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!
ATL has won 3 of their last 4 overall. I hate the fact rhat Acuna is out because he's a blessing to the game. This is still a damn good team and i expect the wins to keep piling up. Congrats on the won ATL and keep grinding 💪.
Ok ! Hey Atlanta of you need someone who saw the pitching three years ago give me a call. Off season irresponsible decisions in regards to starting pitching and long relief . I don't want to hear money issues either ! Go out and get first line pitching . Restructure contracts do what needs to be done because too much pressure is on three or four starting pitchers to pitch 8 innings to guarantee a win . Come on really !
