Billy, it is worth mentioning that this morning walk by - the sea- at this time(hour) is an extremely alternative program, for those who cannot go to other places, such as Praia do Futuro, Porto das Dunas, Cumbuco, pool in condomium etc. . I myself live 1 km away and have never been to the “seaside” at that hour, and certainly in Twilight, I woud will.
Stop! Yeah there is really nice and safe but has another safe place in Brazil, in fact Fortaleza and Salvador are the least safe capital but not so dangerus like the most of the world and the Latin Amerca
There is really no comparison; Floripa is much safer than Fortaleza, even in the lower-income areas of Floripa. Both Salvador and Fortaleza hold records for assaults and homicides not only in South America but in the whole world every single year, without fail. It all depends on where you live in the city. I’ve lived in Floripa, and liked it a lot. I still like Fortaleza more. Floripa is too cold for my liking.
@@BillyGringo Running away from the cold brought me back to the DR, ready to move out... Lived in Belo Horizonte for a while, stayed @ Savassi/Funcionários area, but even there you can be mugged anytime. Before that, Ipanema, but "too many moradores da Rua"... Even to get some cash from the ATM (Ipanema) you would had to walk pass 7-8 people crashed inside the bank... In Balneário Camboriú I even saw signs stating that panhandling was prohibited... Not implying the south is better, but different... Thanks for the reply!
The South is much safer and more organized. There is no comparison. Anyone saying otherwise has serious issues. In Balneário Camboriu, they use drones and cameras to fine people for smoking weed on the beach. I lived that also. The plan is to be down there for summer. Se Deus quiser 🙏🏻
@@BillyGringo Not true! MAJORITY of homicides in Brazil .. more than 80% ....Most are young poor black people from poor areas specifically involved in gangs and things like that.... killing each other.... They are the national numbers....... IT´S NOT LIKE RANDOM KILLINGS like what you would see in the U.S. If you remove this specific group....... The homicide in Brazil is low.... In Brazil more than 30.000 in 2023 and in the USA .. more than 21.000 murders a year related to guns...... and more 26,328 suicides
Armazém is still open, with events happening more frequently on weekends. Many local promoters are organizing events there. Happy Street has been transformed into a more Brazilian, local vibe. The guy that owns the area is investing heavily there.
Comparing Fortaleza to Miami, well, man, Miami only has 449,514 (2022), properties must be much scarcer to find than Fortaleza, I don't know what the weather is like in Miami, but the entire coastline of the metropolitan region of Fortaleza is available for If you enjoy it all year round, and in fact, as I said, people from Fortaleza don't go to the "seaside" at this time, hour of day, people go to other beaches, or as I prefer restaurants and shopping like me, because I'm old guy.
I don’t like beaches. I guess I would be lost. Lol. Desculpa. Nao um paraiso. Tem grande problemas no Brasil. Nao seguro. Linda Cultura. Boa musica. A gente simpatico a gente colorosa. Brigad. Interesting. Fascinating to see.
Nobody cares and no one wants you to come here! It depends on the city and even state, some and some are more dangerous, there are many cities in the USA for example that are more dangerous than the Brazilian one, just look at the data of the most dangerous cities of 2023 and I checked what I’m talking about. He chose Fortaleza and is really not a safe city but one of the most dangerus in the country, even so many of Mexico win at the front, as well as St Louis and Baltimore.☠️🤡🤮
I think most gringos think brazil is like a warzone, yes it's not super safe but it's not like you're gonna step a foot here and get killed and robbed. 😂
