Respect to the Korean team, like one of the commentators were saying, it took a lot of hard work for them to get to this point, and they kept playing hard the whole game. The Brazilian team is just incredible
Feel bad for South Korea who gave it their all in the group stage and also this match, but unfortunately ended up facing one of the strongest opponents in the world. At least they scored one goal. Congrats Brazil
Korea played a completely clean game. In a knockout phase, they could have played with the intention of hurting the Brazilian players, but they played the most honest game I've seen so far, no hard tackle, no stomp, no mean attitude. They showed excellent sportsmanship on the field and for this reason, earned everyone's respect.
I'm glad you mentioned the sportsmanship of SK. The positively criminal play that passes for football with some teams is sickening. It is definitely not "the beautiful game".
Like Argentina for example. If we face Argentina National team on the Semi-Finals you are definitely seeing what im talking about, of how they play so dirty, specially against Brazil…
@@eddievargas704 2002 Brazil was indeed legendary -- perfect blend of older retiring players, players in their prime, and young stars. There were no weak links, anywhere. This Brazilian team may be comparable: I see no weaknesses.
@@avocaza1393 bro works a minimum wage job and girls don’t look in his general direction. He walks the earth with zero skill sets spewing his self hatred on people more successful than himself.
Yup. The mistakes everyone made in groups Brazil was not going to repeat. Mad respect for Korea for all the work and skill they put into this cup, excited to see them back in four years.
As a brazilian I want to congratulate south koreans and Japanese for such an incredible run this world cup. Putting their best effort in, very worthy opponents and no one thought they would get as far as they did. Also, the most respectful and honorable players and fans in the whole tournament. See you guys next time!
the thing is teams like korea and japan have to give it their all from the start, while teams like brazil and portugal can take it a little easier at the beginning and keep increasing their efforts. it's a difference that shows, especially in games like this in the knockouts :(
That first penalty kick is ridiculous. Brazilian player runs up into the Korean player's kick from behind, and cries like he was hurt and didn't just run up in his blind spot.
Honestly it should have been 2-1 or 3-1. That first goal shouldn’t have occurred had Kim Seung Gyu stayed in the goal. But we still would have lost tho.
I’m so proud of Japan and Korea! They were truly underdogs and just making it to the last 16 is AMAZING! I hope to see Japan and Korea in the next World Cup!
You will see them. Take it to the ATM. They're both masters of their domain & w/ the expanded field it would take a colossal collapse for them not to make it.
there was no spirit from Koreans. Its apply to JAPAN. They were full of spirit and gave their all till last second. Korea ate 4 goals in 40 min. I cant call it great spirit
@@m.n.s.s2825 exactly I can respect the Japanese a little bit but Korea didn't do shi matter of fact they didn't even deserved to make it that far it shoulda been Uruguay
This Brazilian team is just pure class. Look at how unselfishly they play and create chances for one-another and get rewarded for it with all the goals. They should be elated!
As a Korean, I think the Korean team should be proud for what they achieved this World Cup. They finally made it to the Round of 16 after 2010, and their overall play was a significant upgrade from their former selves. This year's Brazil team is incredible (even for Brazil), and even when Korea was losing 4-0 they kept going and got on the scoreboard. There are still ways to go for them, but this was a giant step forward. A big applause for the Korean team, and I'll be rooting for Brazil from this point on.
Japan and Korea were not expected to make the last16. But they defied the odds and gave hope to the people of Asia. Kudos to them! But still, Brazil is too strong 🇧🇷 lol!
@@theydidntlikegerman3095 it's all about the result. If Uruguay didn't make it, it just meant they didn't deserve it. That's why soccer's fun and round
@@theydidntlikegerman3095 Bot. Uruguay had one of the most disappointing World Cup appearances. They would of lost easily to Brazil or Croatia. At least Japan was able to give Croatia a run for their money. Shame it ended on penalties. South Korea played their heart out to make it to the round of 16.
