Great to get back up to the Noosa Offshore Kayak Fishing Comp! Was some pretty crazy weather with storms and swell and lots of wind to deal with, making a simple fish into an epic mission. In the past I have actually won this comp a few times but that was a long time ago and my luck seemed to have run out...or has it... Nice to get a good tuna and to have some fresh sashimi back on the menu.

Congrats, Rod! Good for you! But one word of advice: Make sure to sign the “Fisherman/Fish Agreement”before you roll out there on competition, otherwise, the fish refuse to get in your boat in protest. They have a strong union. 😂

i used the F word .. during his launch like 4 times.. that was the most unfortunate set of breakers one after another.. just getting hammered. that long paddle in after hours of fishing and dealing with the wind.. is exactly why i bought the nk180 motor :) .. had enough of that.. i am too hold to play in that weather.. good on you Rokkit.. you have some grit brother!

Rod,good effective setup for insect protection whilst boat csmping,I use similarly,need brickies level line,tie a length up,drape suitable length insect proof light material,seal both ends pegs and or safety pins,works well,happy adventures.