Brasil was already the contender to win the cup but i guess they and the referee wanted to assure their victory from the beginning and discourage the Korean squad,, Why play so dirty when they say they are so confident to win this match,,, I've never seen such a call in my 40+ years of watching and playing football,,,, Come on~ you can't go around the world and say you are proud of your national team after winning the goal this way from the start ! 😂...That's a joke and self deception,,,,
I would just say congrats to Brazil But I’m really proud of my country for getting this far in the World Cup, all the players made me proud this world cup
And Korea played a cool clean game, not violent as Serbia and Camaroes in the first stage! Wish Korea was in another group, so I would keep supporting Korea and Brasil . But both Koreans ad Brazilians support Tottenham, isn't it? ;)
Brazil is just too good and all the moves are amazingly smooth. Wow. But the Korea’s goal was absolutely beautiful. 🎉 They did good! As Japanese, I wanted to watch Japan vs Brazil, but after watching this, I’m not sure! Lol. But I enjoyed WC this time probably the most! I’m proud of all the players. Big hug to all the teams. ❤
@@DJ-vi9gu Raphinah was my MOTM honestly. Despite not scoring, he singlehandedly created the first goal, which boosted their confidence going forward. He was ruthless on this wing and also defended really well. This is not a comparison or anything. Casemiro was also amazing.
The referee was clearly biased. If you watched the entire game, he would ignore most of penalties by Brazil but he would make sure Korean penalties won't go unnoticed against Brazil. The penalty shot given to Brazil was just ridiculous. Watch the whole game and you'll see what I'm talking about.
OH MY GOD! I work as a teacher of Portuguese in the US and wasn't able to see the first three goals during the match. Now that I see them, I am just flabbergasted. What class! What elegance! This is Brazil! So proud of my compatriots who left our beautiful and remote tropics to win the respect of the world.
Yeah~ that penalty in the beginning stage of the game totally discouraged the Korean squad. **Clearly not a penalty** Korean defender tried to clear the ball and Richarlison came running from behind and put himself to get kicked by the Korean defender and the referee calls that a penalty...??😆🤣 it's a joke,,,, One of the most biased dirty calls made by the referee i believe (What would Brasilian fans say if this happened to them?? The opponent's attacker comes running from behind and let himself get kicked 😬,,, haha) Referee definitely contributed to Brasil's win,,, We all know how capable and persistent was Korea as we saw the 2nd half, we could have flipped the game!! 🧐
The best performance by Brazilian team in this WC. They were mistro at art of soccer. SK played with their heart and never gave up . Respect to SK and congrat to Brazil!
Despite the score line when Korea scored their goal I have to say it really put a smile on my face just seeing the joy and excitement on the faces of the people of Korea 👏😌
I will always support my Brazil team, but I have to say that the South Korea team did incredibly and they have so much to be proud of. I wish this match wasn't against SK, I loved seeing them advance.
I am Korean and today's game was incredible. Watching Brazilian soccer is amazing. The control, the movement and the execution. Great job Brazil! Thank you for showing us what great football is.
that third Goal, Brazilians are too creative when it comes to goal scoring. so fun to watch and as a Korean what a great game to watch for both teams. go all the way Brazil and good job Korea~
Koreans love the Brazilian National team after they visited Korea during the friendlies before the WC. They were super respectful and were really nice to all the young fans. Hope they take home the trophy! Vamos Brazil!
All smile all smiles were gone as soon as I saw that horrible call of a penalty kick for the 2nd goal that probably completely demoralized the Korean team
@P. Albi ok, no penalty, but korea only scored 1 goal. They are demoralized? They are a professional team. They get paid to play. Get over it. They are an inferior team, and they lost. Just be glad they played Brazil and not France. It would have been 8 or 9 to 0. Just mbappe would have smoked them.
Considering this is the first time in the tournament where the Brazilian starting lineup got scored on, I have to give respect to South Korea for how hard they fought the entire time. Bummer that we don't get to see more of them this year. Congrats Brazil! Rooting for you!
So the additional of a few more players makes it a starting lineup on 11 person team? Players play the team that is in front of them. And Brazil has an embarrassment of riches, their B team alone can qualify and play in this world cup. Let's give credit to all the teams that scored against Brazil and played well against them rather than charity pick reasons to make the South Korean's standout.
@@starmontfortune353 Sure, credit is due to anyone who can score against Brazil. Congrats- but SK is still the only team to have scored on their starting lineup.
@@crow_g1639 cuz korea fought well as an underdog? Everyone knows Brazil is super good (fifa rank 1) so they're focusing more on Korea's performance. Geez calm ur tempers down buddy
@CROW _G exactly all the koreaboos who by the way, are not fans of the game are commenting. SK sucks and made it by 2 goals. They had the same points and exactly the same performance as Uruguay. They sucked. They just sucked 2 goals more than Uruguay. Any team of the 15 there would have made 5 or more goals against them.
South Korea put up a good fight, and making it to the Knockout Stage is a Major Accomplishment. Stay True & Proud, because you belonged in this World Cup & Beyond. Much Respect from 🇺🇸
The way Brazil handles the ball at every touch is insane. It's like as natural as walking whereas every other team seems to be playing a sport, they're just going for a stroll.
Honestly South Korea and Japan should be proud making it this far nobody expected South Korea and Japan to face off and even beat the likes of Portugal, Germany, Spain, etc. South Korea shared the field for the first time against Brazil who has the most World Cup wins outta any country that’s an achievement on its own keep your heads high South Korea and Japan
I couldn’t see the penalty initially in slow motion, but when I actually went and re-watched much closer in normal speed, you can actually see the Korean player clipped him on the inside of his right foot . Inside the box.. it’s a PK my friend
@@tucsonmaui if it's not evident that there's even contact in slow motion then it shouldn't be a penalty. Particularly in the box since that's such a major advantage to be giving.
@@monarch1993 hes literally just mad his own country isnt in there hes been hating on everyone commenting on korea regardless of the comment being positive or not. its pathetic.
One thing I love about the World Cup is the huge amount of joy the fans get seeing their country score a goal, even at 4-1 down, they're still so jubilant. Love it!
Korea could've have managed this game a lot better. That first goal was devastating. If they had not been rattled so early it would have gone differently. Good to see Lee Kangin and Baek Seungho have such an impact.
FYI, we almost always conceded the first goal from the start of this competition. There was a tactical reason (or failure) behind that. Unlike the previous world cups, we chose an offensive stance against teams stronger than us this time, not without a price. That means side defenders must overlap and deliver crosses to the attackers. The trade-off is, of course, simple. When we lose the ball, our side will be defenseless, and then, we lose a goal early in the match.
@@Young-bn8wt That was the exact reason, why the match between us and Ghana was crazy. We lose goals and TRY to score more. Not a stable tactic since Korea is not a powerhouse, but could still work as an element of surprise sometimes, especially against teams that were expecting us to play a defensive game. And, Brazil of course knew that and ate us alive.
Can't really blame South Korea, they actually played really well, just they came up against Brazil, arguably the strongest team in the cup. They definitely were not expected to make it out of group consisting of Urguway and Portugal, along with a Ghana team that was performing very well. Credit it to them for making it this far and not giving up in this game.
As a Korean I say, after 4 years of preparation. All the money spent our team could only win 1 game, drew 1 and lost 3 of the 5 they played. I'm embarrassed.
Brazil is amazing. Not only is their teamwork perfect but each player has a little swagger that keeps defenders on their heels. Was rooting for the underdog Korea but really appreciated the display by Brazil
0:40 The good news is, thanks to those fine fellows from Croatia, the Brazilian dance team can be on the very next flight bound for Rio de Janeiro, so they can work on their dance routine, w/o the silly distraction of trying to win football matches, to slow them down.
Vini plus Richarlison and Raphinha were fully rested versing tired Korean players. Every time Brazil countered in the first half they were able to completely overwhelm the Korean defense with pace and then subsequently the quality of players like Vini, Richarlison, Paqueta executed the attacks to near perfection.
The world really gassed up Brazil for one good performance against mighty Korea, first time they met a decent opponent they got knocked out, most overrated team in the world.
I'm proud of Korea's team, they were not expected to make it out of groups but did so, and fought hard until the very end against possibly the best team in the world
That goal from South Korea was amazing!!! Brazil's game is just pure art. Korea should be really proud! They showed the world what they can be capable of. I hope to see them back in 2026.
Penalty call was so fake... betting money and paying referee's changes things...that penalty changed the whole dynamic of the game, but congrats to Brasil. Korea you did well too.
Although I'm Korean, I'm now supporting Brazil on their way to the wc finals. They played world class football today, and the way they made the goals were pure class. They deserve a respect. What a performance, and also the Korean goal was amazing too.
Im Brazilian and you guys have a great team. You should be more than proud. Could have been 3-2 but it is what it is. Losing to the best team in history is nothing to be ashamed of. Specially this team that might just win it all.
I never expected Korea to win but that stupid penalty decision is what killed the game. You can clearly see Korea being demoralized going 2 goals down that early and Brazil played much more freely.
Politics are everywhere and spoils the fair game. Was referee brought prior to the game??? Expected the video replay to be used but didn't happened??? We might have a different outcome. No one knows.
South Korea - you've proved your worth at this year's WC. You're a superb team. Big respect. You don't have to flaunt. You're so humble. You have the red devils strong willed, passionate fan base. You guys will be back in WC26 in LA. Let's go and get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That penalty was a bit harsh, coming in from behind and then getting the call. But it didn't matter in the end. Great showing from S. Korea this tournament. But Brazil looking really good!
Korea fought well. Deserved to be the top 16 of the tournament. Brazil is at a whole another level though. Out of this world! Just incredible and awe-inspiring.
Love the players! Love the country! Never ever forget where I came from! You did the nation proud South Korea! Heads up high! We’re onto the AFC cup and see you in the next 4 years! Dae Han Min Guk hwaiting!!!! 🇰🇷❤️🐯
Brazil looked so formidable. No teams have a chance if they continue to play this way. How the Brazilians played in the first 35 minutes of this game was just scary good.
Those Korean fans still going nuts for their team goal despite being down 4-0 at the time is super wholesome…..that’s what football is all about! Congrats to South Korea on a heck of a tournament.
To South Korea, please don’t feel upset please don’t feel bad. We’ve seen moments when your team has made surprises in the World Cup. I wasn’t born in 2002, but I’ve heard all the talk about it. This World Cup and last World Cup you’ve guys proved to be a team which deserves to be up there. Congratulations Korea on making it to the round of 16, and the greatest of fortunes for UNITED 2026!! ❤ 🇰🇷
I dont think 2002 WC campaign can be considered their highlight tbh. It was a blot on world football. But this world cup, they have been truly remarkable
As a Korean I have to say that Brazil players showed a fluid, natural, effortless display of art in this game. The difference in skill level is unfortunately screamingly obvious. Well deserved win, congratulations!
The 3rd goal was absolute greatness , Brésil has the best performance in this tournament so far! I have that feeling I had back in 2002 when you feel their swagger and you know deep inside they gonna win it all! Im a French supporter!
As a korean, great applause to the Korean team and Brazilian team. It is Korea's 3rd time to pass through the knock-out stage, and I think the team Korea has shown everything they have, more than what they have. I really enjoyed watching the play of Korean players and also world-class Brazilians players in the same match. Send my best wishes to Brazil!
